I love the content, but I can’t understand how a professionally done podcast can have such consistently bad sounding audio. There’s almost always some kind of off-putting, subtle reverb. It sometimes can make me reluctantly switch off.

These guys came to my attention 2016’ish in the first term mainly through their smart Lincoln Project ads. Then I started listening to the pod and have never stopped. While I fall somewhere in the middle politically, you needn’t be concerned wherever you fall politically. These guys, as former R insiders, are truth tellers no matter how ugly, and offer actions you can take yourself. You will learn something in every pod. Listen, share, rate and contribute if you can. You won’t regret it.

Your podcast is keeping me sane-thank you! Something is weird with your volume…it’s so low that I have to turn it up really far, then get blasted by the in-podcast ads. Please fix that!

Rick has done a superb job in his last podcast of stating what has happened. Which is, in different words, the US has fully relinquished it role -and responsibility- to continuously work to create and maintain a stable world, a world in which all species, including mankind, can hope their young have good lives. Given it up for a mirage.

Love this show, but lately it’s very difficult to hear Rick. I have to turn the volume WAY up and then the ads blast me out of my car.

Great guests, relevant topics, and he NEVER wastes time listening to himself talk. I always feel encouraged after listening.

The world according to college educated white dudes

I am writing to everyone I can trying to understand why no one is looking to the electoral college to do its main mandate. Thomas Jefferson wrote that it was up to the electoral college to prevent a demigod, even supported by the public, from entering the Presidency. They are not there to simply nod their heads to the results but to review and determine if this person poses a real threat to the democracy of America. Can you speak up?

My husband and I watched and listened to you just about every day since we found your podcasts, and you’ve helped us deal with this political and social nightmare. That said, we know you’re probably exhausted and bummed out now, as we all are. But please remember that everyone who’s not in the Trump cult (and we are legion) really needs you and those like you now more than ever. We see real, unprecedented danger to everyone & the world with this presidency, and we’re going to need your insight, encouragement and strategy to deal with it over the next 4 years. Here are our 2 questions for you at this juncture: 1. How similar is our current political situation in the US to that in 1932 Germany, when Hitler was just elected? 2. At what point should people who are against Trump move out of the US (assuming that is feasible for them)? a. (sub questions): Where is the line in the sand on this decision, ie, how do we know when it’s time to go (for people who can afford to move out of the US, but it would be a real sacrifice in other ways) ? E.g., When groups of thugs start roving our cities or neighborhoods, threatening/using violence on people openly critical of Trump? Or, sooner than that (most likely), when public figures critical of Trump (d.g., you, Adam Schiff, Jon Stewart, Sam Harris, etc) start becoming silent or leave the US for fear of persecution by the Trump administration? I just listened to the latest episode, in which Rick advises us, “Don’t drink their poison,” and addresses “The Elephant in the Room,” AKA the demoralizing message from the Trump camp. I didn’t realize I needed to attend a pep rally, but I did. Thank you, Rick, for creating one.
