    Absolute best podcast on politics
Greg Sargent is an excellent host. He’s knowledgeable and he asks question that are relevant and sincere. This definitely is my favorite podcast on the DSR network, and it is one of my favorites of all the political podcasts.

    Awesome
It’s amazing to have a succinct and daily hit of information every day. I don’t know how Greg Sargent does it but it’s always smart, always insightful, always independent.

why don’t all reporters corporate or independent demand trump prove it! Also if reporters corporate and independent can’t keep up with the flood of trump and his maggots lies ask us to help. Ask progressives in your audience to help. We can do the grunt work. All of you put out a call for volunteer help, I would volunteer, just ask for help because we rely on the press TI keep up, you have to. corporate news has the budget to cover everything but they are too afraid of trump to do so. you independent guys are awesome so let us help you as it is important to not thoroughly cover trump’s constant lies, missteps & more!

This show is great but for the love of god would you please get rid of that grating awful intro music!

    Divisivenesses
It’s time to put aside all the hate, anger and craziness on both sides. We need to come together as a country of 2 parties. Put aside our differences and meet each other half way and concentrate on how we are all the same!

Thank you for your great interview skills
One of the great aspects of this pod is that the host has already thought through what areas of discussion that he wants to talk about but then lets the guests really shine with their expertise . So informative and thought provoking.

    Blasts of Hope
Thank you for your weekday blasts of hope, not wishful thinking. If there is a corner of these dark times of MAGA threats where we can see a way out, then Glenn Sargent is sure to spot it and bring it to us weekday mornings.

    Son
I have a son who hasn’t spoken to me in forever. I never talk about politics to him because it is useless to do so. Ever since Trump has been running, the last 4 or 5 years, he hasn’t gone out of his way to contact me. When we do speak, at the end of our conversation, he starts screaming about Trump and about how wrong I am. It is sad the media has promoted Trump brainwashing our families! Sarah

    Sargent Has Important POV
I miss reading Greg’s column but love listening to the new podcast. His perspective is under-represented in the media. He’s still honing his on-air interviewing, but Terri Gross wasn’t polished year 1 either. lol

    Nice but…
you need new music—too harsh and grating.

Please stop bringing on old reactionary relics like Carville
You’re a supposed “progressive” outlet. Carville thinks women shouldn’t be too mouthy and that old white men are the groups you need to worry about most. He blames all the Democratic failures on the “woke left”, but fails to see his own complicity in the erosion of support from working class. NAFTA, siding with corporations and so on. But like most old white men, they can’t be wrong.

    August 19th show
Really enjoyed this informative breakdown on the voting trends in the battleground states. Would love to see you invite Ed Luce and Mike Madrid on to discuss Mr Luce’s article in the Financial Times on 8/18 regarding the Hispanic vote in Pennsylvania. I live in MD and had no idea that the city of Reading, PA is now 70% Hispanic. Seems like a huge voting bloc available with correct messaging.

    Great “deviation”!
Love the podcast every day but the 2 August episode was especially good. Really loved your so-called “deviation” into Stuart’s early motivations, which was fascinating and enlightening.

    Kamala Harris’s name.
Say it correctly Greg Sargent! Long A not short! You should know better!

    Disappointing Interview
I was disappointed in the negativity about VP Harris in today’s show with Elaina Plott Calabro. Greg’s multiple uses of the phrase “She’s not . . . “ rather than phrasing his concerns in a positive way just gives fuel to Republicans. The bulk of the interview was on what the VP can’t do and the President’s lack of care in mentoring her. Yes, the reporter traveled with the VP, but she assumes she knows everything about the VP and how the country views her. Wrong!! I hope you have a guest who can counter all this negativity, or you will just be giving the Republican’s more for their campaign. I can see headlines now from them, “Harris’s Biographer Showcases VP’s Inadequacies.” Do better, Greg!

    Reliably unenlightening rant
This is a set of reliably unenlightening rants in which Sargent lays out a long-winded question that frames his argument on an issue then asks his guest, essentially, “Don’t you agree?” Guaranteed to be a waste of time.

    very smart!
always smart, insightful, thoughtful and unique. 10/10.
  • SalaryGal
    Host lacks credibility
Greg T. Sargent blocked me on Twitter for replying to his retweet of another political commentator with a mention of Joe Biden’s involvement in the genocide of Palestinians. How can he have any credibility as a political commentator if his go-to move is to block dissent? (And my comment was not a criticism of him, his show, or the person he retweeted. I simply brought up Biden’s Israel policy under a tweet about his fitness for reelection.) No one should take Sargent seriously as a journalist or as a person open to exploring a range of viewpoints.

Paul Krugman and Greg Sargent are clueless.
Paul Krugman and Greg Sargent are absolutely clueless on how to talk to or about people who are suffering prolonged unemployment.

    Excellent Podcast All Around!
This Podcast is a treasure, and it’s often the first thing I listen to weekday mornings. Highly recommended!
  • RaySue1981
    Trump
Satan, devil, liar, bankrupt multiple times. Rapist, convicted. Birth control removal, no abortion, but not willing to put your money where your mouth is, no real news, horrible policy choices for normal people, but good for the rest riche
  • DrDK2
    Strong and Succinct
The Daily Blast brings an insightful discussion to important issues. The discussion with Senator Whitehouse about lack of accountability for the Supreme Court was depressing. But it plainly showed the ongoing obstruction by Republicans to any transparency regarding the corruption of the right wing Supreme Court.
  • Cats feet
    Opening music too abrasive
    Love the content though.

    Love the show!
Great show for daily listening! Good topics and guests, and Greg is a good interviewer. I do have to skip over the opening music because it’s just so harsh on the ears in the morning.

    Democrats bible code
Christians that vote Blue 💙 This is the reason why I’m changing my VOTE to ❤️ SATAN’S name spelled in Hebrew שנט has a numerical value number of 359. Also the word Democrat in Hebrew דמוקרט has the same numerical value as the word Satan 359 in Hebrew numerics. If you don’t believe me, I challenge you to look it up.

    Very poor production quality
I tried to listen to some recent episodes but the production quality is so poor that it’s an unpleasant experience regardless of how interesting the content is. The audio is low quality, the volume of the speakers is all at different volumes, and the ads are startlingly loud and randomly cut into the podcast. Wish it wasn’t so but it’s unlistenable.

    My new favorite pod!
Greg is doing amazing work. His interview format with fantastic guests and 20-25 min snackable episodes is awesome!

Another partisan podcast claiming to be independent
Well if you need yet another mainstream media podcast that espouses Democratic Party talking points than this podcast is for you. Full of Trump derangement syndrome it offers nothing new to the political discourse or to help heal our divided nation. Blue no matter who neoliberals cloaked as progressives- sad.

    More of Greg Sargent
Greg Sargent is simply one of the best journalists anywhere. His work is focused on truth & transparency in service of democracy, it doesn’t get more important than that. This podcast opens up an important new platform for sharing his critical work, & the work of his guests, out into the public square.
  • Not one of those Karens!
One of my new daily favorites!
I was so sad to hear that Greg Sargent was leaving the Washington Post but turns out it was a great move. Now I get to hear him have conversations about relevant topics with people who know what they’re talking about and I will definitely listen daily!
