StephHeroldMust listen for pop culture nerdsLoved being a guest on this podcast to talk about abortion and pop culture, love the commitment of Heather and Sarah to navigating these complex conversations even more. They bring a love for film and tv with a delightfully nerdy curiosity and compassion for the issues that hit so close to home for so many of us. Very grateful for the attention and and care they show their subjects, and excited to keep listening!

blunderbussDefinitely recommend!Heather and Sarah do a great job of delving into portrayals of mental health in the media. Their show covers a wide range of mental health conditions and is thought-provoking but easy to follow. I also appreciate their commitment to representation and to discussing stigma related to mental health.

The Devil’s PodcasterEAT UP.Speaking as a past (and, one hopes, given this starry review, future) guest, I cannot recommend BRAAAINS enough. The sisters Taylor have created an informed, inclusive space for the destigmatization and normalization of the health issues we all deal with but find hard to discuss. With humor, curiosity & a certain, shall we say, Canadian joie de vivre, Heather and Sarah plunge into diverse scientific topics and relate them to movies and TV, drawing a distinct line between who we are and what we see as individuals and as a culture. Each show is imbued with insight and humanity, and none of it is too hard to swallow. Think of it like the delicious brains devoured by the zombies in RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD - from which the show derives its name - and EAT UP. (Note: By all means, listen to any and all the episodes, but pay close attention to the delightful and sure-to-be-pondered-over-by-future-generations episode #28. Sarah and Heather REALLY crushed that one. Crushed it HARD.)

KahstoserakwatheI love this podcast! The Braaains Podcast is a brilliant take on how mental illness is portrayed in media - I’ve learned so much from listening to Sarah and Heather’s guest interviews. What an incredible way to more deeply understand ourselves and those in our communities who may be facing challenges to be heard and understood.

Donny, I Am The Cute One PodSpoiler Alert: I am not a smart person…At all. But this podcast teaches me so many things and about topics I never even thought to be interested in, but frames it through television that I love so I’m excited to learn.
