Aubrey NewlandGreat BalanceI love the approach of this podcast. Powerful truths, humor, and a view of God and the gospel that presupposes goodness, mercy, and love. Having Stephan and David on the podcast makes a great combination!
-
GreenfurgStruggling to stay in the purpose of the messageI find myself struggling to separate the message of the gospel with the noise of side bar joking/distracting ad lib comments from David. I love this insight and deeply appreciate the testimony offered by both hosts. But I find myself at the end of the podcast trying to sort out and identify what the meat of the headlines were. Please allow Stephan to offer his headline without side comment/teasing of his choice and style. It’s a trade off as he finds space for David’s sponsorship spiel.

Lblood920The VelvitiserI’m standing on the steps of Buckingham Palace waiting for the changing of the guard when you started talking about the Velvitiser and the Queen of England! 🤣🤣 I love your podcast and all of your insights. Thank you!!

CC HamblinEars to Hear.I am so enjoying your book. Thank you

cmjohns3My voteI just listened to this week’s podcast for the second time. You mentioned it might be the last one for the season or maybe there’s another one next week. I’m voting for one more next week before the new conference talks come out. I know you have it in you!😃

H.SimsSeriously my favorite!I love this podcast so very much! Both of the hosts are amazing, funny, and clever. Their relationship, fun banter, comments and testimonies of the restored gospel have helped me in ways I cannot express here. I wish the episodes were longer! I feel like I am amongst my own friends when I listen.
-
bvritunesI Love this PodcastI love this podcast and both of the hosts! Their take on the conference talks and the way they deliver their messages really resonates with me!

maurloparkerdcDouble GoodSpeaking of double good, I move that the two of you talk for 40 minutes and we will all listen on double time so it will still only be twenty minutes, but we get even deeper conversation! That would be a double blessing on Tuesday.

Lighting it UpLove the insights! When you teach with the spirit, we get inspired in our individual lives. Thank you. I don’t know how to make a comment on my phone so sorry, I Sam putting it here. 😅 You talked about how peace and safety doesn’t resonate. But as you were talking about what you want the youth to know, you said that you could trust God and you could be “safe” in His love. So maybe that is what is meant by having “peace and safety.” You can have that in His love. Because that is exactly what I feel is safety and peace in His relationship. Great episode on May 7, 2024. (Not that they aren’t all great.)

Fuelman1012Disappointed in changeThank you so much for going back to conference talks! I really appreciate that choice you made!

Deej_620Thank you!David and Stephan, I just wanted to thank you both for taking the time to produce this content. I find it to be real, relatable and helpful in my own faith journey. I personally have appreciated the recent deviation in the format of the episodes. Don’t get me wrong, I loved your reviews of the conference talks too. However, I’ve found the content of the more recent episodes to strike close to home, providing me with hope and encouragement. I love and appreciate both of your perspectives. I wish I could sit down with you both in person and pick your brains more on some of these topics. Thank you so much! -DJ

Tamila90Preferred the Study Together ModelI really enjoyed the idea of “let’s study conference together” but I’m almost uncomfortable with the setting up themselves as being the authority to ask questions to with mostly cerebral answers. But I also enjoy their perspective and the talk about questions. Maybe the two can be combined and we they can get back to tackling questions with conference talks and scriptures? Hoping for more diving into scripture and conference talks soon.

CMG2girlsandadogLOVED YOUR PERSPECTIVESOn the conferences talks. The quotes Stephen brought deepened my understanding. And the real life connections David made, made the conference talks more relatable. Love for you to share your insights on the conference talks again.
-
Dr. LaRueBring Back Conference TalksI loved when you reviewed conference talks (5 stars). The spirit and perspective you provided was invaluable. I loved the all of the quotes Stephen would bring in. I know you switched so that you could add in more scriptures and other quotes but I haven’t noticed that you’ve added more of that. In fact, in the first two episodes of the new format I didn’t notice a single scripture or quote from church leaders.
-
japostoloMissing the conference talksI like this podcast but I was really sad when y’all decided to stop discussing the conference talks. I loved being able to listen to the conference talk and then hear about it from this podcast, inklings, and this is kingdom. It really helped me see lots of different perspectives. I think you could even incorporate some of the new topics you’re discussing with the conference talks depending on the talk. Anyway, I’m debating discontinuing listening because I don’t quite like it as much.
-
lifeofskylaI FREAKIN LOVE THIS PODCASTSeriously I went back and listened to every episode. I would love for you guys to KEEP discussing the conference talks though.
-
lisainthe505Platform changeThey both have such great insights but I liked the conference talk reviews. This new platform does not make me excited every week like the conference talks did. But that is just my personal preference. I’m sure it will be good topics for many!
-
btgoetschThank youThis is my favorite podcast to listen to on morning runs. I love the simple yet profound truths Stefan and Dave share every week. Thank you!

Brandi.BanksDoors wide openThank you for this episode. As a single active mama I had a bishop call me in and say “ you know you are not able to go to the celestial kingdom without your marriage right?” This was after an 11 year temple marriage ended by my husband sending me a text message while I was sitting in a ward council meeting. I have fully active happily married friends who can’t understand why this topic is so hard to understand or just “trust God will figure it out” (which I do) but I just really appreciated you addressing this without trying to talk us out of our feelings and confusions around it and with stating two things can be true at once! Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️

mapmyrideupdatesucksLonger!I'm wondering why you have to keep it so short? I want it longer, you want to keep talking...why not just go for it?
-
joey_anneNeeded - so grateful for you both! The FUN! The perspectives! The deep dive into conference that I need to engage in a semester of study. So grateful for you both! It always feels like a conversation you’d have with a friend while on a hike or out to breakfast. Love it! Ps - and a huge thank you for keeping it under 30 minutes. Hallelujah!

SadieBosThank you!I love listening to this podcast! It is so relatable and fun, but also so uplifting. It adds so much to my experience with the general conference talks. There have been many one liners that have been answers to prayers for me and have brought peace that I needed. Thank you for what you are doing, it makes a big difference!
-
familymammaExcitedI’m so excited for your son, David. We have a family friend from Mozambique. He goes and performs service for the people of his country on a regular basis
-
smalls07182747You two are incredible!!Thank you thank you so much for starting to put the names of talks. I have now been able to look at printed or digital copies of the talks while listening to this and it has been amazing. Y’all are so insightful, while still keeping it interesting. As a 15 year old, it can be hard to remember everything from general conference so it’s great to look back at a talk each week. I have loved listening to this all of this year, thank you!
-
M_Petey_33InspiringI appreciate David’s and Stephan’s commentary on each of the talks from the most recent General Conference. This podcast was the inspiration I needed to start my own General Conference themed podcast: General Conference Applied. Keep up the good work gentlemen!
-

bakerbunny18Awesome podcastI love this podcast! The title itself is rad reminding us to have spiritual weekly revivals! I love the insights shared, I feel like I am getting a 25 minute institute class. It’s meaty but simple and helps me refocus myself and improve my relationship with Christ.
-
Jonah kehler123Short but impactfulI am loving these podcasts even more each week. I have found myself able to remember the lessons taught throughout the week because these are shorter and give good suggestions on how to actually apply the messages taught.

-
mylabwarrenWhat talk?So great! I love David Butler and was excited for a new podcast of his. I would love to have the conference address that is going to be discussed in the description or somewhere just so I can reread it before I listen to the podcast—just to be a little more prepared.

KatieKatMaddockThis podcast is the bombI’ve been listening to this podcast weekly as I carpool to school with a classmate who is of a different faith tradition. We both find commonality in it and it opens great discussion as we drive to school. I love it’s length and I think David Butler is awesome! Wish he could’ve been my seminary teacher.
