I absolutely love this podcast. The topics are wide-ranging and surprising every time they drop a new one. The host and guests make great points without it feeling preachy or dense and the stories of the businesses are interesting and well-told. There is some funny banter but the pod is also very informative AND easy to follow while multi-tasking. The hosts are having a good time while also not making too much fun of serious situations and I always learn something new. So excited for the new season!

I love this podcast! I always get so excited when a new episode shows up in my feed. The episodes are incredibly well researched and sources are cited throughout, which I appreciate. Christian approaches complex topics in a fun, non-judgmental way. I’ve laughed out loud to this podcast many times and would recommend it to everyone!

the amount of research that goes into this podcast is impressive, and that’s not even including Christian’s jokes throughout each episode. i learned a lot about companies i see on a daily basis and just how busted businesses around us are!! love this podcast give it a try!!

Great podcast! Makes sad and frustrating topics fun!

If you are a fan of You’re Wrong About or Maintenance Phase, you absolutely must give this show a listen. Christian is frankly much funnier than the hosts of those shows (and they’re pretty funny!) and every bit as insightful and intelligent, and her guests always bring excellent energy and thoughts as well. As someone that had the privilege of seeing Christian blossom from afar in our conservative Catholic school (I was pretty far ahead years wise), she has always been obviously intelligent and naturally hilarious and charming, even as a middle schooler, so its of no surprise that this podcast is an absolute joy to listen to.

This has become my dishes & cooking podcast and istg I’ve always HATED doing dishes and I actually enjoy it now thx Christian <3

I’ve been mentally composing my review for a while but Christian accidentally called me out in the last episode lol. This podcast has quickly become my favorite thing in the world. Christian is so funny and does so much research. Everything is so thought out and well composed but the presentation is so very entertaining. All of the guests are great and make it even better. I live alone and this podcast keeps me company, I love it The Monsanto season literally changed my life. I adore everything Christian puts out and anyone considering listening should go for it! 🫶

After discovering the pod on TikTok, I’ve been a listener ever since. I love the chaotic and fun take on history though the lens of business and every episode manages to get at least one IRL LOL out of me. :)

I highly recommend this podcast if you like true crime without the blood and guts. The host, Christian, is hilarious and charismatic, and so are the guests she brings on. Every episode is exceptionally well-researched and always entertaining.

I’m convinced that Christian and I would be best friends irl and she’s retweeted me several times so I’m accepting that as canon. Her humor is incredible and the cadence between well-researched, awful facts and light-hearted humor is exactly what I want in a podcast. The Monsanto season was truly remarkable - it was like a Netflix special. I like listening to this podcast while driving or doing chores bc it just feels like friends hangin’ out, laughing, and sharing truly disturbing facts about awful businesses. Fun! 10/10

ngl this is the podcast that got me into podcasts (late i know!) and i’m going to be so sad when i run out of episodes to binge and have to wade the waters of podcasts that aren’t this funny or well-rearched. the chemistry between christian and her guests is so fun and the episodes never make you feel like you could’ve read a wikipedia page and gotten the gist of it. i even recommended this to my mom, who famously hates monsanto, and she thought it was “well researched but a little laughy.” high praise from shannon!

I’ve come to really love this show! The amount of research that goes into these episodes is deep, but the delivery is funny and easy to digest. Idk why, but the episode about rats was so fascinating to me. I love the diverse perspectives that are heard in this space. It’s like a nerdy post-boozy brunch convo with friends. So good.

This topic is right up my alley, and I found Christian on TikTok and loved her videos, so I started listening. I still really like the podcast, but think she would be better on her own, or with guests who weren’t just random friends of hers. The Lockheed Martin episode was great because it was someone who was actually knowledgeable about the subject and so laughs or jokes weren’t as forced, and it had more of the desirable energy of two people having an energetic conversation. Usually though there’s too much annoying laughter. Saying “slay” or “girl boss” ironically after someone has done something terrible is not comedy. I’m listening to the carbon offset episode right now and it’s so bad. Making an episode “silly” or “for the girls” isn’t what I’m here for when I’m listening to a podcast that is explicitly about how corporations are destroying our world. I understand she’s trying to market this a comedy podcast, but it would be better as a drier comedy more like the style of her TikTok videos or if the guests were more knowledgeable and they were actually capable of joking about the topic and not other random things.

They laugh constantly. So much laughing at such awful people. The people they cover are not funny. It’s not funny when deplorable/corrupt people game the system. Wish they would just cover the topic and quit laughing like little kids.
