    Loving the Rework with ATJ!
Update: I stopped listening in the middle of podcast 129 “Pricing and philosophy with Gregory Daniel” to come here and tell you how much I love it. I’ve already been bowled over three times. I’m going back to finish the episode now. It is a must listen. I’ve previously enjoyed Allison’s lectures & classes through PPA. Getting to hear more of her personality and direct approach to business is a refreshing treat. Each episode of this podcast gets better and deeper into the hows and WHYs of business. This is invaluable as for portrait photographers, but every business owner can learn so much by listening.

    Rework for Real
The Rework with Allison Tyler Jones is one o my favorite podcasts for the following reasons: •She is a professional artist who has clearly leveled up her business and goes deep to share her experience - what works and what doesn’t work - in an effort to educate and elevate her industry. •She is thoughtful in her content and how she expresses what she needs to say. •The BUSINESS of photography and client SERVICE is really emphasized and elaborated upon. •Each episode focuses on a specific component of the Business of Photography & offers valuable & thoughtful information to apply to your own business. •Lessons to be learned and things to be considered with every episode. •Photography as a form of luxury art is emphasized. This podcast really does justice to image makers focused on raising the integrity of this industry, and the way they portray their service and offerings as portrait photographers. Thank you Allison Tyler Jones for your efforts and energy in educating Portrait Photographers! Your work and offerings are appreciated!

    Thrilled to have found her
This is one of the BEST podcasts I have ever listen to. It has directly impacted my business life. She is real, open, honest and confident and shares it all. Since we are usually a one person business, it’s is vital to need other people’s help. Alison has saved the day for me. I cannot thank her enough for her skill, thoughts, kindness and willingness to help others.

The best business of photography podcast
I am not addicted to these. I am religious about listening to it every single week, putting it on my todo list!!! Love-love-love how specific these are. Not just rambling “this is how I came into my business” with another personal story that feels touching but unrelated. Noooo!!! Specific steps to achieve success, specific words to use with clients, specific strategies. Taking notes, recording bits and pieces every week, listening to certain episodes over and over. Thank you so much, Allison!!!

    Simply amazing
The Rework Pod with Allison Tyler is an absolute gem! Every week the podcast provides me with the inspiration to keep pushing forward in my photography journey. Although I am nowhere near my goals of making it as a photographer, the information shared on this podcast is invaluable. I often reference to past episodes when I’m feeling down about my experiences in photography but I will not stop! Until I reach my goals of mastering the business side of photography Corey Matthews

    All business, no fluff!
I’ve been listening to this podcast from its inception. What I appreciate most is that Allison gets right down to business. There is no fluff, no attempt at stand-up comedy, no shrill giggling. The topics are singular, pointed, and directed. Thank you Allison and crew!

    Best ever!
Hands down my favorite podcast. Allison and her team bring so much value to every episode. I am so excited every time there’s a new one to listen to. I’ve listened to every episode and some twice! Can’t recommend it enough!

    Absolutely love this podcast!
I’ve listened to Allison’s podcast from the first episode and have appreciated the way she discusses subjects that are relevant and helpful for anyone trying to build and sustain a successful photography business. Many tips she shares can be applied to much more than just the photography business world as well! My husband is a psychologist and loves listening along with me, applying some of the techniques to his own practice. From setting boundaries, to valuing yourself, to helping navigate uncomfortable/difficult situations, to selling products, she covers it all. I’m so grateful for her willingness to share what she’s learned and elevate the photography world. Thank you ATJ!!
  • always something new to learn
    Pure Gold
These podcasts are pure gold, some times a Fort Knox bar, sometimes a nugget found in a stream, but always worth a listen if you are a portrait photographer. After 47 years as store front portrait photographer I have a pretty good feel for the truth and Allison always gives that. My suggestion is to begin at the beginning, take notes and implement. It’s the “real deal”!

    Great podcast - photo/small business
This is an excellent podcast with focused episodes, experienced host that’s easy to listen to, and fantastic guests. I appreciate that it doesn’t get into camera settings, tech releases, or a career photographer’s meandering backstory. The perfect podcast for photographers that are natural artists but could use guidance and support on the business side. A relief to discover some tough client interactions I’ve had are actually fairly common, especially once you’ve been in business a few years. If you’ve got the image-making part mostly handled and are ready to get your business act together, this is a great podcast for you. @jimcookimages

    Thank You Allison and Jessica
Allison, I’ve been meaning to write to you, to thank you for all you’ve been doing: I have listened to your four conversations with Jed Taufer, your Facebook live, and now your podcast…some episodes multiple times! I take notes and LOVE your business model (and your wonderful sense of humor!) I have downloaded your consultation form and have taken copious notes! I tell you all of this, because I’m 58 and would love to start a photography business when my children are grown. I am a homeschool mom of four, so that has left me with little time or energy to devote to photography. The good news is, my youngest is a tenth grader, so I can see light at the end of the tunnel. 😉 🤣 Your free education has meant so, so much to me! So, thank you from the bottom of my heart, and know that what you and Jessica are doing is making an impact!

Can’t Say Enough Good Things About Allison and This Podcast
Allison is a great photographer with great insight and talent. She shares needed advice and tells you like it is without all of the unwanted fluff. If you value wall art for your clients, look no further. Episode 12 with Tim Walden, ‘Marketing on Value vs. Price’ is so valuable. It spoke to me like no other photography podcast episode. Thanks so much.

    Great podcast!
I love your inclusion of businesses outside the photo industry. I hope you do an episode with your custom framer on your working relationship and systems creating a final product. Thank you for your many contributions as an educator.

Solid gold advice for IPS photographers
This podcast is so full of helpful tips for IPS photographers. I’ve completely “reworked” my consult calls, talking about the experience and pricing, and it’s giving me more confidence to own what I offer! I love that she tells it to you without fluff and is honest. Get a pen and paper handy because you’re going to want to take notes!!

    Allison is a genius
I can’t express enough how much Allison‘s information has helped me in my redesign of my studio. I’ve been a photographer for 20 years with a few breaks away from it. If I had done the things she recommends in the very beginning , I never would have taken a break! She is so generous with her info and all of the things that have made her successful. After implementing the system she uses, I now can articulate to potential clients exactly why we cost what we cost. It has been a game changer for our studio and I couldn’t be more thankful. I’ve listened to these episodes twice and I find something new every time. She’s also very funny and real, which I totally appreciate in this crazy industry.

AJT is a gift to the photography industry!!
Sometimes you’ll here things and think ya that works for you. ATJ has a way of explaining her photography business practices that make it seem achievable. She shares every uncomfortable and unsuccessful experience she has along her journey and why she has implemented all the processes she has learned to do today. She speaks with intention and fast! One of the few podcasts I can’t listen to on 2x! Many thanks for giving us so much of your time and energy this last year. Coming out of a pandemic your words have been an encouragement to keep going and changing.
