    Best hiking podcast
Being from the NH area this is the best hiking podcast. Most relatable to me anyway. Only gripe is most episodes are a bit long at over 2 hours. Still rating 5 Stars!

    Keeps me motivated!!
I love your podcast and it has been a great motivator for me since I both lost my mom AND broke my fibula in early May, which meant I couldn't hike to help me with my grief. But I listen to you both and your guests and it is great. Thank you!!

    Excellent podcast!
The show is even better the more you hike in New Hampshire... lots of good info, fun facts and great guests. Makes me want to go hiking! It also does a good job of reminding me of past hikes and inspiring me with cool new areas to check out. Mike and Stomp have great chemistry on the show. I really enjoy their dynamic and the way they rib on each other and enjoy themselves. It is clear they are having a great time and I have a great time when I listen too.

    Excellent podcast
I live in the North Country and discovered this podcast through a live recording at Rek-Lis brewery (that episode is full of hilarious moments, please listen to it!). It’s so well done - the Stomp tracks, voiceovers, interesting and informative topics - I love listening to this when I’m out in the Whites. Please keep up the great work and would love to see another live recording in 2024.

    Excellent Pod
As someone who spends way too much time in the Whites, I find this to be an excellent source of information and insights. Mike and Stomp have solid perspectives, bring on outstanding guests (and interview them very well). Every episode brings new insight. Keep up the great work.

The perfect companion for White Mountain hikers
I found this podcast after my cousin died while hiking and Mike and Stomp covered his passing with incredible compassion. Since then I have gone back and listened to every episode. It’s the perfect mix of practical tips, history, humor, and, of course, search and rescue news. It’s now my companion for those long drives back and forth to the Whites!

    Excellent podcast
Solid info from people who know what they are talking about. They give you a roadmap of topics for the episodes to so you can travel within the episode to what you want if you choose. Good stuff.

Fantastic resource for anyone who spends time in The Whites.
I’ve been a listener since the beginning. Mike and Stomp have done a fantastic job growing their podcast. Always interesting guests and topics. I hope it’s around for a long time.

    Awesome sauce!
Come on people. You know these guys are the real deal. I listen to them every new episode. I love the weather at the top. I live far from NH, but it’s a good way to start. Someday maybe the local weather can be substituted, but for now, it’s awesome. We all wish we had such an appropriate weather forecast for our hiking adventures.

    Best hiking podcast
This is the best hiking podcast. I have been listening since the beginning. I came across the podcast because I had left a Search and Rescue team due to lack of time but missed going out on missions. I quickly came to realize this is more than just search and rescue. It’s all about the north east, and the white mountains, hiking, history, and search and rescue missions that not just happen in New England but around the world. I look forward to listening to the podcast every Friday. Also I like your reading of the higher summit forecasts at the beginning of the podcast. I think the timing is perfect for us weekend warriors who want to head out to the mountains and are looking for a podcast to get us in the mood on the drive there. Don’t ever stop recording and I will keep listening.

Invaluable resource for the the White Mountains hiking community
I’m relatively new to hiking (starting my 3rd season) & this is my first hiking The Whites. This podcast is a wealth of information on getting me up to speed on the region and community. Covering everything from history, terms and lists background, hiker safety & etiquette, community happenings, & even weather this is a must listen if you hike in, or are thinking of hiking in & around NH. A week into listening and already my knowledge & skills are better. I’m making better & safe decisions as my new goal is NOT to be a featured story.

    Fantastic!
This is THE PODCAST if you love the white mountains and hiking in the northeast in general. From conditions reports, to fascinating historical segments, to tips to get off the beaten path, Mike and Stomp cover it all. They found a great niche and we’re all very grateful because we love the mountains.

Great Show, relatable hosts, great guests!
Came across this podcast looking for good New England hiking coverage and stories. Goldmine here! Mike and Stomp do a great job keeping you entertained, informed and amused. Good trail stories, good SAR stories, and great pointers for hiking in the whites! Stomp, thanks for doing what you do, hero’s work. Mike, if nothing else, Go Fighting Indians!

    Best hiking podcast. Hands down.
So much better than backpacker radio. Maybe because I’m a NH local?? Hosts are intelligent, well-spoken and knowledgeable. I only recently discovered- I’ve listened to 15 episodes and am going back to listen to the back catalogue.

    Amazing podcast!!
As a local NH hiker I love this podcast! It’s a good listen and very informative. I highly recommend!
  • Tamaragall
    Absolutely love it!
The hosts are engaging and helpful on all things in the NH mountains. They talk about other search and rescues but keep the main focus on local information, tips, and guests. I look forward to each episode and learning something new. Keep them coming!!

    Insufferable
One of the cohosts, Stomp, is a whackjob COVID denier. He is on social media calling for Fauci to be put in an electric chair among other delusions. No wonder this bozo wont use his real name.

I’m loving this podcast and plowing through the episodes! I did my 48 in my mid 60’s and loved every minute- well mostly:) I did many solo including Owls Head out and back! My oldest daughter did about 20 with me andWe had a bit of a competition but she did end up finishing before me on Carrigain! I’ve stayed in all 8 huts now which was another goal of mine and I’ve completed 28 of the 52 with a view! It’s been an incredible experience and helped me through a tough divorce!Started a large group of women and we call ourselves the old baggers! We do a different hike and Hut stay every summer and have a blast! I am no longer the leader but I am the go to for plants and birds :-)Going to start working on my winter 48 and have two down 46 to go!Thank you for what you do! Oh I am an IPA girl!!

    Motivational and informative!
I especially love the banter and relationship you two have when you’re on the air. Your guests are always a treat, and I look forward to FriYAY so I can listen to that week’s show! Your support and love of the White Mountains is truly special and I hope you’ll keep finding topics to discuss, and people to learn from. Binge listener turned loyal listener. Thanks!

    Very cool, very cool podcast
If you like to hike and like to laugh, check these guys out! I was skeptical at a couple of guys from Mass talking about NH hiking, but they are knowledgeable and make it fun. Haven’t missed a show since day 1. Keep up the good work!

Just what every Incline Junkie needs
I’ve grown up here my whole life and this has to be the most authentic, real, funny, interesting, you name it podcast. Hiking is so much more than just the up and down, it’s the history, geography, stories, and relationships. The only ask I have is to make more episodes! Great content, keep up the good work fellas!
  • Hoser115
    Great content and relevant entertainment
Working the 115 so show is super relevant as we are now focused on NH and Maine having completed NY and VT. Also a runner so good to hear on events up that way. Entertaining and educational. Stop the occasional F bomb and other similar language which detracts from professionalism. It’s minimal but not necessary. Keep up the good work guys!
  • Uppy123
    So good!!!
Love Mike and Stomp, they have a great dynamic. A blend of everything hiking in one episode. Gear talk, hiking talk, interviews and of course SAR stories and reports. If you love hiking you love this podcast!
  • ech9295
    Great podcast!
I drive 3-4 hours to NH to hike & I love listening to the podcast on the ride up.
  • richierothman69
    Amazing show
I live part time in Lincoln NH and part time in the Philadelphia area. I have hiked the 48 4Ks and most of 52WAV and listening to Mike and Stomp places me mentally back on the trail when I’m not in state. I’ve also been quite interested in search and rescue and this podcast only fires me up more. The guests are great and the conversation in natural, real and highly informative. Great work guys. Hope to meet you both some day to say “thank you” in person.
  • aknight71
    You guys are great
I like the vibe of this show. Both of you have lots of experience in the Whites, yet the level of hiker snob is at a zero. We’re all on a learning continuum of how not to be stupid out there.
  • Bad custom reporting
    Great NH Hiking pod!
Love it. Keep up the great work!
