    This stuff is freakin amazing!
John, Vito, congratulations, your podcast is absolutely perfect. I love listening, and proving I am the smartest Mets fan in my section. Thanks for the grind, John, congrats on the baby. Just keep up the great work, we all appreciate what you guys do!

    Don’t stop doing this
Just shout out Don’t get burnt out I know the daily grind can burn you out doing anything but this is great there’s nothing like this even among those who officially cover the minors your the most in depth, also please continue going through the system level by level as opposed to shouting out the top performers first it’s easier to follow along as it’s not jumping around the minors
  • Runwif
    Prolific Podcast
Anytime I get to listen to Vito is time well spent. The other guy is quite poignant as well.

    Smart minds
These 2 know everything when it comes to the metropolitans. As someone who got to experience a ton of MiLB in college, the Binghamton Mets were a great time. I have no doubt these 2 will keep fans optimistic on what’s on the horizon. At the moment this team is in shambles but can always be optimistic about the future orange and blue.

    Awesome
Very fun podcast—always great facts with an upbeat, fun style. Good history lesson! Great start to my day! Keep up the great work Josh! Bring Josh Back!! A shame this ended, has to be something weird going on.

    Mets in the Morning RIP
Well MLB continues to do things to drive fans away. How else to explain the sudden disappearance without the courtesy of notice, I Mets in the Morning with Josh. I’ve had others have noted was grateful that Josh is back and talking about the Mets. And then suddenly he’s not. Ironically if I’m recalling right, the last episode was during his vacation in Europe, where he got up in the middle of the night and did other dedicated things so we would have A podcast to listen to. Please explain what happened at minimum and better yet please bring it back five stars all the way best Mets podcast ever
  • WiscoMetsFan
Why do the Mets hate Josh so much?
How many times does this guy need to have his dignity trampled on by the Mets? I’ve enjoyed Josh’s style in various iterations, and there just must be something about him that the Mets don’t like. He has stood by the team and its fans during some dark times, and helped us get through it with humility, grace, and a healthy dose of humor and pop-culture references (well, dad-culture references maybe). Anyway, for those who grew up with the 80s Mets, Josh is like an old friend you can trade cards with and laugh about the “old days”. Keep your head up, Josh. Some of us love you.

    The end
The last episode I receive was May 11 since then I haven’t seen anymore is it canceled now? I really like this podcast but is it gone?

Like chatting with a best friend
Josh Lewin has been a favorite ever since he and Howie called the Mets games on the WFAN days. The amount of laughing and pure joy I got from listening to games (I moved to the west coast, so I mostly have to listen)… it truly became a ritual. (He’d even bring up tweets the fans would send to the booth during games,.. it was amazing!). When the Daily Mets Podcast popped up after Josh left, all felt right in the world. Now the Mets in the Morning is as essential as coffee. Thank you for all the time and effort- I NEVER write reviews of things, but this was one thing I had to come on and say in case you don’t hear often enough how much we love your work, insight, and sense of humor. I mean…. To interrupt Italy to give us these big game recaps!!! (Your wife also deserves kudos!). Enjoy your trip and hopefully the Mets will win or lose in less dramatic form until your back in the states haha. :) -Mike Fusco

    Best part of my morning!!!
Baseball is woven into the Fabric of my life. Josh you make the fabric a lot nicer each morning. Miss you on the weekends. Loved the sat bonus no hitter episode!! Keep up the good work. Thanks

Welcome back to New York Josh !
Great podcast jam packed with fun and interesting factoids as only the great Josh Lewin could covey. Wonderful job if encapsulating each game and breaking down the current state of affairs all things Mets. In all a fun listen from an old friend.. Looking forward to many more podcasts from a man who knows how to raise the apple and enthusiasm of every Mets fan!
  • Pauleetoe
Good recaps & analysis for Mets fans
Still miss hearing Josh in booth with Howie…nice to have his recaps and analysis here.
  • Dave from Indiana
Trying to be funny but unfortunately not
Liked Josh on Mets play by play, he has some good analysis, but he’s trying to make jokes, or be cute on this podcast - he’s not. Been Mets fan for 40+ years. He should stick to analysis, clips of Mets players and Buck, not making jokes about his house band (music intro). We can get a comedy podcast For that. (“Pitchers putting up donuts”- you get it, nudge nudge wink wink) You can do a nice job Josh, you’re likeable drop the trying to make jokes. We are cheering for you. Good audio cuts on Mets recap, good rundown on game, unique podcast potential.

    A podcast made for me
    1. I love the Mets. 2. I love Josh Lewin’s broadcasting, personality, metaphors, and way with words. 3. I love podcasts. 4. I love Dad jokes! This podcast was tailor-made for me. I haven’t missed a single episode.
  • Hgjfgyb
A must listen for Mets Fans
Love the way Josh intersperses (dated) pop culture references with all things Mets. The best way to start the day!
  • Josh Bunsis
    Old news
The pod should be renamed Mets the night before I listened today for Jake news, and not a word as the pod was taped early last night. Unacceptable The April 1 story on Sid Finch was uninteresting and lame. The Davis interview was on SNY last night No insight, no updates on the roster, nothing interesting Please do better
  • steph anderson7
    Josh Lewin is so corny
But I love him for it and the interviews. His dad jokes make me smile
  • bassisland
    The best!
Josh Lewin is, for this fan, pure brilliance — funny, smart, and a total joy to have back in the podcast world. If you’re a Mets fan, you’ll be in heaven… If you’re a pop-culture fan to boot, you will be ecstatic. Welcome back, JL!
  • annadicemay
    Terrific podcast
I love this podcast. Josh does a great job summing up the games and latest happenings in the Mets world. He’s funny, and even the theme song (which I found mildly annoying at first) has grown on me to the point that I sing along with it every time I listen. Keep up the good work, Josh!
  • Brian from Bayside
    Josh is a gem
This daily podcast is chicken soup for Met fans. His ability to put things in perspective both statistically and historically is a wonder. It makes me long for Josh back in the Mets broadcast booth but at the very least to hear him all winter, too. Josh: you have a Mets soul with a silver tongue. You are one of us. Keep it up.
  • jmy9595
    Great show, poor timing
Let me say thatI love the show, it gives me the Josh flew in continent I’ve been missing since he stopped appearing on Mets broadcasts. Nothing against Wayne Randazzo but he just can’t drop in the pop culture references the way Josh can to keep things lively. The 2021 Mets have had a really crazy season with unprecedented injuries and somehow they managed to stay in first place for three months. Unfortunately that went right by the boards just about the time that this podcast started so that’s been a case of poor timing that Josh missed the relatively good times. Still he manages to keep a lively informative podcast going with a quick turnaround schedule. It’s my podcast for shaving and getting out the door or a quick commute. It does the job and I hope it’s back next year.
  • DannyBoyGreen
    An every day must listen
I love this podcast. It’s the first thing I listen to every day. The info is always solid, and Josh always sprinkles in awesome pop culture references. Love that he’s a Rochester native too!
  • PopCulturePros
    Great work!
Really enjoy listening to this one - win or lose, Josh does a great job! Now if only he would make a guest appearance on our show - The Put it in the Books Show! Keep up the great work!
  • Brian8675309
    Best Mets Podcast out there!
This is a must-listen for any serious Mets fan. Josh Lewin uses the same wit and humor - which we all came to know and love when he was calling Mets games for the radio - to deliver daily (Mon-Fri) content that you can’t get anywhere else.
  • MaxODonnal
    The best
Josh is easily the most entertaining & knowledgable of the many Mets podcasts. I’d say I wish it was longer, which WOULD be great, but I can’t wait to get to the house band intros at the end!
  • b@n@n@s foster
    Simply the best
Josh Lewin does a great job, as always. Highly recommended. LGM!

    Josh is BACK!
With just the right tone for your pre-coffee morning routine, Josh guides you through what you may have missed or can't beleive you saw with a soothing recap that will (dare I say this?) make you Laugh Out Loud once or twice in each 20 minute serving. Or at least Chuckle Out Loud... It's the perfect way to relive what you can't believe you saw last night. Or to help you absorb what you saw or heard. It is the audio essence of the very weird predicament of lifelong Mets fandom, in easy to swallow bites. I know it must have taken some delicate maneuvering with Mets management to get this off the ground, so thank you Josh for bringing back all the things we missed from The Daily Mets Podcast...well everything except that awesome theme song.
  • DLHAYDEN6
A Must Listen for Mets fans

    Sweet Mets Music
I really love this podcast, Josh voice is music to my ears. He is just so smooth with his delivery and I really miss him in the booth next to Gary. I hope to see him back soon. But Josh does all the little things well. I love the background music he plays as he goes through the game from the night before. I hope to listen to this podcast well in the future.
  • eRobin846
    Terrific recap of Mets games
Josh has this down to a science. The episodes are about 20 minutes long, which is perfect, but he packs a ton of info and entertainment into them. I can even listen the day after a loss. I don’t miss this show.
  • Octavarium93
    The best Mets podcast
This is my absolute favorite Mets podcast, and here’s why. I’m 28 years old and I’ve been a devoted Mets fan since my sophomore year in high school in 2009. I didn’t grow up playing little league, watching games with my father or any of that. I learned the rules of baseball from the University of Gary, Keith and Ron. So the reason Josh’s podcast is my favorite is because it’s the perfect mix of casual and factual. The other Mets podcasts are great. But sometimes I feel like they’re throwing too much facts and numbers and words that I’m too embarrassed to admit that after all this time I still don’t know the meaning of. Josh’s podcast feels like a really cool uncle hanging out with you and talking to you about your favorite team. If he ever did listener call-in’s, I’d be the first in line. Not only that, this podcast lasts exactly the same amount of time it takes me to get to work. Thank you for your podcast. It’s the absolute best.
  • Jes Metsfan
    Great Mets coverage!
Just what I needed for my morning jog or commute - an insightful, funny, but concise recap of the Mets game and latest news. Thank you!
  • rospars
    Glorious
I’m not sure who was responsible for bringing Josh back to the Mets, but they should be commended because he is encyclopedic in his knowledge, complete in his descriptions, and surprising and delightful along the way. I’m not sure who was responsible for canceling the old Daily Mets Podcast that Josh Lewin hosted and/or otherwise causing Josh’s departure from the Mets scene, but they should go down to the World Fair Marina in Queens, walk out into Flushing Bay, and keep going out into the East River. I’m not sure who was responsible for the music for the Daily Mets Podcast back in 2018, but it was as much of a daily vitamin as the show, and my wife and I can still sing it to each other (or who’s responsible for the music for the new show, which I’ve already while doing dishes or laundry or whatever sung to her multiple times out of nowhere while it’s playing in my ear). But I presume the person most responsible for the routine joy that Josh Lewin brings is Josh Lewin. So thank you, Josh.
  • martintodayagain
    Funny and educational
Josh Lewin is bright, witty, and a treasure of baseball knowledge. His show manages to add interesting twists on the most recent Met game, so that you find something out even if you saw the whole game. Who else would think to create a double play combo based on uniform numbers? (8+12=20). And who knew that so many obscure former Mets are such good musicians?
  • Deb4117
    Mets In the Morning.
So happy to hear Josh Lewin talking Mets again. He is awesome!!!!!

    Infotainment!
Josh and Howie were fantastic on the radio together, so it's great to hear him talking about the Mets again. Provides a great recap of the games plus adds in his classic wit and obscure Seinfeld references. Welcome back Josh!

    Love it!!!
Great show! I enjoyed hearing Josh Lewis on WOR with Howie and Wayne. Hope you can call a few Mets games in San Diego next year!
