    Amazing, NEEDS to be continued
    Almost done with the podcast, so sad it ends so soon! Has an amazing story with good Voice Actors, I’ve been invested thoroughly! I really hope this hasn’t been abandoned and left alone, but rather the second season is being created!

    Everything about this show is amazing. I can’t recommend enough to someone searching for an immersive well-written sci-fi audio drama. I really hope to see more scripted fiction like Solar! Also would love to see this adapted into a feature film/tv show!

    NEED SEASON 2
    I really love the story but I hate how it kinda left off on a Cliff hanger almost 5 or 6 moths a go and present day there still Is not a season 2, it is so sad the story is so good and interesting.

    Hooked from the beginning as the story unfolds and you learn more and more with every thoughtful and detailed episode. Amazing. Please let there be a season 2!

    I just couldn’t get past how awful and distracting the computer voice is to get back into it after a break.

    Only got about 10 minutes in and just couldn’t listen anymore. Almost every voice was overly dramatic and didn’t flow at all. If you want something worthwhile I recommend Dark Woods or Impact Winter - both are intense and believable.

    Unexpected
    I don’t listen to fiction podcasts and I am not a Sci-Fi aficionado but being familiar with the creator’s work for over twenty years, I was surprised at some of the familiar elements and turns of phrase, as well as overall theme. Most of all I was shocked when I BURST into tears at the end. Slow to start, I really felt invested by the end. Will there be a season 2? Still have unanswered questions but willing to let them go. It’s a enough closure if that is your worry.

    The best podcast I’ve ever heard!
    I’ve been diving deep into listening to tonssss of scripted fiction podcasts. Out of the couple dozen+ I’ve listened to the past couple months, this is hands down the best one I’ve ever experienced. 10/10. I can’t imagine anything else could top this. Script, cast/acting, sound design, production & everything else was incredible. And all of the bonus stuff! I might do a second listen!

    I binge listened over a wekend and with no shame, admit I cried in the last episode. I haven't been this enraptured since TANIS and Wolf359. If you love space-themed podcast with a little supernatural and true character development, you will love this.

    The drinking sounds are very unnecessary. The drama, performances and story are great! The slurping and slapping of the coffee and are not great. Nobody likes to hear others do that, especially when it’s directly in the ear. Personal rant over.

    Ugh! So good. Was on the edge of my seat 95% of the time. Strong performances by true actors. I believed every second. I could see it in my theatre of the mind. WOULD RECOMMEND! Is there an more left after season one? I’m a bit underwhelmed with all the b-roll and interviews. Let us know so I can decide if I need to unfollow. Thanks.

    Best Fiction Podcast to sate
    I don’t write reviews, but Solar’s worth it. For those finding it hard to follow, it’s important to listen to the date/time Ali announced before the scenes, it’s pretty clear once that’s established. Anyway, I keep looking for similar podcasts - ie great script, well acted and fantastically produced, but sadly, it set the bar so high I’m finding all other podcasts disappointing. Really hope the series can continue!

    A bit confusing
    It’s a good story line but it’s very confusing with the back and forth from past to present day setting. It was difficult to follow the story and was lost quite a bit but finally finished entire story.

    Well done but difficult to follow
    A well done podcast with what should be an interesting story. But after listening to several episodes I'm finding it difficult to keep track of what is going on. Narrative switches from before to after the 'solar event' frequently. Maybe if it were more consistent in the timeline, it would be better.

    I liked it the first time I heard it when it was called Vast Horizon. This is what happens when you employ professional actors; they show up for the pay check. What a let down to hear a talented actor like Helen Hunt just phone in her performance and somehow receive top billing in the credits. Go listen to independent podcasters who actually have some passion for their craft.

    This is extremely well produced. All the actors are fantastic and the story is compelling and paced well between action, back story and character-building. I’ve just finished the series and now I’m going back for a second listen.

    Voice acting, sound crew, characters and overall story concept are all interesting enough. Clearly the actors are very talented. Storytelling conceit is fun. I’m a sucker for good found audio and non-linear storytelling. But yikes do they drone on and on in some scenes trying to be all grand and philosophical. I’m fine with philosophy, I just like that to be an organic part of the story rather than being monologued at. Worth a listen? Sure. Just don’t expect to be blown away, especially at the end.

    Stephanie is the reason I began listening to podcasts and she definitely does not disappoint in this one; none of the cast do!! The audio effects are so well crafted it makes you feel like you’re watching a show!! So action packed, full of laughs, twists and turns and so many surprises!! Gives you all the feels in every episode!! 100/10 recommend.

    Obviously this podcast has a bigger budget than most, but it put the advantage to use. I love fiction podcasts and this is the best one by leaps and bounds. So well written and produced. Phenomenal audio effects. The story is so human and creative. Just hoping they’re able to have a second season; I have a feeling Stephanie Beatriz may be charging a higher rate these days…

    Such good storytelling! I could easily picture every scene in my head. The sound was great as well! The last few episodes were really intense. I’m genuinely disappointed that there won’t be a new episode this week. Really hoping there’s a season 2.

    I can’t finish this story. One of the characters, a male, has a whiny fit every single episode. It’s too annoying to struggle through, and I enjoy sci-fi stories. I got through as much as I could. I’ll find the notes online to learn to the outcome of the mission.

    Wow. The range of emotions I experienced listening to this podcast! The acting was top notch by all. Jamal and Wren- my goodness! This is a must listen. Totally immersive, great sound effects, the story kept me on the edge of my seat. The finale had me crying. I even enjoyed the short audio files because it helped tide me over between episodes. Loved this so much.

    Just finished season 1 (no spoilers).. I’m not an emotional man.. it’s hard to get me to feel things.. stoic.. these characters, this story pierced the armor.. I just sat in the car finishing episode 12 to see if my fictional friends would be ok... tears of sadness... tears of joy... this podcast made me cry, and that’s never happened before. This journey is worth your time... don’t worry if you aren’t getting all of the details and nuances as it progresses, you’ll easily get the big picture in the end; storytelling at its best ☺️

    I love smart plausible, intense science fiction dramas. I was hopeful about this podcast with the cast lineup. It did not disappoint. It is very well done from fantastic sound design to the talented voice actors deftly portraying the triumph and abilities as well as the failures and deficiencies of the human condition. Going back to listen to the first two episodes filled in gaps with a lot of foreshadowing I miss the first time It made a marathon 12hr road trip fly by. Thank you!

    Has My Rapt Attention
    Excellent podcast. The acting is superior to most other podcast’s casts. Alan Cumming, Stephanie Beatriz, and Helen Hunt all deliver supremely. The Dolby Atmos sound is enthralling. I hope this is a podcast is a model of excellence that all other podcasts strive to be.
