I love Pete. I listen to other podcasts to hear him. But i don’t regularly listen to this one because Fortuna is just terrible. He is on an ND podcast and doesn’t like ND - it’s so obvious. Tonight he said “Penn State is deeper, more talented and more physical”. REALLY? ND is down to second and third stringers at a bunch of positions and still won!!! My goodness. Stupid statements like that make this nearly impossible to listen to. And i won’t be unless it’s after a great win and I’m just looking for content. Thanks Pete!! Lose Fortuna dude.

I’m not an ND fan but these two are very good, knowledgeable, pleasant, and non “homers”. They aren’t like the OSU podcast groups I’ve heard where they seem very biased. I will say (my opinions) as a USC fan and grad who woefully regrets the irresponsible hiring of Lincoln Riley that I think your 6 year deal to Freeman might be premature. I credit him for getting the Irish back on track after NIU but you guys have no signature wins this year. What top 25 team have the Irish beaten and yet they are rewarding Freeman (two sketchy seasons prior) with a huge contract extension. No top 25 wins. If he loses to IU (a possibility) then what have you got? I predict Freeman will be like Wittingham, Karl Dorrell, and Lincoln Riley. A mistake! I hope I’m wrong for your sakes. You guys have a very good show. PS: I was at the Anthony Davis game in 74’. 55-24 at the Colisseum. I remember Terry Hanratty!

Pete and Matt continue to provide excellent and objective analysis. Their chemistry makes for an enjoyable podcast. Also want to welcome Matt back and wish him all the best as he recovers.

This is a stand out among Notre Dame podcasts due to the quality of the hosts’ reporting, guests, and command of the narratives. However, I’m compelled to write to disagree with the assertion on November 23, 2024 episode that the shamrock series should be played more often in New York. Getting into Yankee Stadium for the game was an unmitigated disaster of the kind I wouldn’t wish on a Michigan fan. It was pure chaos and not the kind college football fans root for. It was a thousand times worse than the MetLife game and I say that as a New Yorker who hates crossing the river. Maybe they could try Citi Field but if ND ever returns to Yankee Stadium I would consider it an insult to the fan base.

This is a must listen podcast if you are a Notre Dame fan. Fantastic, unbiased insight coupled with great guests.

It would be a totally fine podcast if it were just Sampson talking Notre Dame football but I just can’t bring myself to listen to Fortuna anymore. No one speaks with more certainty and less knowledge about the game of football in the Notre Dame ecosystem.

Love this podcast! Keeps me engaged in all things ND football and more. Good coverage as well as fun anecdotes of practices or press conferences.

Guys you’re very informative and have good chemistry. Fun podcast to listen to. But what’s up with the artwork? You look like you’ve spent the last 40 years in Chernobyl. Get some normal color in your photos for goodness sakes :) Keep up the good work!

Love the content. Some of the best around. Matt's constant sniffing this season (every 10-15 seconds in the last pod) is incredibly distracting.

Love the content but what is with the constant sniffing?!? Maybe I just never noticed before, but for most episodes in the second half of the year, there is really loud (and really distracting) sniffing every 10-15 seconds. The Stanford post-game episode has been. By far the worst. It makes it really hard to listen.

Matt’s new habit of deep breaths between sentences sounds like a 5 year old with constant sniffling in a quiet library. 5 star to 2 star.

I love you guys but your audio engineering is trash. Not muting your mics for coughs, sniffles, and kids was the last straw for me. Will be getting ND content elsewhere.

The only Podcast on ND Football I listen to (aside from The Athletic’s Shamrock). Tuna and Pete are the best duo in the biz, with great insight and personality. Love the guests they bring on. Pete and Matt clearly work hard to bring us the best coverage of ND. Cheers guys!

Pere Sampson does a wonderful job. Don't understand why Matt F covers ND football. He is some freaking negative. Loves to say something positive but follow up with negative. All he does is name drop!

This is the highest praise I can give: Pete and Matt make Sunday yard work tolerable.

Great combination of looking on the bright side of ND football and being a fan of the team while being realistic on the weaknesses of the squad. Look forward to their game recaps every week.

The combination of Notre Dame content from Pete and Matt’s national perspective is a winning formula!

This is the best ND pod out there as far as I’m concerned. It covers everything about the program to include a small bit of recruiting. However, the real draw are the hosts. Matt and Pete are great together and they embody the best of “never to high, never to low.” They sky might be falling but Pete can assure you that things will get better or where the pathway to get better is and Matt will provide a bit more of that traditional Domer “the sky really is falling” attitude which works well with Pete. I always look forward to both casts every week during the season and don’t want to do another ND season without them!
