I just discovered this podcast and it is the best tennis podcast around. So many great guests and the host should really have his own show on the Tennis Channel. Such a great discovery.

I have been an avid podcast listener for sometime, but I just came across this podcast and I must say, give this a try. It needs to be its own show. There are so many great conversations about backstories, careers and ins & outs of the tour. The host, John is amazing, and makes the experience so enjoyable. Add this show to your queue now.

Best tennis podcast around by a mile

The best tennis podcast around! I highly recommend this to any tennis fan.

This is such an awesome podcast. The host interviews past and present WTA players with the best questions and comments in the world and is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and brings out the best in all of the tennis players who visit his show. He goes over their tennis career from first time they saw a tennis match to present day. He always tries to focus on the positive every guest has a great time talking with him. Just wish the show was on more frequently because they are so fun to listen to and I always look forward to when the next episode will arrive. Would love to see Jennifer Capriati or Mary Joe Fernandez as a future guest on the show. Keep up the good work!

This is a great podcast for tennis fans. I’ll go ahead and say the best in fact. Jon is pretty much the ideal host as far as interviewing/talking with WTA tennis players goes. I actually chatted with him for a minute in Chicago last year while watching Vichka practice. Jon was very friendly and expressed his gratitude for supporting the podcast. Certainly not claiming to know him personally, but the guy just seems like a genuine good dude for lack of a better term. He is extremely knowledgeable about the careers of the players he interviews. He’s also never too intrusive or pushy about their private lives but still asks questions they’re comfortable with that aren’t always just tennis related. Another thing that’s easy to identify when listening to the episodes is that the players and other guests seem to enjoy talking to Jon, which speaks volumes considering the amount of time most players have sacrificed to do press and other media obligations that are usually not very productive. In today’s world athletes are reluctant to reveal information through media and press conferences, rightfully so. Jon’s podcast provides a safe space for the players and other guests to say what they want to say on their own terms and explain why they feel that way.

I came here to listen to the Hana Mandlikova podcast and it was wonderful! I enjoyed it so much that I started listening to various interviews in the archives. The host consistently comes up with interesting questions for his fascinating guests. You can tell he’s excited to learn new things right along with the audience, and he always interacts with his subjects in a respectful way. THANK YOU so much for featuring the great HOF’er, Hana. She was truly a magnificent talent with a complete record of grand accomplishments, and she’s a pleasant person that comes across as very humble and grateful. Well done!

Really happy I stumbled upon this! His soft touch really works with respect to getting players comfortable so much so that you learn things about them you simply can’t get elsewhere. Fun approach and great listen! Also big shout-out to the variety of guests- love the throwbacks plus the current players.

One of the best podcasts for the tennis fans and geeking out on learning more behind the scenes and different players! Jon asks some really good questions that sparks interesting conversation. You should definitely check it out if you are a tennis fanatic especially if you are a big fan of the WTA tour!

I have grown very attached to this show. The audio quality is amazing, the host John is so fun and the guests are absolutely fantastic. If you are a tennis fan, you MUST hear this show. The best tennis podcast out there

Good guests. Interview game is weak.

The host Jon is a perfect mix between Andy Cohen and Barbara Walters — all the interactions are kept very light and upbeat, but his questions are very well constructed - we get to know so much about the players he chats with...I always feel like I’m right there in the room with them, making a new friend too. The chats are fun and never stall. I’m always so excited when I see a new episode has been released. Tennis Channel, if you’re reading this —— this guy deserves his own show with you.

If you are a fan of the WTA, this podcast is definitely for you. On each podcast, Jon, the host, (who is a fantastic tennis player himself) interviews a WTA player from the past or present alongside one of the biggest fans of that player. It's fun, upbeat, quite dishy, and always very entertaining. A must for all tennis fans!

I’m not even a Tennis fan but these interviews have been so entertaining and such a joy to listen to. Jon knows his stuff and is probably the worlds biggest women’s tennis fan. And it shows!

Really insightful! Having played on the pro tour myself, it is so great to see a host who knows the game ask great questions. For every tennis fan, this is the BEST way to get to know your favorite players (and maybe add to your list of favorites!)

The host of this show needs his own show. He is excellent and the audio quality is really great. I love listening to this show, I just wish they had multiple episodes per week. So far there have only been 3 shows. It would be great to have someone big like, Monica Seles or Andre Agassi on as well.
