SJGoochFun and informativeI recently watched through Lois and Clark and was hoping to find a rewatch podcast to accompany my viewing. This podcast went through the show years ago, but it’s still felt relevant and fun so I can enjoy the viewing with others asynchronously. Highly recommend! And once I finish working through this series, I’ll probably follow other shows and movies they’ve also rewatched over the last several years. Thanks for the great work and research y’all do!

Mindy 1222Another Hit for Golden Spiral MediaI've listened to several Golden Spiral Media podcasts over the years because they are high-quality podcasts offering great entertainment and information. Rewatch covers TV series and film franchises. Smart, fun discussions about the good (Star Trek movies) and not so good (Police Academy movies, IMHO) make this the go-to podcast for revisiting past movies/TV.

prindle6460Awesome showI've been with the guys at the rewatch podcast for years now- came for Sliders, stayed for Lois and Clark and now the Flash. Cory, Tom and Nathan put a ton of time and effort into the pod and it shows. I really appreciate all the hard work and I'm looking forward to the (quantum) leap to the next series! I would easily recommend this podcast to anyone looking to experience some of the 90's nostalgia.

Shamus "RiderJetfire" KelleyYou're Gonna Love RewatchingThe Rewatch Podcast is nothing short of brilliant. Tom and Cory really know their stuff on Sliders and have put together a fantastic package about everyones favorite inter dimensional heroes, Sliders. You may be reading this review and wondering if this podcast is worth your time. Are these guys worth devoting over an hour to every week? Yes and yes. If you have any love for Sliders this podcast will not only entertain but make you think back on the episodes with a new eye. A lot of Sliders is fairly bad but these guys make even the worst episodes worth rewatching. Just download the whole run, sit back, and get to sliding. Unless you're a blistering idiot. Then this podcast probably isn't for you. Keep on rocking guys!

NiDyJoHanging with FriendsThis podcast is a lighthearted review of a favorite television show. I like that the show has structure but still manages to maintain a level of informality. Anyone listening gets the impression of hanging out with friends to relive old times.

i-reactionA superb podcastAs a SLIDERS obsessive who can bring absolutely any conversation back to talking about SLIDERS, the Sliders Rewatch podcast is a delight and a pleasure. It has two extremely capable hosts, Tom and Cory, who have distinct voices, terrific diction and bounce off each other marvellously with their points and counterpoints. They analyze each episode with either gleeful joy at excellence or gentle amusement at incompetence -- and SLIDERS as a TV show was filled with incompetence for the vast majority of its run. The Sliders Rewatch's strongest asset is its structure, organization and professional sound quality. The voice recording is crisp and clear due to Tom and Cory apparently using professional-grade recording equipment. The editing is sharp, always removing dead-air or irrelevant statements, and the podcast always unfolds in a well-considered and well-arranged fashion. Tom and Cory introduce the SLIDERS episode of discussion and provide a plot overview via a combination of sound clips and a short summary. They then discuss behind-the-scenes trivia, usually deleted scenes for which script pages are available or other details of the production. They then review the episode, sometimes agreeing, sometimes disagreeing. After that are some comedic snippets of an episode where clips of amusing lines or exchanges are played, and then the process repeats again for a subsequent episode. After two episodes have been examined, Tom and Cory share selections of newsgroup discussions that took place after the episodes aired as well as recent messages from their listeners. It is an effective format for analyzing SLIDERS, providing both a summary, a sample of the story's tone, a discussion of the story's strengths and weaknesses and a sense of how the fanbase reacted. The relentless precision and organization on display is the Sliders Rewatch's greatest asset, although Tom and Cory wisely liven up the proceedings now and then with special segments. These include Tom and Cory performing deleted scenes as the Sliders, musical performances and other charming surprises. However, the focused and structured nature of this podcast can also be its greatest -- well, I wouldn't call it a weakness. The Sliders Rewatch is an extremely professional piece of work. But there isn't a great deal of banter between Tom and Cory and while they are effective podcast partners, the strict editing prevents them from having too much rapport or chemistry between them. They're superb debaters, but they don't come off as friends -- likely because the more causal, naturalistic parts of their discussions are always trimmed or removed entirely. This is largely why, while the Sliders Rewatch is the best representation of an analytical podcast, the other SLIDERS podcast, the Sliderscast series, has a niche of its own. The Sliderscast is the antithesis of Sliders Rewatch. Sliderscast is lightly edited and largely unstructured, consisting of two SLIDERS fans, Jim Ford and Dan Kurtzke, conversing about SLIDERS episodes in an extemporaneous and unplanned fashion. The Sliders Rewatch is the equivalent of a network news report on SLIDERS; polished, refined, painstakingly designed and meticulously calculated. Sliderscast is the equivalent of sitting at a restaurant with your friends and listening to them talk about your favourite (but frequently terrible) TV series. Neither are competing; both podcasts review the same show but with completely different means and priorities. SLIDERS fans are lucky to have both.
