    More Woke than Tech
This podcast is increasingly focused on Tech’s influence on cultural topics from a woke perspective than on a review and explanation of technology. When the show is on a particular topic, it can be excellent.

    Do your own homework
Look, the fact is, this gentleman does a great job of explaining aspects of technology that the average person simply doesn’t understand. These guys are the hosts you will miss when they are gone.

    Musk Derangement Syndrome with ads
This guy has a serious case of Cain and Abel every time he mentions a Musk company, which is frequently. Hey buddy, if you know so much about tech and you have to mention the multiple successful companies Elon is involved in, go do a startup yourself. But that’s what the reviewer / critic / expert is. Incapable of anything but pointing the finger and opining on how they would do things differently. Between the Elon Opines are constant ads for air fresheners and laundry detergents.

    Stop with the politics
All he talks about is politics, and he does that biased. Just get a new host

Good podcast….. except for the fact it’s basically propaganda
I’m a long time listener and think this dude does a really good job with podcasting. Great writer. That being said, I caution anyone who values unbiased news. While he tries to convince you he is unpartisan, I see a growing trend in this show of exaggerating news that portrays conservatives in a negative way and the outright absence of world news that could show left leaning politicians and public figures negatively. While I understand there is no promise by the host that he is non partisan, I enjoy hearing non partisan news and I wish he would stop eluding to being unbiased. It’s dishonest and infantilizing. I have to assume the biased reporting is because he’s scared for his job. I get it. I’ll keep listening because I can see through it.

    Haters Gonna Hate…
I think Jonathan is a fine host who comes up with interesting topics and goes in-depth, to the appropriate amount, and makes the facts interesting. While it’s not a big production show, it’s not supposed to be. I enjoy it for the information and the clarity of presentation, not necessarily the flash, sound effects and/or additional hosts.

Where are all the episodes since 2008?

    Google AI description
The phrasing is very telling, immediate unsubscribe and never listen again. Dishonest framing of the actual issue to match ideological narrative doesn’t belong in tech and is why the Gemini issue even got to production.

    Good primers
A little surface level analysis but well done show nonetheless

    Soooo many ads
I love the show but, the amount of ads in all iHeartRadio podcasts is getting ridiculous. Ever since iHeart acquired the former howstuffworks family of podcasts they have steadily increased the ad breaks from 2ish minutes to up to 8 minutes. 8 MINUTES OF ADS! My finger is getting tired from tapping skip so many times.

    Needs a new host
Needs to be called Political Stuff. Between the constant ads I got tired of the host’s political opinions which all come off as extremely left wing. It would be nice to get through an episode where he keeps on topic about actual tech. I listen to all the other How Stuff Works podcasts and they don’t have this problem.

Sounds like HBO’s “How To with John Wilson”
This guy sounds just like John Wilson on HBO but with content focusing on Tech… I love it.
  • Topcatbaby
    Left wing trash!
This is a tech show, but the host never misses a chance to take a shot at Trump, Republicans, or hard working Americans that vote differently than him. If that’s your cup of tea, your at the right spot.
  • Vincebenj
The politics is too much in a tech show.
Would be a great show but I just wish the host would leave his opinions on politics out of the show. It’s a tech show if I wanted politics there are approximately 4 billion other podcasts for that. JS definitely needs to lay off what HE thinks and get to the news… JS you are not Elon nor anywhere close to his wealth and status. You do not deal with what he deals with just report the news. The sighs and jealousy really puts me off. It’s not only Elon but our wealthy people.

Used to be good then he got political
This show used to be great but now the host is just obsessed with bashing Elon Musk (literally ever tech news episode) and taking shots at republicans while pushing liberal agendas. Dude said he was gonna stop using twitter because of Musk but he sure as heck is still tweeting. Stop talking politics and leave your personal feelings out of the show. I want tech news, not your biased half-baked opinion on politics.
  • Hullo08
    Could be good, but…
At this point, most everything on this podcast is news about tesla failures, cryptocurrency, spacex rockets blowing up, AI problems, hacking, and a bunch of rerun episodes. So if you like news, this is for you. The older episodes are actually pretty good however.

    Unfocused, Biased, Tons of Ads
There’s some decent content in the show but it’s very mixed and random. Sometimes it’s an episode about tech breakthroughs or intriguing tech issues, other times it’s an entire episode about what a CPU is, or abandoned products from a brand, or amusement park rides... It’s unfocused, so you’ll likely only be interested in about 25% of episodes. And none of the tech discussion is particularly deep or well-researched. He likes to go deep into history, but that’s about it. Worse, every other episode contains a hit-piece about Elon Musk or his companies. Dude’s completely obsessed with Musk and hates him, to an irrational degree. Particularly irksome is how he soaks up anti-Tesla propaganda like a sponge, and drenches his audience in it, with no critical thought or fact-checking applied. It’s pathetic and disgusting. Finally, the density of ads is quite frustrating. The ad breaks are frequent and 3 minutes long, so it’s not something you can just endure, you have to get out your phone and skip through it. They also have nothing to do with theme of the show. Overall, more frustrating and disappointing than it’s worth.
  • dffjunk
    Too many commercials
This podcast now has way too many commercials for every "quick break" as defined by the host! Have moved on to other technology podcasts as a result.
  • Slaughlinjr
Tech News is more Opinion than News
Jonathan has an axe to grind against most Tech CEO's and it shows in the twice weekly Tech News.
  • j10023
Lots of ads, not much said
Lots of ads and fluff. Could really use a co-host, some guests, and a great editor. Ads are excessive, compared to other podcasts, and often feel completely irrelevant.
  • jdjdhdjsydhenrhid
    Good show
It’s funny they put a discover robocall stopping ad in an ad about robocalls
  • papabev
    Politically correct
Too busy worrying about not offending people. It kills the otherwise useful information. Ate the liberal pill who cares about facts when you have an agenda to push.

    A Review of "TechStuff"
I had found certain parts of what I had believed to had been a certain installment of this "TechStuff" ("Tech News: The Death of G4TV (Again)") had been unnecessary, unprofessional, and detrimental (especially toward parts of it I had found to had been informative (or "OK")). (descriptions of the parts mentioned near the beginning of this review: certain language I had found to had been unobjective (or opinionated) and certain language I had found to had been unpleasant ("How the tech are you")
  • Telesophic
    Gi-normous library of shows
This show has done it all, twice over, in some cases. Everything tech. Everything history of tech (incredibly useful and insightful there). If you like tech it is a must have podcast.

    Only one problem with...
Elon Musk. Starlinx space clutter is a space exploration dilemma. Thousands of satellites will lead to millions or billions of space debris

    TechStuff is a must-listen!🙌🏻
It’s obvious Jonathan puts extraordinary effort in covering salient topics and finding guests that are authentic and truly care about being a positive force in tech - the insights they bring to bear are still mind-blowing every. single. time.

    Lay off the Elon/Tesla hate
Great podcast when Strickland can stick to the tech and avoid politics. He tends to overextend his openly admitted hate on Tesla and Elon (both of which are *leaders* in tech) and it’s highly unbecoming. One way or another Strickland has to admit that there are a lot of supporters in tech for people like Elon and his trailblazing business ventures. Strickland’s personal biases and views detract from the podcasts to the point where I feel compelled to write this review and unsubscribe :(

One of the best Tech podcast out there!
Love this podcast. The host gets right to the bottom of tech issues in a simple, easy to understand format.

    Know your audience?
Host acts like he’s talking to a bunch of elementary school children. It’s very annoying. Excessively redundant. AND at least 25% of the podcast is ads.
  • TShaneRogers
    Advertising overload
This would be a decent podcast without the ads, but it’s borderline unlistenable due to constant promo spots. Unsubscribed.

    A favorite
Well-researched, thorough, and easy to understand, even when difficult concepts. As a chemical engineering grad student, I’ve used this podcast for the past several years throughout school to expand on & compliment what I learn in school. I also enjoy Tech News a lot, and I like Jonathan’s punny self. Thank you for entertaining, teaching, and inspiring.

    Please stop doing tech news
Move this over to its own podcast

    Wonderful podcast!
This is a great podcast and I have been listening for since it has begun. Only thing is the topic of tech sometimes wavers. Other than that it’s amazing.
  • Csmith.mtb
Likes to use liberal tropes too often
While the show has decent to good information about tech, the host likes to use liberal tropes too often. Example, when comparing money issues related to workers vs company, the host uses the company's stock valuation instead revenue or net profits in order may the difference more dramatic. Stock valuation of many companies, especially if start ups, rarely should be used in comparison of an expense, like workers wages.
  • NikolaiGranakov
    *excellent*
Thoroughly enjoyable. I recommend this pod to anyone with even the slightest interest in tech. Complex concepts are explained in a cogent, compressed manner, and made easily understandable. That not an easy task to pull off as a communicator.
  • Vieda Boss
    Great show
That review about the puns...Keep the puns you’re doing great! Very informative and awesome
  • TechStuff review
    Please no more puns!
The episodes are very interesting but Jonathan enough with the puns!
  • Blueberry Fathead
    Nothing but ads
The ads are so horrible and horrific on this podcast that I am legit not always sure how far I need to skip multiple times during episodes, I got over 4 minutes into one podcast thinking it was still all ads. Not worth your time.

    It turned woke
I have been listening for years. But it turned hard left. I signed for a tech podcast. If I wanted politics I would have subscribed to a political podcast. Democrats will love it.
  • AJfuture
    Former technophobe
I started a new job a few years ago that required I tackle my tech ignorance/avoidance and I started listening to this podcast around the same time. I’ve learned a lot while I wash dishes and do laundry, thanks! Enjoying the new and more frequent releases of episodes. I listen to every single one.

    Tech with a leftist view
I liseted to he since his the first episode like he voice and humour. Alway knew of his liberal leanings. But like most leftist he unable to hide his biased.
  • Icpkorn
    Politics
I thought this was a tech podcast? If I wanted politics, I’d listen to a political podcast
