Consuelo Mack has a long and distinguished career in business journalism. In 2005 she struck out on her own to launch her dream program, a weekly half-hour program on public television devoted to helping Americans build and protect their wealth over the long-term. Now in its eighteenth season, CONSUELO MACK WEALTHTRACK has been dubbed the “Cramer Antidote” by the press and Money Magazine named Mack “The Best Money TV Host.” WEALTHTRACK is the only program on television devoted to long-term diversified investing in all of the investments people care about.

    Really?
The necessity of adding advertising is understandable. The necessity of advertising being twice the volume of the podcast is not. It is offensive
  • SRcycles
    Consistently substantial
Consuelo Mack is a terrific interviewer who provides context for each interviewee. She gets to key issues and skillfully probes potential downsides to ideas as well as clarifying each guest’s assumptions. Consistently excellent.

    Listening since the beginning
I have never ceased listening to WT since its inception. From my perspective, it is the continuation of a genre created by Louis Rukeyser’s Wall Street Week…investing advice for the everyman. Direct from the source. A selection of men and women who you entrust with your savings to (hopefully) insure some degree of financial comfort in your later years. More sponsors should step up to support the show. With you all along, Consuelo. Thanks!

    Fix the sound balancing
The content is generally very good, the sound quality for Consuelo is not. It feels like her guests are in a proper studio and she’s talking to them on her cell phone which is propped into a red solo cup.

    Beware
The bottom line is the lower the fees the more you make as the fund increases in value. Do not forget that you can get 5-6 individual stocks to supplement. A company that meets your needs and grows.

Technical Problem: James Grant episode is incomplete
Love WealthTrack, but this week (Feb 26,2021) the James Grant interview is incomplete. Both the podcast on the Apple App Store and the audio on the WealthTrack website are only 16 seconds long.

    BIGTIME FAN
Excellent show, best on finance. Adult, serious, insightful and always useful and informed valuable information. In fact, more useful as an investing aid than the WSJ and NYT. But please don’t have guests (such as 2/14/20 show) who is a manager who consistently underperforms their market. They sound super intelligent ....but what’s the point if they always underperform? (Even when market is down!)

    Best information for individual investors
Consuelo Mack has been hosting this valuable, informative program for decades - taking over from the legendary Louis Rukeyser who originated Wall St Week on PBS. Wealthtrack offers sophisticated advice in easy-to-understand terms for the individual investor - novice and experienced alike. Very highly recommended! Thanks to sponsors, Consuelo and production team.

    Top 5 financial podcast
Love the podcast. Wish it was longer

    Great podcast, BUT....
I like the podcast and the guests are great, but please let them speak. Too many interruptions while guests are speaking.

    Great interview
Great interview with Rich Bernstein. I like the way Rich distilled big themes into actionable ideas - to be in “anti income” given rising inflation. Consuelo does a fantastic job keeping the discussion moving forward and asking great qs / counter points!

Fantastic Podcast. Informative, interesting and entertaining. Five Stars.
  • Scott479
Top notch podcast host and guests
If you grew up with Louis and WSW you'll appreciate the quality of the show. Consuelo Mack is short on fluff, but goes long on substance, macro views and actionable insights for her listeners.
  • Jumbalika
    Very insightful
The show does a great job of selecting guests with tremendous experience in their fields. The questions are sufficiently broad and intelligently phrased. The conversations focus on the concerns of long term investors compared to other related shows that don't.
  • Kaiser Soso
    quick-paced, good quality
Consuelo does a great job of directing the show. Guests are organized and informative, having solid records in their areas of expertise. Everyone is biased, as it isn't a history class, it's a show about projections and forecasting. I find the show's pace and sound quality to be easy on the ears.

    A beacon
In a vast, polluted sea of financial journalism, WealthTrack is a beacon. The guests are top-notch: accomplished investors who are also thoughtful observers of markets and history. I love the selection of contrarians like Berkowitz and Romick. This show is one of my very few sources of market commentary.
  • csolberg9
    Best financial journalist out there
Consuelo Mack is the real deal. Her show is not theater, but real news. By viewing the show's discussions, I'm on top of what the experts are thinking. This show has been the most important piece of my personal investment strategy.

    Great Podcast
I never miss this podcast. Very interesting guests and very good information.

Only place that consistently interviews value fund managers...
David Dreman, Ron Muhlenkamp, Bruce Berkowitz and David Winters have all been interviewed, some multiple times, on wealthtrack. A lot of other stuff on the program is chaff, but there is indeed some wheat to be had here.
  • Eggygal
Great Discussions, occasional shameless pumping by guests
Consuelo Mack is smart and interesting. The program usually has a good quick pace. Sometimes guests pump mutual funds which they run with high loads (e.g., 5.75%) without large disclaimers appearing at the same time. Beware of the imbedded ads.
