I am so happy that I stumbled upon this podcast of one of my all time favorite shows!!! I rewatched season 1 before season 2 began and am glad I did that because I realized I had forgotten 70% of Severance due to all the details and nuances of the show. Listening to Allen’s skillful narration and notations makes me feel like I’m watching the show again for a 3rd time but giving me a completely different experience! I love this show and the passion of this podcast! ❤️❤️

Incredible detail and fantastic analysis. Allen does an excellent job painting a very detailed picture to enjoy. Unfortunately, it all turned sour for me once he interjected his irrelevant personal opinion into things, specifically about being horrified after looking up the definition of a “throuple.” I’m not in one (a duple is enough work!), but know others who are. Why Allen’s personal disgust with the concept has any bearing on the deep dive of such a fantastic show is beyond understanding. I don’t recall hearing such things from him before, and communicating his opinion of this issue is entirely unnecessary. He could have easily described Ms. Corbel’s perceived infatuation with both innie and outtie Mark without needing to declare his own moral high ground for us all to witness. It should go without saying that I fully support his right to have such an opinion. I just think it has no place in what used to be a great podcast. What a disappointment.

I have only listened to the show-specific eps so far, so this review is based on that. This recap podcast is entertaining and super-thorough while being well-paced. I appreciate that host Allen Stare gives IMDb info on every person who makes this show a success - I’m “that person” who always looks up the actors while I’m watching TV, so this bit of info is always fun to me. Plus he’s got a great podcast voice. Looking forward to his S2 eps.

This is an incredibly well researched and produced podcast. You can tell that Allan S is passionate about the show. By far the best television podcast I've consumed to date. Keep up the great work - I look forward to your coverage of Season 2.

I was looking for stuff to get pumped for the premiere of Severance S2 and happened upon this podcast. Initially pulled in by Allen S’ calm, steady voice and killer audio recording setup (seriously!) I quickly became hooked on the unique scene-by scene breakdowns, clever easter egg musings, show theories, and his obvious love for the show. Just excellent.

Allen S - you are my hero! Keep up the great work. I look forward to hearing your recaps of Season 2.

I watched Severence as it was first released, and was a fan. I assumed it was yet another great concept series that the Covid epidemic killed off. I found this podcast and I’m totally BLOWN AWAY! Listening to Allen S digest these episodes brings out like 10x the entertainment value! It’s true what they say, you haven’t actually even really watched this series until you’ve listened to this podcast! Now I can’t wait for season2!

We got into Severed about a year ago and this podcast has really made rewatches much more fun. We can’t wait for the in depth shows as we experience season 2!

Allen’s research into the production and writing of Severance is unmatched!

The audio production is spot-on. The background, the research, everything, is perfect. Serious time has been spent, and continues to be spent, as he goes through multiple rewatches, interviews, updates from Reddit and Facebook… absolutely perfect.

As someone who has rewatched the tv show multiple times, sought out all the conspiracy theories, and had endless discussions with others, I was beside myself when I found this podcast! The production quality, the pacing and structure, and the thoughtfulness of each episode is incredible. I binged the first dozen episodes in a few days and made sure to join the Patreon because this immediately became one of my favorites. Have recommended to all my friends (who I also coerced into watching Severance in the first place). Cannot wait for the Season 2 breakdown and am loving the origins episodes until then!

This is the best audio production of a show deep dive you are going to find. I highly recommend giving it a listen- even if Severance isn’t your favorite. Alan S.’s presentation technique is truly a work of art- seamlessly blending show details, backstory facts, performer insight, audio clips, commentary, film/production knowledge and humor. I can’t say enough how much I enjoy his work. I recommend trying one of his Origins episodes, where he explores the inspirations behind Severance. Try The Matrix, Truman Show, or my personal favorite “Office Space”. If you are a listener, do yourself a favor and listen! And if you are a Severance fan- well, what are you waiting for?! Time to refresh and catch up before Season 2. This is my first review, so thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy this podcast as much as I do. I don’t say that lightly. I’m super picky and have listened to dozens of recap podcasts. This one is hands down the best. Informative, super detailed, incredibly entertaining. The host’s voice is soothing (I try to enjoy them all equally but I can’t, he’s too good) and I find myself relaxing, even though the subject matter and show are anxiety inducing. Thank you, Allen!

When I finished Severance and realized there was no release date for the next season, I was heartbroken. But then I found this podcast and it has been a fantastic way to get deeper into the Severance world while we wait for season 2. Really well done and informative! Nice work.

This is a stellar podcast. My only negative comment would be that you really should not listen until you've seen all nine episodes. I would have liked to listen to each episode recap as I viewed each episode instead. If you've seen all nine episodes this podcast is really excellent.

At first I didn’t think I would enjoy one person describing in detail what I had seen … or what I thought I had seen! My innie missed a lot and this podcast fills in both what was shown and what is shown in chronological order … except for an abundance of spoilers. Yes, this pod happily spoils everything so watch all the episodes at least once or twice before listening. lol

Very thorough analysis of each episode. Heads in a lot of detail outside the scope of the episode to bring even more insight. High quality, recording, and very listener friendly voice.

Love everything about this Pod! If you are a fan of Severed and enjoy going down the rabbit hole in re: to each episode, do not wait to download this podcast! I simply cannot enjoy it equally to other podcasts!

Loved Allen’s WKRP Cast. I didn’t know if I would like Severance but after watching the season, I was able to listen to the podcast. Allen has done a great job on the first two episodes. Now I have to rewatch season one again. Happy to be able to listen to Allen again!

A huge fan of the show, I was looking forward to learning more about the actors, production, storylines, mysteries and characters. These things are covered extremely thoroughly - too thoroughly. It felt like 20 minutes of the first episode were spent on color choices the production team made and why. Nah, I’m good.

This podcast was just what I needed after watching Severance! I watched it a second time immediately after my first watch and listened to this podcast after every episode. Allen has a great podcast voice and I always wish the episodes of the podcast would keep going, not just because I love Severance but I love this rewatch podcast. Severed is well produced and very detailed. He asks all the questions I ask and researches all the stuff I research when I watch shows like this, except he does A LOT more of it! Allen will answer a lot of your questions, share many theories to the questions we can’t answer, and call your attention to details in the show you did not miss. (He has me VERY concerned about Devon in season 2!) Thank you Allen S.!

First of all, the host has a fantastic speaking voice! He points out details I missed and gives interesting insights about the actors, set design, etc. As he repeatedly says, this is a podcast to listen to AFTER you’ve watched all 9 episodes. This podcast is exactly what I need while I wait for season 2!

I have watched this show so many times I should receive a severance perk, and I can’t believe how much I still missed about the episodes until this podcast. Recently, I got around to watching ‘Severance’ After viewing an intense series, I like to seek out a podcast to listen to and then rewatch the series. Having done this with many shows, I have to say ‘Severed: The Ultimate Podcast’ is far and away the absolutely very best experience I’ve ever had. You get the Easter eggs, the background stories, the interviews with folks who talk about richly interesting details you would never hear anywhere else! Allen Stare has masterfully presented this show in podcast form, making previous podcasts pale in comparison. Thank you so much!

In this podcast you’ll hear Allen Stare do an amazing job at explaining the show’s every moment, the tiniest of details, fan theories, & so much more. As a giant fan of the show, I was instantly hooked to this podcast. I always felt like I kept up with the “lore” surrounding Severance, but oh boy was I wrong. Allen did an outstanding job with pulling things from all over to compile one heck of a podcast. Grab a coffee, preferably straight from the hills of Rwanda, sit back & get SEVERED.

Allen S. does the best “Severance” podcast. It’s the only one I can listen to, and I have listened to all 9 episodes (9 as of today) multiple times. His announcing style is professional, his delivery natural and modulated. He is not “winging it” or yakking extemporaneously. Each podcast reflects great preparation and research. Allen S.’s speech is smoothly integrated with audio clips from the show. Lots of trivia and interesting tributaries to float down. Music is also integrated really nicely. Such a pleasure to listen to and a great support to the show, especially if you are obsessed and need to reflect on episodes before you re-watch for the umpteenth time. Bravo, Allen S., I will now stagger my exit.

In the first 20 minutes of episode 1 of this podcast, the host spoils a key revelation that doesn’t happen until episode 9. Part of the fun of podcasts like this is taking the journey with the host(s), including speculations, observations, and insights. This podcast is for after you have watched all of season 1. Not very fun in my opinion.

If you love Severance, you will thoroughly enjoy this deep dive! The Severed podcast dissects every episode nearly frame by frame. I’ve watched Season 1 several times, and Allen S still pointed out details I’d missed. He has done his homework! Back stories on each actor, setting, scene, and alllllll the red-blue-green symbolism. I’m obsessed both with the show and with this thorough discussion of it!

I like this podcast as much as I like this show!
