GreenMtns99S.Harris episodeUsually like your show Andrew. Harris is an obnoxious condescending know-it-all- insufferable.

Hannahbelle#1Rod DreherI had not heard of this man before but after doing some investigating, I’m surprised that you would platform a man who so clearly has contempt for the queer community, of which you are a part. He’s obviously a huge Orban fan and seems out of touch with just how outrageous things have gotten here politically in the US over the past few years. His agenda is very clear…as is his willingness to excuse and allow anything in order to create the world in which he wants to live. Disappointing.

SAV 74Jeffery ToobinInteresting having Jeffery on, it seems he has personal issues to attend to-more news May 2024. I cannot find him credible, white men can do anything without consequences.

HeartandbileLet the guest talkAndrew won’t shut up and appears to invite guests so he can show off his own intelligence. The Lionel Shriver interview was appalling because she barely had a chance to speak and the questions were reflective of someone who had not bothered to read her work or prepare. I wanted to hear her searing insights. Separately, for someone who claims to be so well-read, the rapture in christianity’s presumed originality that Andrew so often expresses never accounts for the fact that all the ideas of Christianity were expressed first by Jewish patriarchs. For a US transplant, Andrew is a firm product of narrow Christian European thinking and it shows in his attitudes and (lack of) understanding of Israel too. Love him, either way. But, come on.

Royce1629I understand the need for a pay wall, but I wish it wasn't there. This is a great source of information on where the center right is! The guests are amazing, the discussion engaging, and I always appreciate Andrews take on things. I just wish that the ball interview was available without having to pay, and instead we had to suffer through advertisements to gain access to the rest of this otherwise amazing show.

PBMCDI really tried.Ugh. Andrew and his catholic beliefs are so boring. He gets so close to figuring it out when taking about tripping on LSD and yet it solidifies his beliefs. Tran substantiation? The Holy Trinity? What? It’s just ridiculous. Listen to the episode with the Brian Murareusku. And Brian says that one atheist described her LSD trip as feeing as if surrounded by the love of God (or something to that effect). Yeah. Dopamine. And God is what we ALL planted in our brain from the time we are born. Of course it comes out. I’ll try more episodes that aren’t about religion.

frankwhitenykingAndrew is Top Notch 🤌Andrew has great guests and gives great interviews. Very thoughtful and informative. Just finished the Kara Swisher episode, and she’s gotta be the biggest Bozo in Media. Her hypocrisy is astounding. Cognitive Dissonance at the highest level. All that Narcissism from her is just ridiculous. Keep up the amazing work, Andrew!

Free Rider007Louder, pleaseThis show has terrible audio quality. Andrew Sullivan is soft spoken, what you’d call at Low Talker on the old Seinfeld show. Andrew doesn’t need to shout but he does need an audio engineer to help improve the sound quality and sound levels. It’s a shame that a usually thoughtful show has such poor technical support.

jyotikataraConspiracy Theories AboundDisappointed about your most recent podcast supporting a conspiracy theory about Covid. Maybe Covid was in the Chinese balloon over the US? You are going down the rabbit hole. No proof. Sad, since I thought your critical thinking was based on fact. I have been a long time listener and have enjoyed your show. Oh and Trump was right? There’s three cases in the US. They’ll be gone in a week. Sure. That happened. Unsubscribe. Book yourself on Joe Rogan or Jordan Petersons show. This is how the slippery slope to standing on the side of a Texas road waiting for JFK to be reincarnated happens. Did the US royally screw up the pandemic? Absolutely! Was the messaging from the CDC totally off course. 💯! Was the vaccine started by and shepherded to market by the trump administration- yes. Did the vaccine save lives - yes, millions.

Blind nateThank you for being the voice of reasonI seen you on the Bill Maher this week and I have to say I would totally support you for the run for president. This podcast in your appearances on Bill Maher absolutely phenomenal but that doesn’t surprise me. You’re also friends with Matt Taibbi :-) another wonderful reporter. Thank you for providing your interesting look in today’s society I have a deep respect for you and anyone who reads this review should know that this is one of the best podcasts in the world 12 out of 10.

GatsbyNYCShame on youSo disappointed in the way you went after Glen Loury for his friendships. You had just been preaching about humans being complex and full of flaws, then you turn around and do what everyone else does - expect people to justify their relationships. Time to grow up, Mr. Sullivan. Also - shut up once in a while. I already know what you think, I'd like to hear from your guests.
-
Christian SegallLoveGreat balanced view
-
MidwestGurrlAuthenticLove the honesty of this episode with Mr. Loury. Thanks.

TextdghLucky to get three starsHe gets three stars for having Matthew Continetti on his show, although, he deserves zero stars for how he conducted the interview. I used to think he was reasonable, but he is frantically unstable, at least from that interview. I mean, he actually considers Obama moderate and went as far to saying Obama would’ve been a Republican in the 1990s. Is he freaking serious? I got to give it to him, though, the dude can hate while maintaining his pretentiousness.

calimom39Louise PerryThis is a good podcast but I could not believe the stuff Andrew was saying to his guest Louise Perry who does work with sexual violence victims. He kept saying that women must really like sexual violence, kept going on about it! What on earth does he, a gay man, know about what real women like in bed! I found this very disappointing and disturbing. I am so sick of gay men thinking we should all be having sex like them (think of Dan Savage). Then he wouldn’t let her make her points about what a disaster the violent porn industry is. I don’t know why so many men have such a blindness about porn, and can’t have any imagination about the trauma it causes the women involved, not to mention the families it destroys. It was very tiresome and sad.
-
Chris G...Bad audio qualityThe few I’ve listened to must not be recorded in sufficient recording settings with appropriate gear. Not great quality by the host or interviewee.
-
phelpstimoreLouise Perry Interview…In which Sullivan reveals himself to be a sexual masochist who normalizes and promotes sexual violence against women in order to satiate the all-deserving and apparently indomitable male libido. Sullivan’s ideas and attitudes are exactly where all male violence against women come from. His insistence on some inherent violence in sex which excuses anything (including strangulation- of the female) was simply disgusting. Unsubscribing from Dishcast. Gross.
-
londoncalling797Some interesting discussions, but andrew has a huge blind spotsurprise: it’s women I don’t blame him for this because it’s a common experience among men, sometimes especially gay men who don’t recognize that sexism is still pervasive, but I do wish he would not express so much doubt at experiences of so many of his female guests, even when they appear in multiple episodes. He really just doesn’t understand the experience of women, and when they tell him, he doesn’t believe it. That said, he does have some really interesting discussions with a diverse group of people and I appreciate hearing his take on a number of different issues. I hope he takes some time to learn in this topic. Overall I do recommend the podcast with that caveat.

zilzatAhmariSullivan’s critiques of Ahmari are all well-taken and devastating. Why did he want to interview this shallow reactionary? While Ahmari rails against the corrupting effects of drag queens, he says not a word about the Kardashians, Alex Jones, FOX News etc ad infinitum.
-
Salubrious SpringAhmari interview was terrificAndrew, Wonderful pod with Ahmari. This fellow seems like the ultimate intellectual gadfly. He’s been a Marxist, a neocon, and a post liberal nat con. In 5 years there is zero chance he’s still a nat con. Andrew, you really made amazingly strong case for liberalism here. Keep it up!! Thank you.

MimiRueEasy listenLove this podcast! Have been introduced to interesting people by a delightful host!

StaciaMiaPodcast OverallMr. Sullivan is a treasure. His writings and podcast are great. I so enjoy when he is a guest on Real Time with Bill Maher. Wishing him continued success.
-
Kewaunee GalPeter StaleyI was thankful to hear a reasonable voice - Peter Staley - on trans issues. His empathy toward families with trans kids is sorely needed in our society. I urge Andrew to have parents of trans kids on his show to challenge his prejudices.
-
carlos felipe barriosLove this podcastGreat host. Wonderful guests. Principled, heterodox thinking.
-
Annoying voicePodcast with Jennifer SeniorPlease hire an editor/producer. What promised to be a fascinating interview, was instead a chat between two friends with lots of cross-talk, name dropping, unexplained references, insider jokes. It was like being invited to a get together over coffee and then being excluded from the conversation,.
-
Gatopardo71Great guests - good hostSullivan gets consistently great guests with diverse viewpoints and he is a gracious host with real humanity that shines through his chats. However, he talks a LOT and has the frustrating habit of interrupting his guests in the middle of a story or a important point they are making. The vibe is more of a dinner party discussion between two friends talking over each other than an interview. Interesting and different perhaps, but there are so many times we can get the story of Sullivan’s upbringing. Still, his sister sounds like is great.
-
rusticksone of the very bestIf you could only download one podcast, this might be it. Andrew is kind, thoughful, brilliant, poignant etc. And he get's the most interesting guests. Thanks Andrew for access to your brain.

Gnome chopperDmExcellent show with Douglas Murray. Fascinating conversation about difficult subjects. 2 master conservationists unafraid. Loved it 😊
-
Fluffhead2022RoganAndrew, Go on Joe Rogan please.
-
NotthefinalroseLove the podcast but…Andrew has a tendency to talk over his guests, a real desire to answer his own questions and show how smart he is. Otherwise, excellent podcast.

-
mmonikaaaThank you !Your interview with Samuel Ramani was amazing. Your podcast is wonderful.
-
Shwayne5Another great addition to podcastingAndrew, how can we get your guests a good quality microphone? Also are you using Zoom? The longer I listen to this podcast the more I realize that Andrew is more interested in debating/interrupting his guests than he is actually listening. I’m not saying he’s not allowed to disagree but he’s so combative about it that his guest (the expert in the topic they’re covering) doesn’t really get the kind of runway they need in order to form a coherent thought before he interjects with his feelings about the topic.

icyfingerwavesI love Anne ApplebaumAndrew was being an idiot and she wasn’t having it!

Derivatives TraderEdward Luttwak interview was greatEdward did a great job putting into historical context the strengths/ weaknesses of the great powers - US (good military, competent diplomats, incompetent intelligence!), Chinese (terrible at strategy, great at everything else!), the Russians etc
-
MonkeeniWonderful discussionsDiscussion isnt necessarily about facts but interpretation, how each speaker contributes their own experience of this life. What i love about this show is the intelligent thoughtfulness and respect Mr Sullivan gives to each subject and contributor - disagreement needn’t be disagreeable. Im so damned tired of the endless vitriol that passes for analysis and discussion today. I miss this level of discourse. Thank you for this terrific show.
-
Grateful & HopefulYossi Klein Halevi on ZionismI thought this was the most informative, respectful discussion I have heard on the origins of the State of Israel and a debate on the two state solution from the Israeli perspective and the Palestinian perspective represented passionately by Andrew. This podcast has become an important source of information broadening my understanding of the issues of the day. Thank you.
-
andrea_in_brooklynAndrew is stellarThis podcast surpasses expectations. I love Andrew! He was one of the voices of reason in 2020 that opened my eyes. I just wish he didn’t hate Trump, but you can’t have everything.
-
CalifLawyerFun, Clever, Fascinating - Perfect work out podcastAlways fascinating, clever takes, wide variety of guests. Andrew Sullivan is unafraid to ask the tough questions - and his guests engage in passionate, CIVIL discourse. PERFECT podcast for working out or walks.
-
CaughtMyEyeI love listening to smartI don’t always agree but I always love listening to this show. Smart, smart, smart is always entertaining and this show educates and entertains and when I disagree is when I love it most.

Bleecker44Poor preparationI listened to the latest Dishcast with Mr Shellenberger Mr Sullivan apparently does little to no preparation for the Dishcast. He allowed Mr Shellenberger to state factually untrue things 1. A claim NYC mandates shelter use. It does not 2. Me Shellenberger and Mr Sullivan stated that homeless addicts should be in the shelters. In NYC at least disruptive high guests will not be admitted. It seemed like they made up facts to support their thesis. This happens to be a topic I know a little about. Makes me wonder what Dishcast does on the other 99.9% of topics I don’t know.. Listen at your own peril.

Bunny CubBJG slays SullivanMaybe have Ben Burgis next so he can totally annihilate you? Or just stick with Sam Harris and others so you can have mutual agreement society and never have to back up your arguments.
-
RichSCWpgA must listen for moderates of any political stripe!Fantastic guests, Andrew adds nuance to many complex topics which will challenge your thinking and beliefs you might hold. An absolute must listen for political moderates who are tired of extreme views on either side of the aisle. Keep it up Andrew, you are insightful, open minded, fearless and thoughtful in each episode.

C@Centennial44LOVE Andrew!!!!!I’ve been listening to this podcast for months now. Andrew’s personality, humor and intellect set him apart from an other voice in modern American life and he’s become my favorite. I don’t always agree with him, but his willingness to address issues other more heterodox voices shy away from makes me examine ideas I might not otherwise encounter. His candor and faith are also disarming. Try listening to this podcast!
