    Best watch content!
If you started with Hodinkee, and were looking for more then you’ve come to the right place. Just a little deeper, just a little more nerdy. Exactly what I was looking for

    Educational and entertaining
I miss the early episodes of Eric’s phone constantly beeping and persistent internet issues for the curmudgeon. But the content stays hitting.

One of the best watch podcasts out there!
I just stumbled upon this podcast recently and I have to say it is one of the best one out there right now in my opinion. The content is always super engaging, all of the commentary and takes are really insightful and down to earth. I love the casual format. All of the personalities are extremely knowledgeable and have their own distinct approaches and opinions about the watch market. It creates a very nice back and forth. Glad I came across it.

    SUPERB podcast!!
Quick apology to the Horology Homies for not leaving a review sooner! I’m a wife of a watch fanatic, and I’ve never been too interested in my husband’s passion UNTIL he stumbled upon vintage watches and Eric Wind. And now, I am also hooked on all things watches, new and vintage (but mostly vintage). The podcast is fantastic - down to earth and approachable yet detailed and so informative on luxury watches. Knowing Eric and Charlie Dunne personally, I can picture them in their gorgeous Palm Beach setting while chatting with Gabriel and Tony. I’m always driving while listening, trying not to wreck as I google images of reference numbers so I can see which watches are being discussed. Thank goodness I drive a Tesla which can self-drive while I break the law and do my research! Significant Watches is a must-add to your podcast list! The passion for watches shines through in the discussions, and I feel like a fly on the wall eavesdropping on four great friends sharing their wealth of knowledge and love for watches. I have learned so much and eagerly await new discussions each month! Thank you for doing this podcast and keep up the great work!!

Really love the podcast. Show always has a nice pace, and the passion and the knowledge of the four horological homies shines through on every episode. I always learn something new when I listen to this podcast.

    Love this podcast!
I’ve been listening to several episodes over the last couple of days. I love the very insightful and candid discussions you normally won’t get listening to other watch podcasts. Keep up the good work!

The watch podcast to pick if you could pick only one
Let’s be honest, most other podcasts focused on watch collecting are led by fellow watch enthusiasts and/or members of the watch collecting media. There is certainly some good content out there, and I listen to many of those other podcasts regularly; however, Significant Watches stands above the rest with its fascinating stories and discussion made possible only by the unique perspectives offered by the industry experience and behind-the-scenes insights of the likes of Eric, Charlie, Gabe, and Tony. This is why Significant Watches attracts listeners of the highest net worth.

    Great for Watch Afficianados
Since 2021, I’ve been listening to every single episode and always look forward to the next episodes. Lots of great discussions on various vintage watches, different genres and manufacturers of watches, auction results, and fashion trends. Highly recommended.

The best team in the game
The whole Significant Watches crew is A1 in terms of knowledge and feel for the market. Eric is one of the most prominent vintage experts in the world. Love their podcasts and my only wish was that we got more episodes!! Thanks for the hard work!

    And More
Uncle Bob says, it’s fun for the whole family (even those in Florida)! What a better bonding moment than to listen and then discuss the views of a well balanced and thoughtful team of experts. You can hear the detail and the big picture of this emerging asset class including the roles and challenges of retail and secondary markets. You will hear opinion on relationships to broader collector trends as well as regional market differences. But remember, buy what you love - and buy condition.

The Gold Standard for Class Rate Watch Discussion
From discussing what drives design to current market moods, Eric, Gabe, Charlie, and Tony fill the session with no-nonsense information that’s accessible to collectors and enthusiasts of all levels. Other podcasts try to pad and fluff their content; this one provides an honest take, lauding positive industry and hobby activity where deserved and panning questionable moves when warranted. It’s easy to tune in to any episode and even easier to keep coming back.

    Witty watch whisperers
This merry band of watch brothers never fails to deliver valuable insight and intrigue for vintage watch collectors and casual observers alike. Future episode idea - discover and discuss the vintage watch Easter Egg in the lyrics of Birdhouse In Your Soul, by They Might Be Giants.

Love the show but miss Eric's text notifications
One of my favorite watch podcasts! The co-hosts are knowledgeable and provide unique insights into the watch market. The interpersonal dynamics make the podcast very enjoyable to binge. Unlike other reviews, I do greatly miss hearing Eric's text notifications. When I hear the dings on the podcast, I imagine it is me texting Eric and Charlie on a watch I saw on Windvintage.com Love you guys!

    Best watch podcasts ever. 😅😅😅
I am subscribed to a few podcasts about watches and watch collecting in general, but Significant Watch is the podcast I am most excited about listening when it’s available. It has lots of insights into the watch market, especially about the auctions and the vintage parts of the market. It is very educational and entertaining at the same time for the novice as well as seasoned watch enthusiasts. Highly recommended. 🙂

Eric and Charlie need your help!
There’s a rumor going around that Eric and Charlie are going to have to start a….paywall let’s call it…. if people don’t start supporting this podcast by leaving good reviews of this amazing, totally free watch podcast. No one on this entire planet wants to see those two posing seductively wearing nothing but a tastefully chosen vintage wristwatch, so everyone, please leave good reviews ASAP!

    Just the absolute truth
The world of watches is filled with charlatans and it is hard to find a single, let alone a group, of honest guys. These guys are the real deal. Knowledgeable, smart, articulate and not a group that can be swayed by anyone. Their agenda is simple- I think- to educate and entertain! At the same time it is a joy to listen to them. Best of luck to getting to number one! Episode 40. Congratulations! You guys are the real deal. Knowledgeable, articulate and not afraid to tell it as it should be told. I learn something new on every episode. A must listen for any watch collector or anyone thinking of purchasing a watch. I have been badly burned on the past and Eric taught me so much and reinvigorated my enthusiasm for collecting. Keep the episodes coming. Douglas A You guys should go the subscription route. Why are you giving away valuable information for free? As an example- suppose you charge 50 dollars a month for access to the podcast. Someone might say that is crazy. I would say this is a bargain. Just think if you just learn one thing - don’t have your watch polished that can be worth thousand of dollars right there and your subscription has more than paid for itself. This is but one of the many things I have learned listening to the collective wisdom of the group. People don’t value free things - charge and they shall come!
  • Bugsy…
    Significant Podcast
Entertaining insight from experienced industry veterans who enjoy the topics discussed. A wealth of knowledge being shared on every episode. A must listen podcast for watch nerds and novices.

Watch talk from some of the best!
Always enjoy getting up to speed with what’s going on with watches, especially from this crew! There’s veteran, expert, and renowned watch dealer Eric Wind along with his protégé, Charlie Dunne, who is one of the most-knowledgeable and passionate watch lovers out there (and the nicest guy too!). Of course they have the best writer in the game keeping everyone in check, Hodinkee’s esteemed Tony Traina. And rounding out the group is Gabe - a serious collector with a wealth of experience always giving his honest opinion. Overall an excellent listen that doesn’t hold back, makes you smarter about watches - and will make you laugh!

    Significant cuffs
Still waiting for an answer to the big question. Eric Wind, tell us the truth, is it the same shirt every time or do you have a rotation of white cuffed dress shirts??
  • TaigaBalm
Love the detailed stories and macro lens on the market
Best watch podcast out there. Truly a suicide squad - Eric the juggernaut of vintage, Tony the Deadpool of hodinkee, Gabe the horological hoodlum and Charlie the most sarcastic bastard on a watch podcast. I enjoy every episode. Also curious to know your weekly favorites to buy on Windvintage.

Dive Deep into the world of watch collecting
If “inside baseball” isn’t deep enough for you, then this is the podcast you need in your life. I’ve always been interested in watches, but the last year, I have explored a lot more than I ever thought possible, and these guys played a big part. While YouTube is great for learning about many things (and Eric Wind has many great videos…) this podcast is a great conversation about the inner workings of the watch world. Just some very knowledagble people going deep on vintage trends, auctions (scarier than I thought….) and the business and market of watches. There’s so much to know and this is the place I tune in to regularly. They bring some light and transparency to the often opaque world of watches. Thanks guys, looking forward to more!
  • jkgza
    Love this podcast
These guys are the best. A great mix of perspectives from some of the most knowledgeable watch industry veterans out there. And without any hype or bulls**t. Yes yes, there was a time not that long ago that it sounded like they were recording it with a *vintage* dictaphone to go with the vintage watch content. But they’ve come a long way since then, and it is now quite rare for Eric’s phone alerts to be included in the final cut. Keep up the good work guys.

    Guilty as charged
Eric, Charlie and Tony, After listening to your latest podcast this morning and your humorous jabs at all of your avid listeners who consistently fail to write a review, I am here to admit I am guilty as charged. Sarcasm can be a good reminder of the truth. Thanks for the laughs this morning. As the old saying goes, “put up or shut up”…I am here to say that your podcast is one of a select few that I consistently listen to and walk away from feeling enriched. If I could summarize my listening experience in short checklist I would do so as follows: 1. Insightful = Check 2. Humorous = Check 3. Educational = Check 4. Enriching = Check Truly great work gentlemen and looking forward to the next episode. Max

    Top Spot
Significant Watches has now taken over the top spot in my podcast library. The horological homies consistently drop knowledge and there hasn’t been an episode where I’m not: 1. Educated 2. In the know 3. Entertained by incredible stories from the watch world. Keep it up gents!
  • Rwb2187
For the sake of Charlie and his Horological Hunnies!
If you only listen to two watch podcasts, make sure this is one. Between the crew you have all the auction coverage and relevant historical deep dives to round it out. Great vibes that feels like your at the bar sharing a round.

The most engaging and informative podcast out there
I’m not only a listener, but a proud client as well. I love the banter of this podcast. These guys like to go real deep into the issues. I also like that they have a sense of humor. I subscribe to many watch Podcasts, but this one is the most informative and engaging. I highly recommend this. I just have one question: do we still get a free strap with this review? 😏
  • Sckrapps
    My favorite watch podcast
I’m just a blue jeans, t-shirt, and Breguet kind of guy. If you’re like me, you’re always searching for high quality watch content, and the gents at “Significant Watches” never disappoint. Noted Breguet aficionado Charlie Dunne brings the love, the “Connecticut Curmudgeon” Gabe brings the truth, Gentleman dealer Eric Wind brings the knowledge, and Tony Traina brings the sweet dulcet tones emceeing the show (in all seriousness Tony, the writer formerly behind Reacapement, has become an important voice and influence at Hodinkee). Together these horological homies are a vital listen for bringing knowledge of vintage watches and their marketplace to the broader public. Their honest discussions are a refreshing and vital antidote to the unalloyed boosterism that often plagues other watch media. This show is a must listen every time a new episode drops.
