    Encouraging podcast!
I find that memorizing God’s Word helps my mind and heart like nothing else. I’m not a superstar at memorizing; mostly I’ve done single verses or short passages and sometimes a chapter. I’ve been working on the book of Philippians for awhile now; I don’t know if I’ll get the whole thing down or not, but the point is not how much can I memorize and let you all know- the point is knowing Jesus more and more. And God uses His Word to transform us and give us the mind of Christ. That is something I need every single day. Thank you Josh for all the good work and for all the wonderful encouragement from you and your guests! Blessings be upon you.

    Inspiring, not intimidating
I’m really enjoying this podcast. I appreciate the encouragement and techniques that are shared. I’m starting slowly, because I’m new to memorizing Scripture - your podcast is so encouraging. You make memorizing feel like it’s within reach.

Great resource for going deeper in scripture memory
Josh’s podcast meets a critical need for those who are hungering to go deeper in scripture memory. Few Christians would deny that scripture memory is a fruitful effort for a more abiding relationship with Jesus, but there are FAR too few resources available to equip believers on this journey, particularly those who want to go deep and develop systems and memorize chapters. This podcast is an invaluable resource to enable you to go deeper in your walk with Christ. Thank you Josh for your ministry through this podcast!

    Inspiring & Informative
I accidentally stumbled upon this podcast while listening to another podcast about memory palace methods. Immediately I was encouraged because I did not know there’s a whole community of Christians committed to memorizing God’s Word. I could literally say something positive about every episode I listen to, but here’s just a few people and tips I would like to mention. The first show that really grabbed my interest was an interview with Amy from Bible Memory Masters. Her Backward Buildup Repetition Method intrigued me. I listened to the show twice and took notes. Another show I enjoyed was the interview with Tammy Lea Fabian. I really indentified with her methods! I love her idea of “recapturing” a book of the Bible 5 times. Her idea to write out her scriptures she is learning for the week, write out the scriptures she learned from the previous week, and then correct any mistakes she made connected with me. I also write my verses from memory and then go back and edit for accuracy. Tammy also discussed taking Sunday off from memorizing scripture, charting a chapter, and writing comparisons. All of those are excellent ideas. An interview with Dr. Larry Dinkins was also informative and encouraging. I listened to both episodes featuring him. I’m intrigued by the ideas of inductive Bible study orally and using tongue depressors to teach stories to others. I especially appreciated when Dr. Larry Dinkins mentioned replacing pronouns with proper nouns to clarify who is speaking when telling a story. I naturally started doing that in a few verses I am word-for-word memorizing; it made more sense to me that way. I could go on and on about the benefits of this podcast. I am so blessed having found this community!

    What a blessing!
So glad I found this podcast. I originally found the website and discovered the podcast through that. I have done some memory work in the past, but have felt the Holy Spirit’s encouragement to get serious. I remember reading a book years ago, a historical fiction novel about a Jewish Christian girl who was taken by the Romans and became their slave. The only way to know scripture in those days was to memorize it. There were no bibles. In the story this girl would often respond with scripture to the circumstances in her life and won many Romans over to Christ with her gentle and quiet spirit. I wondered if there were a time when we could have no Bible here in the USA, would I know God’s Word? I think the time is now, if there were ever a time to memorize scripture. Thank you for doing this podcast!

So encouraging with practical tips and help to memorize scripture
I found out about Josh because of an interview he did where he shared that he was memorizing the entire NT! I had never heard of someone attempting that and was intrigued to learn more. I’ve learned so much from Josh and Bible Memory Goal and am now memorizing the book of James. I highly recommend this podcast and the resources he provides but my favorite part has been the community. I encourage you to join us!

    Inspiring and Approachable
Really enjoying this show and it’s actually inspiring me to want to memorize more Scripture. Historically I’ve struggled to read and study my Bible daily, much less to memorize it. And honestly, memorizing scripture feels really overwhelming. This show has made the whole topic way more approachable. Especially loved the episode on how to choose a translation to focus on and having translation consistency.

    Help in the battle
Scripture memory is a spiritual battle. Just because I value it, doesn’t mean I’ll consistently do it and every little bit of encouragement helps. Seeing a new Memorize What Matters episode in my podcasts feed helps me in the battle. Listening to the techniques and testimonies in the podcasts greatly help in the battle. Hearing Josh and his guests’ passion and excitement for the word greatly helps in the battle. If you need encouragement and tactical help to memorize God’s word, then subscribe, listen, and most importantly, memorize!

    Great show!
This is so interesting! Thanks for the variety of interviews, memory techniques, and even some biblical teaching and history. As a relatively new memorizer, this is so encouraging to learn that I can develop the skills to memorize large passages and even while books of the Bible. Please keep up the good work😇

    Great information
Love the interviews with people who does this for a living or day to day more so than just personal reasons. These techniques are fascinating. I’m praying I can do them myself! TY to all that has been on this podcast.

    Spiritual Discipline
Many Sunday school teachers encourage and incentivize memorizing single Bible verses. Unfortunately, somewhere on the road to adulthood, many do not continue this vital spiritual discipline. The Memorize What Matters Podcast, produced by Bible Memory Goal, will encourage, teach, and motivate you to write God’s word on your heart. -Doctorate of Ministry Candidate, Rawlings School of Divinity at Liberty University

    Immense value
Among all the resources I have looked at for extended scripture memory, Josh’s work is by far the most useful. Not only is he good at providing quality content and guest interviews, he is very good at presenting it in a digestible and pleasant format, which I assume has a lot to do with his business/media background. I was really excited to see his YouTube channel be made into a podcast format as it will make it much easier for me to tune into his content sooner and more often. What makes Josh’s content unique in this space is that his desire for efficiency and his background in business impact how he approaches Bible memory. He applies the same rigor to this podcast as to running a business which leads to more in-depth research on memory, techniques, etc. than others sharing knowledge in this space. Besides his unique perspective/approach, the interviews allow you to see many different approaches and perspectives that can provide great insights.
