Eastman721AmazingHey, my name's Eastin, I'm 14, and I play an RDA Centur-ion deck. Unfortunately, there isn't a local card shop where I live, but my cousin and I are actually thinking about starting one in the future! I just wanted to say I absolutely love this podcast—I listen to it every chance I get, and it's always a great experience. I love that I not only can be caught up with Yu-Gi-Oh news but also hear about other topics. I also have a question: Do you have any recommendations for trading card games that are similar in pace to Yu-Gi-Oh other than MTG or Pokémon also, what are your thoughts on crossover breakers? (I guess that’s 2 questions)

Madaran39Came for the yugioh, stayed for the menI’ve watched these guys before they started the pod, and I’m glad they did it. Good commentary, great chemistry, interesting topics. If it weren’t for these two, I’d be out of the loop on a lot of gaming news. That said, I don’t care how FINE these guys are (Hi Alec 😘), I’m always skipping the Marvel stuff. Keep up the great work.

Kaiba Corp Desk JockyAmazing podcast for my work mornings!Hey guys I love the podcast and I have been listening since February of this year and it has been a great addition to my weekly work life. It’s nice to your guys opinions not just about Yugioh but interesting news, movies, and the latest Pokémon crimes. I do have a question. People always compare Yugioh to Pokemon, and rightfully so. I know the collecting part of the Pokemon brand is a huge part of the game, but I feel Yugioh also has that appeal and is never talked about in the same context. I feel Konami knows this and that’s why they always release DM and other nostalgia support. I feel a huge part of the community resents this practice of printing cards for fan fav archetypes like blue eyes, hero’s, DM, and ect.) but in the Pokemon tcg it is celebrated. My question is do you think Konami is poorly communicating this aspect of the brand to their audience or is the Yugioh community just ready to move on from what yugioh used to be? Some people say it’s because the Yugioh community is too competitive but compared to other tcg’s prize support I feel that argument falls flat. Why just focus on the competition of the game and not the love of the IP. Pokemon who has better rewards for competition can balance both so why can’t Yugioh? Thanks again and please keep pumping out more episodes of the Pod :)

LelouchviBrittaniacommandsyouGOAT PODCAST2 hours go by so fast at work listening to yall!!!! I wanted to ask would you guys ever start your own league or circuit for master duel??
-
dom99957A+ podcastI love this podcast, I go on a run everyday and I listen to this while running. Very entertaining and interesting. I don’t have a local card shop near me, so I always like to hear about locals and duel experiences. I have only ever dueled family and friends, so I am a casual player but I do play an exodia/millennium deck. I found out about the pod through team aps about a month ago, and have been enjoying since!

JrRIVera/YGOAwesome ygo podStarted listening this last month and a half. Work a job where I’m driving a lot and there pod is really fun and Informative. Been a ygo fan since the start always loved playing with my brothers than been on and off of playing most of my life. Had a run a few years back where I finally got competitive and did a few tournaments, but fell out of it again, but honestly your pod had really got me back into ygo. Keep up the good work

rifter2001More yugioh content pleaseI’ve been listening since you started the podcast and love being able to listen while I work. The only thing I would love is more discussion of yugioh as a whole like your aps+ vids. Not sure if you could pull more content than 10 minutes like from your normal topics but having Alec to bounce those ideas off of that you propose in your videos could lead to even more nuanced discussions on the game as a whole. But maybe it’s just me that wants something like that. Anyway, 5 out of 5 stars keep it up and thanks for the content

hope harbringerMy favorite ygo podcastI am a teenager who got back into ygo a few months ago and have gone somewhat competitive since and have started topping my locals consistently. I started listening to this podcast the first day i got back into ygo and have been listening to every episode since. I wanted to thank you for making my Thursdays better and I hope you continue having fun making the pod.

WerditsjordanLove the pod!Was wondering if you could give your opinion on the odd-eyes archetype and how would you make it competitive? I run a mix of Odd-eyes/magician/performapal/supreme king. I’d like to go to my first locals and be competitive running what I like. I appreciate you guys and keep going!

ElvenightGateway to YugiohI played Yugioh when I was a kid with random cards I buy with my brother; and occasionally when I got older. I was introduced to The Pod through the Team APS channel (probably the mystery duels.) Through listening to the pod it got me itching to duel again with my friend and I’m building a traptrix deck because of your recent Walmart battle box video. Love hearing all your gaming stories and “Hot takes” keep up the good work.

Jackson G SMuch more than a yugioh podcastI have been familiar with team APS for many years now, and have always been a fan. As someone whose interest in yugioh waxes and wanes, I did not always closely follow the YouTube content. This podcast on the other hand has become a permanent fixture of my commutes to work. They mix it up and seem to be able to make any topic interesting with the hosts natural chemistry and banter. Paul always has a level headed analytical approach and Alec seems to say whatever pops into his head, and it’s always a good time. Keep it up!
-
Jesse___Best yugioh podcast!Hey Paul and Alec! Jesse, from YugiohCommander here. I have always loved the podcast, been watching since episode one! It’s been great getting both of your perspectives on all the subjects you bring up. Every time you guys bring up Domain Format, the discord for the alt format loses its mind! 😆 Hope to play someday!
-
Coop’s computerLove from ClevelandHey, I try to watch and listen to a lot of yugioh on YouTube and through yugitubers discord and love the pod because I can’t just listen to the audio and just feel I’m still in the world that I love involving my hobbies even when im not participating in them.

Downtown AndyAlways fives for my favorite guysTo answer your question from the beginning of last week’s episode; it’s not even so much that snake-eyes is a problem. Because it’s very easy to build a deck centered around countering any strategy. But then said deck may not necessarily fair well against anything else. I’ve been skipping locals lately mainly because I can’t find the time to adequately prepare. But also because the format is very unappealing. So while snake-eyes, tenpai, voiceless, and labyrinth are all formidable threats, I honestly believe it would be in the players’ AND Konami’s best interest for Konami to invest in meta-level support more regularly for a broader array of archetypes. It’s a win/win for everyone.

Armageddon KnightLove You Guys!Found you guys thanks to the YouTube recommendations and I’ve been hooked ever since. I was so excited when I found out that you have your own podcast. Aside from how funny your videos are, I love how wholesome and genuine you guys are. It’s clear that you love the game and your fans and that is all there is to your content. It’s a breath of fresh air to find such dedicated creators who are here for the same reason we are: to have fun. I cannot overstate how refreshing it is to find a group such as yourselves who don’t fall into the outright toxicity that we’re plagued with these days. Thanks for all the hard work and I hope you have fun doing it. P.S. Always been curious, what are your favorite cards and why? Mine’s Demise Supreme King of Armageddon; his art, effect, and archetype just hit it home for me.
-
We_Too_Don’t quit early!Hey guys love your content I actually got back into yugioh after coming across your YouTube channel. I am a 31 year father of 3 and I casually play master duel whenever I get the chance, and what you are saying about quitting early is so true! I currently play Tear Horus, and had 3 games recently on my rank up to Master 5 from Diamond 1 where I was about to surrender, but I thought about what you said, and I won those games because my opponent just simple couldn’t out grind me, or they made a mistake and quit when I was dead in the water! I can not wait to teach my children this wonderful game.

AnubisTHFantastic PodI’ve been a long time player since back to LOB back in the day, but have been in and out ever since. Listening to the POD really got me back into the game, and I was able to get my brother and my best friend to both start playing again as a result. Always a great listen, and makes my work days go a little smoother and a little easier. Thanks for always brightening up my Thursdays! You guys are the best!

SymphoninjaExtremely UnderratedI am a older GenZ/younger millennial and recently got back into my childhood obsession of the TCG except…now with adult money. My first episode was episode 47 but I have been backtracking to previous episodes, something I usually never do! Listening to this podcast has been really informative, yet relaxing. I learn a lot about Yugioh each week but I ultimately enjoy every segment. I can’t help but feel like I am hanging out with a bunch of friends talking about interests (Yugioh, video games, technology, and more). Alec and Paul are extremely respectable hosts. I feel like you two offer very honest takes in a respectful manner. I consider you two to be positive representatives of content creators especially in this card game/content creator space that I am proud to watch and listen to. Thanks for getting me through my day guys.
-
frappy21Great podcast with amazing hostsHey paul and alec! I began watching team aps way back during the kalvin series where he tried to summon a monster in 5 turns while you guys would try to stop him. Ever since I have watched your channels grow and when i found out about the podcast I was so exicted since i can listen to guys while on the road or at work. So i always feel part of team aps. Keep up the the amazing content. Hope you guys don’t mind if i toss in a question for the pot. Just wanted to know both your opinions on cyber dragon archetype? Most I been able to climb in master duel with them is diamond rank so i wanted to know if its a deck thats able to keep with the meta. Anyway thanks for taking the time for this and look forward to more team aps.
-
JviciousMy yugioh fixI have been watching the main aps channel for years. I don’t play paper yugioh but I play duel links and watch you guys all the time. All of you have chemistry together that is in matched by any group I have seen. Keep up the great work. Love the podcast but my main question for you is… pot of greed… what does it do? Happy dueling duelists!
-
Mjams23Great Podcast! One of my favorite shows out there! Got back into Yugioh about a year ago through speed duels after a 20 year absence. This show and your channels have helped me learn and catch up on everything I’ve missed out on and now my brother has gotten back into it as well. We have been really enjoying getting into modern Yugioh thanks to Team APS! Keep up the great work!
-
NecessaryEvil25Keep up the good workProbably my favorite podcast really helped me get more into yugioh after returning with duel links but falling in love with master duel. Paul and Alex are such good teachers for new comers that it got me into the tcg and playing with real cards at locals keep up the great work cuz if it wasn’t for you guys I probably woulda fell off of yugioh after getting owned the first few times
-
CON37*Great yugioh podLove this podcast!!! I’ve been playing yugioh casually since TOSS format and a few months ago I got more competitive. Love that you guys cover a lot of broad tcg content that I normally with my yugioh centered YouTube feed, don’t get exposed to usually. In closing great pod.

CattastickOne of my Favorite Podcasts!I redownloaded apple podcasts on my phone so I could give this rating for yall. I truly love this podcast, I especially appreciate that there aren’t any ads in the episodes so I can put this podcast on while working out or showering and not have to reach for my phone in the middle of my stuff to skip an ad. Alec and Paul have a great rapport. I’ve been following Team APS for a while, I think about two years now. I like how they discuss things rationally even if they have strong opinions about something. It’s nice to hear just honest talk about Yugioh and other tcg/entertainment properties and not have to worry about someone yelling in the middle of the podcast. Love you guys, love your work, keep it up! Pass turn :3

AlexandiferA better Yu-Gi-Oh product than most stuff Konami puts outI’ve been following Paul for over a decade now, and watching he and Alec grow and develop as presenters makes me feel like a proud family member. This show feels like a culmination of all their growth and experience. These two will tell you what you need to know about Yu-Gi-Oh without it feeling dry or overwhelming, which are pitfalls many other shows have fallen victim to. They keep things light and digestible, and eliminate the likelihood of Yu-Gi-Oh fatigue by delving into their other interests as well. Each podcast feels like you’re catching up with the boys, and these guys should be very proud of the product they’ve put together.
-
maklds2425Amazing keep it up !I love the APS channel … I watch your YouTube videos all the time … I watched podcast episode on YouTube can’t wait to catch the next on here … all the love from Egypt “ aka inventors of duel monster at least according to the anime 🤣🤣”
-
SwordsoulSuckerAwesomeLove these guys. they cover all sort of card game news (not justYuGiOh) and make it so interesting and fun. Definitely recommend Team APS due to the simple fact that they break a lot of what's going on in a way i can understand and bring up ideas I never even thought of. keep up the amazing work guys.
-
Babymaas16Everything I’ve wanted! This podcast is everything I’ve been looking for! I watch Team APS and have always loved their content. But I have always wanted more! Then this podcast came along! I love hearing their opinions and it’s like talking to friends about a game we all know and love!
-
Tri.P.A.I’m disappointedI’m disappointed with how your podcast is so good i can’t watch other people’s content anymore. i did 1 star because i wanted your attention but you’re 5 stars in my heart. you guys are awesome and are the only yugioh content i can stand to watch. I appreciate how I can tell you guys just love the game and don’t feel the need to scream and yell just to try and be interesting. Your knowledge and enthusiasm for yugioh and card games in general bleed through into your content and i imagine making these videos is easy as pie. I remember seeing you guys when i was collecting when i was a lot younger but since i learned how to actually play the game this last year I now am able to truly appreciate it. Keep it up fellas.

Nexo100Massive thumps upGreat podcast for yugioh, very expressive and passion on the card game, not just yugioh but other card games, video game, etc. keep up the good work can’t wait to listen to more of this in the near future.
-
leave a 5 star review!!MY FAVORITE PODCASTI’ve only just got back into yugioh in 2022 when master duel came out and I wasn’t caught up with any yugioh knowledge until I found this podcast. I listen in every week at work and it makes time fly so much faster. I love the fun and honesty you two have about the subjects you talk about. Thank you for making such an authentic and entertaining podcast for everyone to enjoy🔥
-
Kaitai 7Possibly favorite podcastI’ve gotten back into the habit of listening to podcasts within the last year or so and, this just slots right into my regular rotation. While this is primarily a Yu-Gi-Oh! focused podcast, I appreciate hearing stories related to other TCGs, and broader topics. These feel like the types of topics I’d hear discussion on in my card shop. Keep up the good work, and stay well.
-
jcinco5555555Awesome!!Great podcast! Not only focused on Yugi-oh… but they also cover all the nerd gossip in the TCG-metaverse
-
fragbomb36My favorite TCG/casual podcast. This pod is very fun and casual. The guys are easy to follow and cover a wide range of topics.
-
DonkeySaltCasual, Friendly, Nerdy, FunI’ve always enjoyed their friendly & informed opinions on Yu-Gi-Oh, as well as their reactions to current events in TCG/OCG. Lately they’ve branched out to include news and their own experiences with other card games such as Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, and Digimon, and I’m really excited. Magic has always been my number one card game since the 90s, so hearing a newcomer’s perspective who also happens to know a lot about card game mechanics and markets is interesting. Learning about the changes in other games helps me keep up with my friends who play those. They will also have more guests soon! Great podcast!
-
JosephofthebandGreat podcastThis is one of my favorite podcasts. Just enjoyable, interesting and worth a listen even weeks late.
-
PokeBrolicGreat showGreat to listen to when I get the EZ 2-0 at locals
-
Purposefully.artMy favorite podcastEvery Thursday I can’t wait to listen to this podcast, it has the perfect mix of topics I’m interested in. I find both of their commentary insightful and engaging. Their humor takes me by surprise at times in the best of ways. Couldn’t be better! Pass turn :)
-
chuy1061Great TCG and nerd culture discussions and honest takes!I have been listening/watching the podcast since day one and each episode keeps getting better! Paul and Alec make great content and are not afraid to be brutally honest. The podcast is more of a discussion with a friend that they turned into a podcast vs something that is scripted. The podcast isn’t just about one topic and they explore a lot of different areas and other TCGs. Please keep this going and keep up the awesome podcast!!
-
irongiantDYugioh & nerd culture goodnessEasy listening to these guys talk about everything and anything tcg and gaming related. I regularly listen on YouTube but wanted to come here and rate them just incase anyone is thinking about listening to this podcast. I’m probably more of a yugi-boomer, But still find myself keeping up with meta for yugioh and other card games of the like. Listening to these guys feels like listening to some people in my friend group just shoot the breeze about a game that is widely popular around the world. Keep up the great work Paul & Alec. Much love to the entire team aps squad.
-
Noah's GhostFun, accessible, and informativeGreat pod from some knowledgeable and pleasant people. I’m not a tcg player but I love that the conversations are totally accessible and welcoming without the need for background research. I can’t wait to see where this goes. Also sub to their YouTube channels, everything these guys are putting out is quality.
