FjjujsvggzLuigiI’ve been listening since literally episode 1. But the hot take that Luigi is guilty, and using the US state run media’s reporting it’s not giving.

TheRevLenOrgInformative and AmusingWithout reading further than the “What do you get” on their introduction, It could be best described that what you get is top notch information and quality from both the main three hosts and the countless guests, as well as belly laughs and good humor. This podcast has made me break out with joviality on multiple occasions! However there is some problems, best summed up by I believe another reviewer, AnarchistPotato. Other than that, this is an amazing podcast and we all look forward to more.

Psilo7bSuccessfully deprogrammedThis podcast sucked the remaining dregs of liberalism from my soul and help me open my mind to true class consciousness. If you want to learn how loving and respecting fellow humans can lead to a better world, this is a good place to start.

LordHibblePibbleFantastic Pod!!I followed Second Thought on YouTube and felt myself wanting more so I was delighted to find this podcast!

The Real UrvUrmSmart guys, not the community for me thoughI love their episode with Decolonize Palestine. I kept listening. Nothing wrong with being bros, but their banter does frequently cross the line into something more abrasive, but that can probably be skipped easily since they sorta keep it in the intro. These guys and their online surrogates are Marxist-Leninist. They are so anti-American (fine with me) they have a rule where all criticism of AES (like China, DPRK, Maduro) is American Propaganda (less fine with me) no matter how authoritarian they are or how many they kill. It’s one thing to unlearn bias towards these governments, but to use things like the Holodomor as a joke to call the mods to come ban “libs” is a bit different.

k723849Informative but obnoxiousIt’s informative, especially for newer lefties, but it got very “bro”. I’m getting beyond sick of hearing “virgin” used as an insult or the phrase “soy boy” in any capacity. And the time when yugo went on about “vegans and lactose intolerant people” not using deodorant.. what are you even talking about? It’s obnoxious and exhausting, and not a great way to reach potential comrades. It’s a bummer, because I do really like all three of them and I learned a lot in the early days

AnarchoPotatoLove the pod but need to deprogram their socialized sexismThis is a great podcast full of important info and valuable insight. But it can get incredibly “bro”-y at points. I’d love to see the boys work on deprogramming their own social misogyny so that the pod is more inclusive and enjoyable for comrades of all genders and identities. As leftists we must always actively work to unlearn the biases engrained in us by our society.

StalinBussySocialism BadComrades, we have to forge ahead to make our evil ideology come true! We have to unite the whole world under the worship of our divine prophet Kim Jong-Un & the God Emperor of Mankind Pol Pot. If we cannot unite humanity for the sake of doing evil things, what will we do in the face of the imminent alien invasion from the planet of AnCapistan?
-
Ben BeitayMy favorite socialist podcastThe boys are coming from the best place, with a true, and simultaneously realistic, hatred of everything that todays bourgeois capitalist society has done to the world, and the practical efforts needed to create change. Also the intro song SLAPS. Like, SLAPS.

N8_psDoneLoved this podcast until they let garbage like Chapo, Hassan, and TrueAnonon on. The Brace Belden episode was the last straw considering he’s got ties to the CIA.

DrEagleTalonFunny and Informative from the best kind of Left PerspectiveYugopnik, Hakim and JT are all awesome creators on their own right. While bringing together good talent and smart minds doesn’t always produce good, entertaining and informative content, it worked here. It’s a banger every episode. Hakims recent video where he distilled it into a 20 minute highlight reel was awesome. I hate the teasers. Do the analytics show it helps drive growth? I’d rather have no teaser or at least highlight reel instead, like what hakim did. Keep up the great work. It’s funny enough that I can listen to it with friends and family who are basically fascists lol. Thanks for all Comrades.

Kasey Mills IBEW Local 46Combat LibertarianismBeen listening since the start and episode 62 was so good that I finally had to leave a review. In passing y’all touched on the threat of balkenization and the popularity of libertarianism in that episode. It was extremely interesting to hear your guest say that was an issue in Latin America because I always thought of it as an American issue. I see libertarian ideals deeply ingrained into the western left and I would love an episode where you all dissect these libertarian ideals, why they are bad and how they should be challenged (like maos “combat liberalism” but for libertarianism). A kind of vent diagram comparing liberalism to libertarianism would be very interesting also. Thank y’all for all you do, someday I will kick you all some of the money I have made while listening to your podcast on the clock!

jdhfoshdisndjndjdstart the ppl’s war in walmarti’m a long time listener of Second Thought and i love this podcast as well. the only thing i’d criticize is the subtle sexism that comes through. I notice a lot of careful consideration of the way things are phrased sometimes, but then other times when it comes to something like the Hilary ep or criticism of neo-liberal or conservative women in politics (which is completely valid obviously) the jokes and general sentiment are enough to make me uncomfortable as a woman. i know these biases are implicit, and these people are likely awesome, just something to consider when practicing.. yk.. deprogramming lol

topher516Best Weekly Podcast EverThis podcast is the most truthful and accurate show you will ever listen to. If you are a worker or part of the 99% of population that is not a billionaire, you must listen. This is the greatest weekly show ever. Love all JT, Hakim, & Yugopnik… a true International podcast.

horseblanketEpisode 60I listen to this show every week, and while I always like the content, I loved all of the commentary in episode 60. It was particularly quotable and memorable at the 44:22 mark when JT drops the history hammer and gives the most inspirational history lesson and speech! I want a YouTube clip of that segment that can be shared far and wide. That would go huge. 5 stars. Thanks Deprogram boys! Come to Salt Lake City, and see the red rocks and mountains!

brian485Poignant to our timesOne of the best podcasts out there in the ether. Funny? Defiantly yes. The hosts’ sense of humor is both welcomed and needed when tackling such weighty issues that plague the vast majority of people in this world but especially those in the “global south.” It’s nice to hear the views of the three hosts from three very different parts of the world, all of which are talented in their own right. I can’t recommend this podcast enough.
