So many of the people in our bubble hear words that support their position and then spew them back out their mouth, skipping their brain. I first started listening to this podcast in my sophomore year of high school and I am now a freshman in college (devastating time for that I know). I am the most politically aware out of my friends who are largely centrist, median voters so this podcast is necessary to keep me sane each week. As a disabled and unemployed college student I am unfortunately trapped for the foreseeable future as a Wednesday (and maybe Friday) weenie, however I one day hope to ascend to a Sunday supremacist (or whatever they’ll be called once you’re releasing two episodes a week). I am extremely excited for more frequent episodes as in this very horrible time to exist, this podcast is often the highlight of my week and I look forward to every episode. These two cis white boys do a spectacular job of setting themselves apart from the rest by providing amazing takes, high quality political analysis, and funny jokes to help lessen the unrelenting blows to sanity that could send anyone running away from politics all together.

To start off my review, I of course condemn Hamas and ALL forms of political violence. This has become my go-to podcast when I stress clean my apartment every Monday. I found HITO on Tiktok last summer and it quickly became my favourite political podcast. It gives me jumping off points to do more reading into the covered topics, rather than feeling overwhelmed by our current chaotic state that is constantly pumping out news. I gave up one overpriced coffee a month in order to afford being a Sunday Supremacist and it is well worth it to hear about news sooner! I also just like being part of Patreon because it feels nice being part of a fun secret club (HITO University!) in the desolation that is my first year post-college. Apologies for not reviewing sooner, usually I’m scrubbing the bathtub or something when an episode ends and I honestly just forget.

Let's start off by saying that I condemn Hamas, all acts of political violence, and those not yet spreading the Good Word of HITO. As a leftist white boy from a HITO award-winning southern state who doesn’t shut up about politics, I’ve responded to “you should make a podcast” with a recommendation to the only two white boys allowed to have podcast equipment. I first found you guys a few years ago, but in the last year and a half have tuned in as often as I could for your coverage of the election and Gaza. HITO got me through interning in a democratic congressional office, and my degree from HITO university helped me cohesively identify exactly what I did and did NOT like about the office’s handling of Gaza. I also have recently evangelized my girlfriend, who will be sitting next to me listening (hi Jess). She has, in turn, supported my ascent to Sunday Supremacy, and I am honored to support my non-parasocially favorite two midwestern white boys. I’m fortunate to live and go to graduate school in MA, but with the kidnapping of students off the street by ICE it is more evident day after day how much work there is to do at home, nationwide, and worldwide. Once I graduate and enter the workforce, I hope to contribute to a brighter future with my two favorite white boys in my ears.

I actually found HITO from a stitch on TikTok where Jermey was getting cancled for saying that we vote for harm reduction and I thought man, this white boy from mid Michigan has a point. HITO has great takes, is the #1 geo political podcast, and I love listening to it while I drive over destroyed wetlands on my way to work in my very very red state of Florida. I am from the White liberal bubble city of Seattle, and despite legacy media portraying it as a liberal safe haven, it still has the swath of neoliberal problems and the communities I am surrounded by have fallen for most talking points to the point of becoming cringe uninvolved “centrists”. I just started listening to this podcast that @rark.muffalo recommended and I’m already hooked. I can’t stand traditional news because it’s so boring but these two make it super entertaining. Seriously not a boring moment, highly recommend

When I heard the boys were coming to Farmington Hills, I knew I had to finally shed my shackles as a Wednesday Weenie, and meet my two best friends in a non parasocial way. And who better to have as non parasocial best friends than Jeremy and Gage! These two consistently deliver insightful commentary on current events, tackling everything from executive orders and supreme court decisions to gay nutcrackers and Tim Walz’s taco toppings - and really, whose to say which of those categories is more important? The boys keep the news light enough to be enjoyable despite the horrors we live through, and their undeniable chemistry makes every episode an absolute banger. If my people were being genocided I may very well do the same and I don’t know what it’s like to be in that position. Also I do not condemn political violence. The state and the powerful only understand two things, money and violence. No revolution has ever been won peacefully. I am also a proud member of the SRA. The working class must be armed. This is my favorite podcast ever! Jeremy and Gage’s political analysis and commentary is SO smart and funny that I can’t recommend this podcast ENOUGH to anyone who will listen to me. I recently upgraded to Sunday supremacist status and tuning in to the boyz makes my Sunday scaries that much more tolerable. I find myself cackling at several+ points in each episode every week, and it’s truly become one of my favorite parts of the week. After finishing an episode, I automatically and genuinely do a deep sigh of relief because of how much less crazy and gaslit I feel by what is coming out from the new trump regime, and it’s all because of Jeremy and gage. Being born in America, my family has fought in immigration court for around 13 years to become naturalized and it’s crazy to think people are being deported for wanting to immigrate to country filled with opportunities. Since he’s back at the White House and there’s a chance I might get deported I think it’s time to write a review. As a DACA recipient it’s refreshing to see that you guys haven’t turned against immigrants like most Democrats and some so called “progressive networks” like TYT have. Like many Gen Z, I discovered these handsome white allies on TikTok (luckily it hasn’t been banned yet), and I decided to give them a try. I don’t regret it at all.
