    It’s About Time!
It’s about time I get off my bum and give Barb and Tracie the accolades they deserve! I love their podcast and have listened to them for years. Their interaction is more than mother/daughter. You can tell they truly like each other and are friends! 😉 They have great commentary and banter and I always love to hear what they are knitting and reading (and watching). Give them a listen and you will be hooked!

    Podcast review
I like the podcast but the narrators talk over each other much of the time.Daughter talks over the Mom all the time. Podcasts aren’t just conversations, they need to be mindful of their voices going over each other all the time. Content is good.

    New listener—love the show
I’ve been knitting a long time but never thought about knitting podcasts. Whoa, I was missing something. These two are so organized that they leave excellent episode notes so the listener can click on a link to see the pattern in Ravelry or the yarn they are using as they talk about their projects. They are candid and honest about when a pattern doesn’t work for them and why. And they are friendly and easy going but they don’t mess around and usually get right to the interesting stuff like what’s on their needles, what are they thinking of making next, shows they will be attending and if that’s not enough at the end they include what they’ve been reading with a synopsis of each book and their personal rating. So delighted I found you.

Like listening to friends who read more than I do!
I love listening to Barb and Tracie. Great mother-daughter team who are so enjoyable, knowledgeable and fun to listen to. They are always knitting something interesting and reading something interesting. Like listening to friends talk at knitting group or eavesdropping on some really interesting people. 😉 They do charity KALS every year and are just all around good people. Never miss an episode!

    Great podcast
This is one of the few knitting podcasts that I continue to listen to. The combo of knitting and books is great. I love the relationship between Tracy and Barb. The last couple of recent episodes there has been some ice clinking and chewing coming across which is unusual but unpleasant to listen to. Sorry ladies! ❤️

    good knitting and book chat
I can count on informative and interesting episodes from the 2 Knit Lit Chicks. I’m always amazed at the number of Mother Bears that they have finished. Our reading interests don’t always align, which means I get introduced to books and authors I might not otherwise try. I enjoy the descriptions of the books and what they liked/disliked so I can better decide whether to give a book a try.

    Still Listening
I started listening to this podcast years ago for the book talk, which I really enjoy. The knitting content is varied and interesting. The social/political commentary is not for me. If that is a concern for you, you can usually skip the last 5-10 minutes and you’ll be fine. Be an adult about it, agree to disagree if you must. Don’t miss out on making some new podcast friends - I am so glad to be a listener, and I think you will be too.

    Knitty and witty
I love this podcast so much. I get tons of ideas for knitting patterns and books to read from their recommendations and I absolutely love their views on the world. I’m happy to hear your politics (even if others complain! Haha!)

    Great podcast!!
I love this podcast. The combination of knitting and books hits my 2 favorite things! Tracie and Barb are very entertaining and I wait for new episodes to come out. If you like to knit and/or read you will love this.

    Virtual friends
I don’t understand the critics of their banter and “talking over each other”. To me, this feels like sitting at a table and listening to them! Haha. I hate shows that sound pre-written/rehearsed. Love these ladies.... even though I hate hearing anyone’s political opinions (no matter if we have the same views or not).... let’s just talk yarn and books! 🥰

    Good company
Love listening to the knitting and the book insights from this mother/daughter team.

A knitting podcast with a twist
I’m an avid knitter and reader so I love that your podcast covers both in an intelligent and thoughtful way. In case you need any recommendations - you might like reading “The Lost Man” by Jane Harper. Another recent read I enjoyed was “Hillbilly Elegy”.

Must listen for knitters and people who love reading
I have been listening to this podcast for several years now. I love it and look forward to listening. Their descriptions of their knitting make me want to look up the patterns and yarns and I am keeping a list of books to read now too. I am also amazed and encouraged by the mother-daughter relationship portrayed in their podcast. What wonderful people!

    Look forward to new episodes!
I look forward to new episodes and usually listen immediately. At first, I didn’t listen to the book reviews, but now I’ve taken many of their recommendations. Thank you, Barb and Tracie for sharing your time with us!

    Gracious Hostesses
Tracie and Barb create a wonderful entertaining podcast about knitting and books. The sound quality is always good. Both are seasoned knitters who share their expertise and love of knitting. They are warm and welcoming and very gracious hostesses. It is a pleasure to listen to this lovely and loving mother and daughter duo. Give them a try.

    Like having friends over
Began listening before COVID. For the past year listening has been like visiting with some friends. Love checking out their knitting choices.

Don’t want to listen to political opinions
This mother and daughter team seem like nice people. I liked hearing about yarn, patterns and books. I stopped listening 9 months ago because too often their political opinions would come up during episodes. Today I thought, politics in the country have changed, I’ll give them another try. Within the first 5 minutes politics came up twice. I don’t think they get it.

    Review
I’ve listed from Episode 1 and this remains one of my favorite podcasts. I’ve never “taken a break” from Barb and Tracy. You’ll be happy if you give them a listen.
  • Kbfoley
    Sprinkle of politics
Sorry I had to miss a recent episode because of politics. Did enjoy your podcast without politics.
  • Whyterose7
    Too political
I listen to knitting podcasts for knitting content, not politics. It doesn’t matter to me what ones political beliefs are, I just don’t care to hear about them in my knitting podcasts. I unsubscribed after just a few minutes of hearing their political rants.
  • Emivine
    Too political
I wish they would stick to knitting topics... you know a topic that unites us not divides us... love the knitting parts of the podcast hate the politics. I finally unsubscribed because in their last episode they went off the rails talking about one sided political conspiracy theories.

    Hard to listen
You interrupt each other and repeat what the other said like magpies. Not prepared for episodes. Hard to get through. I keep trying.

    A Virtual Family
I continue to catch up with Tracie and Barb every couple of weeks thanks to their commitment to creating regular episodes. Most recently they have taken on the project of asking all of their listeners' personal questions. I've enjoyed learning more about them as they have tucked us into their little family chat. Great job, Barb and Tracie.

    A Knitting Gem
I sure enjoy this podcast. I may not always agree with their book reviews, but I always want to hear more. I also appreciate their generosity to charities and their "approachable-ness." They are just darn nice!

    Thank you!
I love listening to this podcast. Even though at the moment, the Chicks are recording remotely, you would never know. In fact, I feel like I’m sitting right there with them, discussing my quarantine uniform, followed by talking about knits and books. Love these ladies!

    All my favorite things...
...in one podcast! Knitting, reading, talking about knitting and reading—all the good stuff! Plus, Barb and Tracy are so warm and welcoming, listening feels like hanging out with friends. This is a feel-good, comforting podcast, and I really look forward to each new episode. Thanks for years of happy listening and knitting!

Love to listen in the car
Although I listen while I’m driving, so no yarn work I thoroughly enjoy the podcast. Love to get the great tips on my next read. I’m a beginner crocheter and appreciate they often provide links to crochet alternatives

    The best podcast ever!!!
I love listening to both of them and I think they’re the best podcast that I’ve ever listened to. They’re #1 on my list. I also love the books that they recommend, because I also listen to audiobooks while I’m knitting. I hope they never stop creating their podcasts. 👏🤗!!!

    Delightful mother-daughter relationship
Barb and Tracy are so cute together; listening to them makes me want to call my mom. Love to listen to them while I knit.

    Awesome Team!
Barb and Tracie are so much fun to listen to. . . sometimes they finish each other's sentences, sometimes they don't! Both are delightful, talented, knitters and podcasters! They share many projects, yarns, information on retreats, and several charity knitting opportunities. They love to read and I really enjoy their book recommendations! I always need a paper and pencil nearby - and since I don’t thank heavens for show notes! Well done!

    Knitting, Books and Mother/Daughter/Friends
A podcast about knitting and books by a mother/daughter duo with an easy rapport. They speak intelligently and often amusingly about their knitting and reading, both of which are varied and interesting. I like the way they organize the flow of this biweekly podcast and they have excellent show notes - so if you're listening in the car you can easily look up that pattern or book later.

    Great book suggestions!
I initially started listening about a year ago when looking for knitting podcasts, and have found that I look forward the most to this one every month. Tracy and Barb have great insight not only on knitting but their book discussions have resulted in me finding great new podcasts and books to listen to while knitting. They are very funny and insightful as well.

    Great podcast
I really enjoy your podcast. I usually listen to it while I’m working. Thank you all the great book reviews too. Happy knitting ladies.

A great podcast to knit with
I am always happy when I see a new episode of 2 Knit Lit Chicks drop. Barb and Tracie have a great mother/daughter rapport and they clearly enjoy each other’s company. In their podcast, they share candidly about their knitting successes and learning opportunities. They foster a community where everyone is welcome. Tracie and Barb are encouraging ringleaders of several KALs focusing on learning new skills like color work, tackling bigger projects like sweaters and spreading cheer by making Mother Bears. Furthermore, they read a wide assortment of books and candidly share their thoughts. Many of their reviewed books jump into my queue. I hope they continue to podcast for a long, long time.

    Lovely knitting podcast
This is a mother/daughter knitting/reading podcast. It is so enjoyable and I listen routinely. Production quality is great.

    Love it
I love this podcast because Tracie and Barb have great discussions together. I'm an avid knitter and while I don't read nearly as much as they do - my goodness how do they get through so many books so fast - I do enjoy reading. I find their book reviews to be interesting and have even read a few from their recommendations. They also turned me on to Goodreads which I now use to catalog all my reading (thank you ladies!!). For the most part they stick to knitting and books. On occasion they'll discuss good or bad things that have happened in their lives or they might touch briefly on a current event or situation but if that's not your thing, you can always fast forward as the focus does generally tend to be knittnig and books. :-) <3 you ladies and keep up the good work! --Josh from Des Moines, IA - KnitterJoshDSM on Ravelry

I look forward to this one
I try to save 2 Knit Lit Chicks for boring tasks like the dishes because they always keep me entertained.

    Great podcast
I enjoy this podcast each and every week. The knitting info, book info and thumbs up and thumbs down are great. The podcast notes are well done and helpful to me. I like the conversations that are not knitting as well, I find it helpful to learn information I may have not known before, and then I can make my own decision on the topic. Great job ladies!
