CsideAugInthebooks Ladies a DelightThis podcast is perfect for anyone who has watched or is currently watching PBS’ Sanditon as It covers all three seasons. The hosts, Rita and Michelle, are absolutely delightful. They complement each other so well and have an incredible knack for making the listener feel as though they are sitting at a table with them discussing Jane Austen with much humor, laughter, and spot on analysis. The extra treat is to find out the song that Rita has selected to close out each show - always fun and spot on to the underlying theme of each show.

Zuzu's PetalsMy Poldark Girls do it againI already watched all of Sanditon seasons 1-3 when I found this podcast, so I just clicked on the finale episode but when I heard the voices and realized it was the same ladies with the Poldark show, I went ALL the way back to the first Sanditon review to start the full journey. These ladies are so so funny and have the best most relatable reviews. Thank you for entertaining me with your impressive period drama knowledge and your hilarious insights!!!

Delia from TexasPostcards from Sanditon Vol 4Thank you for a very lovely Postcards from Sanditon vol4. Rita, you did an amazing job by yourself. I really enjoy the recaps of Sanditon as well as Anne Boleyn and Mr Malcolm’s List. Your podcasts are fun, informative and they make me laugh so hard. Michelle was missed but I am imagining she is on a chair having a drink aboard her cruise. Keep up the good work and I will continue to listen after Sanditon ends today. Can’t wait to enjoy your future podcasts.

Jean from ColoradoSaying Goodbye to Old FriendsHaving enjoyed Michelle and Rita’s fancast with Poldark, Bridgerton, and Sanditon, Seasons One and Two, it has been a true joy to travel with them through the bittersweet six episodes of Sanditon’s final season! Not only do they impart humor and a sense of familiar camaraderie with old friends to their listening audience in recounting each episode with its cast of diverse, intriguing characters, but they enrich their summaries of each episode and each character’s storyline with historical, gender-affirming, class-conscious, and racially-sensitive commentary. I have anticipated listening to their weekly recaps since Sanditon’s final season premiered on March 19th in the US on Masterpiece. With their weekly fancast, combined with their next day bonus “Postcards from Sanditon” ~ in which they thoughtfully read out the insightful emails from their fans to complement Rita and Michelle’s previous day’s narrative ~ each podcast provides a laugh-out-loud appreciated respite from jarring news in the States and a window into the human condition which we all can appreciate, whether it’s 1820s England or 2023 America. I will happily check back to monitor their “InTheBooks” network for their future endeavors in creating a new fancast for summarizing another new season of a period drama for Regency England. But until then, with the conclusion of the Sanditon fancast, it’s like saying goodbye to dear friends. They will be missed!

Robin1802Funny -intelligent reviewsRita and Michelle are entertaining-smart-quick witted -insightful women. They know their regency period so I learn. There are many times during each show that I burst out laughing. I love Sanditon and it’s nice to listen to the recap- breakdown of scenes and hear their views on themes. Highly recommend

Imdbfan100They make watching any show more fun!Rita and Michele do such hilarious recaps and then dive deep into every show they podcast about. Sanditon fancast does not disappoint. They have the diligence to not binge watch (quite amazing) so you get their fresh take of every episode. If you are a period drama fan it’s a great place to nerd out - they read every email they get (it seems) so it feels like a great community. Highly recommend!
