King of FrostThe first moments in a resurrection are gruesomeThis show is more over than SR4, first episode in months and it’s a “hey guys here’s just the work I did in a fluff book”. But wait for the special section at the end where I explain everything. Look, I respect you as a content creator, but I can’t listen to a 5 min pity party followed up by 2 mins of virtue signaling, for a “people are mean online” explanation. I hope your son is well and looking into all the aspects of transitioning. I hope Shadowrun can be sold to a company capable of successfully running the brand. And I hope through all your “hard adversity”, you find time to mature and stop reacting like a stunted preteen

J. HubbardThe Flagship Shadowrun PodcastRight now, this is THE flagship podcast. The Actual Play is engaging and they do a good job of making the 6th World setting come alive. The talk show is full of interesting information about the game and all things related to it. It's wiz, chummer. Slot this and run.
-
O-DigenousGreat Actual PlayOne of the longest running Shadowrun podcasts and deep characters keep the show going strong! Always want to see what happens next, so much going on with this runner team
-
wsocratesBest shadowrun podcastBest shadowrun podcast. Learned so much about shadowrun and about other shadowrun podcast.
-
AnotherPodcastFanExcellent resource and actual playIf you want to get into Shadowrun as a player or GM, this podcast is an excellent resource. Mr Johnson is a fantastic GM with a devious mind.

The Reader 8000An Example to All Other PodcastsThis podcast is a truly great example, not just for Shadowrun podcasts, but for actual-play podcasts as a whole. Its players are respectful, dedicated, professional, and compelling, while still feeling like real people. The stories are incredibly well-planned, while still allowing for and adapting to improvisation. There was a session-and-a-half segment dedicated solely to relationship drama, which was more genuinely compelling and interesting than the climactic scenes of several other podcasts. I truly can not recommend The Arcology highly enough.

No date for meAwesome materialI recently discovered some of the Shadowrun podcasts, and really enjoy the variety of material on the Arcology Podcast. They covered Atlanta, which is local to me, and have given me many ideas for a home game. They've also talked about Neo-Tokyo for the SR:M season 9, and generally the podcast presents interesting and well-informed material in an organized way. Thanks guys, you got a subscriber!

Silver GrizzlyAn amazing podcastSorry I took this long to write a review but this podcast is amazing. The actual plays, the interviews and the rules shows. Amazing I have been listening since episode three and have loved to see the show grow and the hosts grow. Amazing people and awesome show. Give it a go.

JenrynthMy favorite Shadowrun PodcastThis is my favorite Shadowrun informational & actual play podcast. It is informative regarding lore & game mechanics. The actual play is usually quite entertaining.
-
Mace club5 stars on the actual play alone!I have never played shadowrun before well besides the old Sega game. And caught this one a random search. And I’m glad I did the tales of Maverick and the gang has been epic to say the least. Crunchy system seems so easy with Mr Johnson running it. Great stuff and fun 👍👍
-
Midget Snowmanreally captures the feel of shadowrunA great show both for advice and lore and also the hilarity of watching gangers get destroyed by a rank 8 fire spirit.
-
GarbanzoEnthusiastI started playing tabletop RPGs because of the Actual Play.I haven't listened to many of the standard episodes, so I may not be the proper target for them, but I'm completely hooked on the AP. Fantastic all around.
-
Kev in MarylandA roadmaster full of info and ideasA great podcast with information , advice and an actual play(s) to boot. As someone just getting back into SR again, I have found this very helpful. Kudos to the dynamic duo of Mr Johnson and Vox. Keep up the great work !
-
chrisg40kOne of the best rpg podcast out there. And it has Uncle MaverickThis is probably the premier Shadowrun Actual Play podcast and also has episodes on the world and gameplay in general. And of course there is Maverick. :D <3

Beefcake361Great showGreat Story driven actual play and informative regular episodes!
-
SkredlitheOgreMy favorite actual play podcastI love Shadowrun and have for a long time. I was happy to find this podcast, because not only are the players fun to listen to, but Mr. Johnson keeps the reins firm on the group, so there's not too much out-of-game talk. Either that or his editing is amazing. Or both! The missions are always interesting and occasionally bizzare (hello, deep runs), but the players always keep things moving forward. The characters are an odd mix, but somehow, it works. I was super glad to start listening when they were already many, many episodes deep on the actual play, so I could listen on drives or at work. Now, I have to wait for the next week to get the newest episode, which is a wonderful problem to have.
-
darklamentGamer for years but new to ShadowrunI gotta say, folks - this is a great podcast. Each episode is the perfect length for my ride home from work. For years I’ve wanted to play SR & you all have given my the edge to run it - THANX :)

Miguel NolascoMost Useful Shadowrun Resource to dateI have put off writing a review for Arcology, because I was too busy listening to all of their material. From A to Z, Vox and Mr Johnson's combined knowledge of play, mechanics, and story and literature shines in their material. Though mistakes with the material have been made within the podcast (normal or Actual-Play) they listen to their audience and are the first to recognize when they make errors or say something apocryphal and will gladly fix their problems in a later 'cast. Their Crunch experience is helpful to people who are running games or starting groups or just wanting to gain a better understanding of the system, and their enthusiasm for the system helps immensely. For entertainment value outside of Crunch, we have the Actual play, which shines among other podcasters as a crown Jewel for Shadowrun. Their world in-game is alive and thriving. It is one that grows leaps and bounds as much due to the Gamemaster as to their players. The cast is marvelous, and everyone plays their type well, whether they are in character, or just shooting-the-breeze like good friends should. The Arcology Podcast is well worth the 100+ episodes of both the Podcast and the Actual Play. They are 200% responsible for my interest in this wonderful system and I can not thank them enough for their hard work!

"Freefall"Where to learn about Shadowrun! This is the the one podcast that I always stay caught up on! Mr. J and Vox are great hosts and the post-production is top notch. I've been a GM for years and TAP has elevated my game. I love the product reviews, rules discussions, and most of all, the actual play. Keep up the great work!
-
RainbowSmiteShadowrun from all the angles!Vox and Mr Johnson have a truly wiz podcast going on here, chummers. Interviews with the Shadowrun game writers/developers/contributers (I can't think of the right word...), actual play episodes, product reviews AND tips and tricks for your own Shadowrun game? Frag yes they've got it! And it's good stuff too. It doesn't matter if you're new to Shadowrun or a long time veteran, this podcast has something for everyone.
-
Heavy MichaelGenre DefiningA long running actual play Shadowrun Podcast mixed with informational episodes, this 'cast is not only an entertaining listen it has actually grown the Shadowrun Podcast community by supporting new and returning voices. This Cyperpunk/Fantasy podcast is always my "first listen" whenever a new episode drops. No matter whatever else was in play gets shunt error aborted until I hear the dulcet tones of Mr. Johnson and the sultry laugh of Vox. Maverick, Kenji, Swarm, and Haze are all entertaining engaged players. The setting I have loved and played for 24 years, these lovely people bring the dismal distopian future to vibrant life.
-
J3LewisVery much enjoyedI was very happy to find a shadow run actual play podcast and even happier to listen. These guys know their craft and perform very well. Get well soon tiny. Tell the great catsby I said hello.
-
The Father MappleWelcome to the ArcologyThese guys are the information fire hose of Shadowrun. I really appreciate their GM focused tips, critter corners, and the various slices of life they deal with for the 6th world. If you like Shadowrun, for any reason (fluff, gaming, setting, novels, whatever!) they got at least 20 episodes you need to listen to.
-
JLaughter001Very fun Actual PlayWhile I have never played Shadowrun, I did play a lot of Cyberpunk back in the day. The Actual Play series that the Arcology publishes is very entertaining, full of interesting players, characters, and gritty futuristic magical criminal hijinx! Highly recommend.
-
Towns TVChanged the way I play.As a recent 'Runner convert I have found this podcast immensely helpful and entertaining. The hosts are easy to listen to and really help breakdown parts of a run as well as give fantastic tips. Can't say enough good things and I haven't even gotten half way through their archives.
-
AllandarosExcellent RPG PodcastOne of the best Shadowrun resources available for GMs and players alike. Excellent, engaging commentary on gameplay, scenario design, and system mechanics. Vox and Mr. Johnson, the two show hosts, have an excellent audio presence and keep the show cracking along. The podcast also includes an Actual Play component that's vibrant and exciting. I normally *hate* listening to Actual Plays, but I'm addicted to this one. If you're interested in the Shadowrun setting at all, you want to be listening to the Arcology.
-
RobbyRHarrisJrGreat podcast for a newcomer to the Shadowrun worldAfter many years of collecting books I finally have a chance to play Shadowrun. I wanted to roll a Decker, even though I heard it was a tough role to fill. This podcast has been a huge help, both the regular and Actual Play episodes. Sound quality is great, and it has a pro feel. Keep it up, thanks!
-
Burntsoul1987An excellent podcast!I've been listening to this podcast for a little while now, and it is thoroughly excellent! It's probably the main reason I started playing shadowrun
-
Aaron D SchmidtI learned so much about SR 5I learned so much about SR 5 that my first two SR games I felt like I could just step right in after a 25 year break from role playing.
-
Everything Is GeekyExcellent starting point for new Shadowrun playersVery solid podcast, in the first four epixodes the hosts lay the groundwork for anyone unfamiliar with the world of Shadowrun to get a grasp of the game. I highly recommend this and the Neo-Anarchist Podcast for anyone interested in starting Shadowrun or who is introducing new players to the game.
-
JasonandHeatherStaffordTotally Wiz!Very happy with this podcast. Ive missed running the shadows for a long time now and this podcast brought me happily back to the dirt and grit of that wonderful genre. Keep up the great work!

AnimatedBeaverRequired listening for Shadowrunners! This is one of the best and most comprehensive podcasts the Shadowrun community has going for it right now. They offer great breakdowns of the game with your average standard-episode focusing on one single theme -- Whether a gameplay element, an aspect of the setting, a character type, a newly-released product-- And they handle that theme with a great balance of crunch-detail and broad-scope musings to be inviting to veterans and newcomers alike. I haven't been able to play a Shadowrun campaign for a couple of years now, but when I do get the chance I feel like I'll be a better player for having listened to this series. They're also highly aware of other Shadowrun podcasts, mentioning updates and frequently pulling them together as well as reaching out to listeners to foster the community. The Actual-Play episodes are a lot of fun too (and again, educational in their own way in showing how the mechanics work)! Recording quality is solid, the hosts have a great chemistry and seem like good people, the content is on-point, and they offer even more for those who chip in to the Patreon fund! Give it a listen!
-
FfvjudcGreat Actual Play podcastThe only actual play podcast for Shadowrun that I listen to. I tried the other ones, but none of them measure up to the quality of this one. Great job, Vox and Mr. Johnson.
-
shadowrun chapwarm and lovingI have been a fan of these two since pretty much ep one can honestly say they kicked off and inspired their fellow podcasters to do what they do the only way it could get any better is if I could chain them to their desks so as to make more actual plays AND THEY DID ONE ON MY BIRTHDAY much love!
-
Ans3lBest shadow run podcast out thereI've recently gotten into shadowrun, and this podcast makes it pretty easy to understand. Plus, on top of breaking down the aspects of the game, they also do Actual Play episodes, where you can hear a real game being played. I wish them the best of luck, and many, many more podcasts!
-
Paxx221Premium time sinkIf you are into Shadowrun or interested in playing. This is currently the premier podcast. Great audio most of the time, great content all of the time. Great attitude towards the game. While I may not agree with their take on a couple of things. They have always been informative and entertaining. However they are open about other takes when they are made aware of them.
-
FumplemanA well put together Shadowrun Resource!Really enjoying your pod cast! Great topics and insights! Thanks!
-

Eric da MAJWiz Gaming PodcastThis is an über fun, high quality gaming podcast. The hosts are a husband and wife team that do an excellent job presenting background info on one of the best RPGs there is: Shadowrun. Interspaced are some slick actual play games. If you don't like RPGs, why are you even here? And if you do, subscribe!

Eggroll20xd6A Great Shadowrun Podcast!I will start my review with a disclaimer. I have never played the tabletop version of Shadowrun, only the SNES game and Shadowrun Returns game for the PC/iOS. I never really had an interest in Shadowrun until I recently played the Shadowrun: Crossfire boardgame. After that I looked up podcasts on the history of Shadowrun and the Arcology Podcast was one of the top two to show up. I gave the show a chance and it has not only helped me understand the world of Shadowrun, but makes me want to really get invested in the tabletop game as well. The two hosts, Vox and Mr. Johnson, are a great team as both are not only passionate about the game itself, but give great advice on gameplay from a player and GM/DM point of view. They talk about all things Shadowrun, but mainly stick to the tabletop game. Recently, they have begun an actual play version of the podcast which I have not heard at the time of this review. However, if it is as good as the rest of the show has been, this is a podcast worth listening to whether you are a long-time Shadowrun fan or have a mild curiosity. They always welcome questions from the audience and enjoy sharing stories from their own sessions as well as the community. Do yourself a favor and download it already as well as some of the others that they recommend.

Hunter776Shadowrun made simplerThe two hosts of this show, Vox and Mr. Johnson, have an easy manner which makes them very enjoyable to listen to. They show a great understanding of the underlying strategies and fun of the Shadowrun RPG, and listening to their podcast gives a ton of great tips towards succeeding at 5th ed. The sound is great, they have professional voices, but they still sound like people you’d love to game with.
-
OctosinkGreat podcast and actual playI love this podcast’s actual play episodes. It’s a great group of people, the sound quality is good, and terrific examples of the 5th edition rules being used. The podcast topics range from helping flesh out characters to house rules and topics not fully covered in the books, along with house rules. Definitely recommend this podcast for beginning and experienced Shadowrun players and enthusiasts!
-
LemmykinsExcellent show for new Shadowrun players and Game MastersI am fairly new to the Shadowrun universe and have to say it has been a delight listening to this podcast. Being a longtime gamer and GM, I am finding the information and subject matter very useful as I prepare to run my first SR game.
-
HandsomeBaldManGeneral discussion & an Actual PlayLove this podcast. New episodes regularly. Enjoy the actual play. If you like Shadowrun and Podcasts this is for you.
-
Zaran BlackLove this podcast!Shadowrun has always been a complicated rpg. The Arcology podcast really helps break things down and their advice is sound for both newbies and vets.
-
'Wailer'Great podcast about all things Shadowrun!I highly recommend this Podcast! Vox and Mr. Johnson show a great love of the game and execute their podcast with a great deal of professionalism and joy. The interviews with the various game designers serve to display the high regard with which The Arcology is held within the Shadowrun community.
-
BaronAtomyPaydata and PlayfulnessVox and Mr. Johnson have made something great, here. No, they're not always 'right' the first time on rules issues, but they're very good at correcting themselves. It's a great, approachable podcast with rules and flavor insight that'll be usefull to Shadowrun Players/GMs at all levels of experience and involvement, and adds a lot to the community. If you want a good resource to get the conversations going on rules or come up with some great adventure design, I can't recommend it enough. Besides, if you can't trust Mr. Johnson, who can you trust?
-
The ZatmanGreat shadowrun podcastI'm prepping a Shadowrun 5E campaign for my group and this podcast has been a great resource. Highly recommend!
