DaniellennonNew listenerI first came across Derrick, on instagram. I have always been someone with a thirsty for new and different music and so I decided to follow. This week I decided to give your passion project episodes a listen while on a run, and I was floored by the amount of grounded wisdom. I don’t normally write reviews, but I just had to take a moment out of my day to appreciate Derrick for unapologetically endorsing a slower pace to go about chasing one’s goals. Appreciate your authenticity, keep up the great work. Cheers, Daniel

scannypackSurface Level Art and Music RamblingsVery mid podcast interspersed with some interesting music industry takes. Emphasis on the rambling. I’m not learning much here. Some episode topics are cringe. The podcast is generally very surface level and geared toward pop and mainstream music, which is unfortunate because it’s obvious that DG has much deeper knowledge, but maybe that’s not what his audience wants? Now it makes sense how this guy blew up on Tik Tok. Also clearly he has a very surface level knowledge of audio and hi-fi.

Hardly StarvingBest mind in music todayDerrick is a brilliant content creator (TikToker and Instagram reelser) and his podcast is nothing short of exceptional. He is an amazing DJ (they don't call him the Fade King for nothing) and I could listen to him talk about music for hours. His depth of knowledge, wide range of topics covered, and that buttery smooth voice make this a must listen.
