    Literally hilarious.
The theme song alone earns five stars. The rest is gravy. I’m addicted. Update: enough with these long breaks. Either have a weekly show or don’t.

    Better hosts, better podcast!
I just wanted Jim and Greg to know I’m enjoying this podcast more with them as hosts. Although Rob and Alan offered some insights about the Parks and Recreation TV show (which I will refer to herein as “the series”), their discussion deviated from the series too much. What I really wanted and expected from this podcast was a show like the wildly successful and much loved “The Office Ladies,” (about that series adapted by the brilliant Greg Daniels, co-creator of Parks and Rec) with a full recap, intimate behind the scenes details, and the hosts’ remembrances about the series episode being featured, as well as stories about the cast and others involved in the making of the episode. Those of us who absolutely love the series are curious, and maybe a little obsessed, about all aspects of it. Consequently, the conversations with the first hosts were very unsatisfying to me, so I couldn’t listen to more than a couple episodes of the podcast before losing interest. I also found their frenetic style difficult to enjoy. I just started listening to the show again and I’m finding these new hosts are warm and funny and more to my liking! I look forward to going back and listening to all of their podcast episodes. I saw something on the Internet that said they will not be returning in the new season, which was disappointing to learn. I hope that’s not true, but if it is, I hope the new hosts bring the same quality to the podcast.

    Please come back!!!
Absolutely love this podcast! I’m rewatching parks because I desperately need something heartwarming and funny to go through this current rough patch in grad school. This podcast after jim and greg took over is such a delightful treat! Please come back! We need more episodes!!!!

A fun companion to a great series
Both sets of hosts have had their strengths, but the show remains enjoyable throughout. Rob Lowe’s deep knowledge of the entertainment industry paired well with Alan Yang’s first hand knowledge of the writing process, while Jim O’Heir’s passion and love of the series and that time of his life compliments Greg Levene’s anal retentiveness. Overall, a great way to help a diehard fan rationalize rewatching this series for the 500th time.

    Love the guest interviews!
Love the format so much since Jim and Greg took over. Just keeps getting better and better. The more consistent guest interviews are amazing and I hope you keep it going until you’ve gone through everyone!

    Patton Oswalt
Patton Oswalt was a delight!!! What a fun episode. If you added him as a third host I wouldn’t be upset. Love the podcast. You two need to go back to the first few seasons that you didn’t get to do!

    Awesome show
Great show I love listening to this podcast as I rewatch the show. Listening to Rob make me think it was as fun to make as it is to watch.

    Redo
Great with Greg and Jim. Is it possible they could redo the earlier episodes with their take and format? That would make it an automatic 5 stars for me.

Jerry Larry Gary is the best
Looooove this! Forever a Parks fan & the chemistry between Jim and Greg is great for this. Love Robe Lowe of course, but these two hosts are really working well together. Thanks for a great podcast!

    Fun listen
Parks and Recs is one of the funniest, nicest shows - a comfort show for me in a turbulent world. I like the banter between Jim and Greg, and the behind-the-scenes look into the writers’ room and filming. The guests they’ve had have been fun as well. Very relaxing, and something to add to one of my top TV shows.

    Make Alison Becker a cohost
She’s so charismatic and funny. She would be a great addition to this all-male team.

    Best Podcast
Parks and Rec is one of my favorite shows of all time so it stands to reason the podcast would also be the greatest. Much like the show itself, the early episodes are good and are remembered fondly but they have gotten even better as time has gone on. Jim O’Hare is a national treasure and Pierre is a brilliant and witty writer. If you love the show, you’ll love the podcast.

    Joy
Very few things bring Joy to my heart like comedy, and these gentlemen along with the whole SNL have brought me joy my whole life. Thank you for bringing light into the world instead of darkness.

Looking forward to this podcast again
It was a little rough at first with the new hosts, but now I’m really enjoying it. It’s great to hear their insights on episodes and listen to them talk to some of their guest stars. Above all. I love that they love the show.
  • Dawn3355
    Happy this is back
Just writing to let Jim know that he was discussed by the three guys that do the Michael Scott podcast and they all think Jerry is their favorite character on Parks!!! I can’t say I would argue that and I hope this makes it to Jim O’ Heir ❤️

    Hilarious and Wonderful!
I love everything about Parks and Rec. I rewatch the series about once a year. It’s my favorite show of all time. This podcast is so much fun because I get to hear all kinds of fun stories, I always rewatch the episode before listening to the podcast so that’s a bonus, and I get to listen to the silliness between the hosts and guests and it almost feels like I’m back in Pawnee. This podcast always makes me happy, no matter what episode they’re on. 💜

Literally one of my favorite podcasts
I love everything about this podcast. From the stories about the writer’s room, the incredible bombs that Rob drops about his career (the Nip/Tuck thing!), the interviews with the Casting, Costume, Set, and other writers — it’s all gold. Parks and Rec was a stone cold favorite of mine when it was airing and it continues to be a show that I rewatch for comfort, laughter, inspiration, and joy. Hearing the inside stories about making it have increased my love for the show tenfold. Thank you, Team CoCo, Producers Greg Levine, Rob Schulte, Coordinating Producer Lisa (sorry I can’t remember your last name), and Alan Yang and Rob Lowe! Update: Jim O’Heir and Greg Levine are doing fantastic!
  • funafuti325
    Longer episodes please :)
Yay for the podcast returning. Is there a rule they have to keep it under an hour or something? I loved that they had Jon Glaser on today but, when they do an interview, they rush through the rest of the episode. In general, rather then go through in chunks, I wish they’d go scene by scene and leave time to call out all the great writing/lines/jokes in each scene. We are listening because we are fans! No need to rush through.
  • Magoo9
    Great show!
I miss the original hosts but Jim is great. The other host can seem rushed and a bit rude sometimes. But great show!
  • ckycgkflugh
    AMAZING!!!!
I LITERALLY love this podcast and parks and rec SO MUCH

    LOVE!
I absolutely love parks and rec. Thank you for doing the podcast. I love revisiting these episodes!
  • Grooling
Great Show Greg Levine is not good
I love Jim but the things that bother me about Greg is the always seems to be rushing everything. Kind of stern when Jim goes on a tangent to get him back on track. I’d rather Jim and a fan do the podcast. While I know they joke back and forth, I feel Jim is good at it Greg seems serious. I can’t think of anything funny he’s said. I love Parks. But Greg is unbearable.

    Glad you’re back.
    Great show. Missed you.

    My Absolute Favorite
I’ve been a listener since the podcast initially aired and have been an avid fan the entire run! The pod is a phenomenal recap of one of the greatest comedies in television history, bringing in behind-the-scenes/from the writers room anecdotes and guest stars that add even more richness to the show. The pause was respectful of the craft and industry and I’m thrilled they’re back!
  • pka4lif
    Love this show!
Greg & Jim are amazing! Greg talks about the show as if he were another fan (who happened to be in the writing room and have all these great behinds the scenes stories!) and Jim is the cast member who loved being on the show! Every episode is a joy if you’re a fan! Glad to have you back!
  • Cbloodogood
    Welcome Back!
While I was bummed about the pause, the reason to do so was totally justified and I supported it, as doing so speaks to the love and respect everyone involved here has for their craft and industry. So, I’m deliriously happy to see this pick back up! Parks is so beloved, and getting to relive episodes through the eyes of those who helped make it is so special and fun. If I had one ask, it would be for more cast and crew guests. And if this episode is any indication, might happen? Hope so! Can’t wait for more!

    Love Greg…but not enjoying Jim
I’ve been listening to this podcast when it originated with Rob Lowe. Loved it! When they changed to the new hosts, I was initially excited about it but over the course of the episodes Jim has only a few jokes (he says EVERY WEEK) and comes across as a pretentious pompous celebrity. Did not expect that at all. Maybe he’s joking with Greg but he comes across as mean and definitely not enjoyable. Either change hosts or tell Jim he is NOT FUNNY being a jerk

    Love this, love the show!
It’s great listening to all the behind the scenes stories episode by episode— though I do recommend that a new listener finish watching the show if they haven’t already before starting the podcast ! I’m only half way through the existing episodes, but I’m excited to catch up and get to hear NEW content (the proposal episode especially!)

    Great theme song!
Fun podcast with a hilarious theme song. So fitting to the series!

    Light and Fun!
I loved Rob and Alan AND I love Greg and Jim! This podcast has been delightful to listen to while I’m up in the wee hours feeding my newborn baby! I love the insight from the guests and I love revisiting each episode with Jim and Greg’s added nuggets. I’m a huge fan.
  • stephnicknamebs
    So fun
I love these guys. I love this podcast. I always look forward to the episode breakdowns, behind the scenes stories, and banter between the hosts. They’re currently on hiatus because of the writers strike, which makes me a little sad, but also adds to my respect for them. I love the solidarity for their friends in the industry. Miss you guys. Can’t wait till you’re back ❤️

    Rob and Greg
I think this podcast would be more enjoyable with Rob and Greg as hosts. It’s hard to listen through with the any of the other hosts.

    These negative reviews
These negative reviews here are hilarious to me! They’re not even constructive! These guys have no obligation to do this podcast….I have enjoyed this podcast and appreciate you guys for taking the time to make it! I like that there have been more BTS facts lately.

Pass if you want to continue to still like parks
Tried so hard to get past the first few episodes and even skipped to season 3 thinking maybe the hosts would find their rhythm but it unfortunately never happened. There is hardly any actual talk about the episode or fun nuggets about outtakes, deleted scenes, etc. and lots of talk about how certain jokes wouldn’t be “appropriate” in todays climate. Which is interesting considering the show stills runs and continues to gain new fans so…. All Rob does is name drop and remind us that he used to be important in Hollywood and Allan just agrees with everything he says, despite how irrelevant it is to the actual show 🥲 This podcast had so much potential but instead was a huge flop. I so appreciate the way Jenna and Angela host their “office ladies” podcast and the information about the actual show they speak on. Maybe someone else will try again because a quality parks podcast is needed!
