The title says it all. Doug does not hold back and is a refreshing voice in a market devoid of actual criticism of our teams. Truly hope this podcast keeps gaining steam!

Miss this guy on 98.7. They made a big mistake letting him go. Wolf and Luke ain’t Doug and Wolf.

Love the behind the scenes takes that only someone who has worked in the industry would know. Has made me see how networks don't contribute to the discussion aside from sharing the narrative of their executives and the the sports teams. The breakdowns of press conferences is a highlight. I also appreciate the hustle and openness in the success and struggles to get a podcast and TV channel up and running.

I need to confess. In 2023 I’ve stopped listening to Network produced sports talk shows, and after 30 years of listening joy delivered by ESPN and others, I can’t bear it anymore, the quantity had been so watered down by big business sports media. I’ve turn the radio off for shows like Doug Franz Uncensored, and begun to look for others because the listening quality is excellent. It’s more in-depth. Corporate radio only talks about 3 of the 53 positions on a football team, shameful. Doug your doing a great job. I just subscribed to the podcast and now your man for AZ sports.

Doug has only getting better since going on his own. The “other” local broadcasts are quite clearly carrying water for the teams the report on but Doug tells it like it. Love to content and stoked to see what Doug is building.

Like him much better than Luke. Not sure why AZ sports replaced Doug with Luke. Grew up listening to Doug and Wolfe in the morning. Doug’s phenomenal I think.

Thank god he’s continuing on a podcast! No disrespect to Bickley but I much prefer Doug and Wolf in the morning. Thanks for keeping it going man!

As with anything the early episodes were all over the place, but the last couple months have really allowed DF to make this program his own and show what he does very well- Valley sports.

Doug is way better in this podcast format. Being in radio limits some freedoms and I get that. Glad we have a local podcast for our Arizona teams.

When Doug left AZ Sports Radio he took me with him. I used to love the Doug and Wolf show but Doug’s replacement just doesn’t do it for me. Doug’s podcast is better than radio because he’s more authentic and real, there’s no commercials every few mins and he is more blunt about things. I don’t know why 98.7 FM let go of him, but it was definitely a mistake that I’m sure they’re already paying the price for.

So awesome to have a candid, fun, family friendly that talks Phoenix sports every day!

I enjoyed Doug on the radio and was disappointed when he left. Just listened to Thursday’s pod and will listen every night. Love hearing about AZ sports since I am not originally from AZ. It’s good to listen to someone who is real. Thanks Doug

I never listened to sports talk radio before I moved to AZ in 2007. At that time I started listening to Doug & Wolf every morning commute. Doug’s always been my favorite sports radio guy and I’m glad I’ll get to listen to him on my morning commutes again!

So happy to hear Doug’s voice again. For some reason 98.7 in Phoenix thought firing Doug was a great idea. It was not. Whomever responsible for that decision needs to be let go next. Doug is covering all things AZ sports while tossing in gambling tips, long form interviews, and giving us the play by play of starting a new podcast and how it is impacting. It’s been great and I have made this podcast my new morning listen instead of 98.7 because this is just flat out better. Doug is bringing the energy, professionalism, and humanity we had become accustomed to all those years on the air. Welcome back Doug!

This guy maxed it as much as he could as the non-athletic out of shape geek with all the stats but no skills next to the meathead who took one too many to the noggin jock Wolf but he was on borrowed time in the weakest sports market in the country (for a big city that is) in regards to fan expectations. This podcast is just a bunch of gobbledygook. Not really contributing anything of substance. And look at the sad picture he uses for the pod of him and Cal Ripken Jr. He looks like a lunatic overdressed too old to be wearing a sports jersey fan who bumped into Cal at an autograph card show and paid an extra $20 for a picture and now he’s using that pic everywhere he can. I’m sure Cal loves having his pic used for this obscure podcast he has nothing to do with.

Great to hear Doug again. Weird not hearing him with Wolf but kind of like this better. Keep up the great work Doug.

Haven't listened to AZ sports morning radio after the switch up. Been waiting to see where Doug ended up, and luckily so far still in Arizona. The podcast is perfect, I get morning sports radio no mater what time I start my morning. Doug is the Voice of AZ sports in Morning!

I’m 15 years into my career. While I now enjoy a 90-second commute, it was closer to 90 minutes when I started, and Doug was with me the whole drive. Glad he’s back and unplugged!

“You can’t stop this man you can only hope is to contain him” The guy knows his stuff and even though we don’t like the same teams and he believes Elvis is overrated, I love to listen to him talk sports!

I can’t have a good day unless I start it with Doug’s show, while I miss the banter between him and Wolf, this is a great substitute. 98.7 must be kicking themselves for letting this guy go.

Good start to the day sports talk podcast, makes the early morning shifts enjoyable and entertaining.

I listed to Doug for just about all of his 15 years on Phoenix sports radio. He’s one of the most knowledgeable and smart sports personalities I’ve ever listened to. He’s a great interviewer, always seemed well prepared, and cares about his audience. Hopefully this podcast will free him from the shackles of corporate media and allow his opinions to be unfiltered. So far I’m really enjoying the podcasts and can’t wait for more! Best of luck Doug!
