Movie copAudio quality had gotten progressively worseI love this show, but the production quality is getting sloppier and sloppier. It’s not pleasant to listen to and long car rides make this unbearable.

Rhoid of ArabiaA Passion for Hunting and a Passion for TestingOne of the best Podcasts HDP of 2023. Enjoyed hearing of Alberto and his brother’s journey to and success at the Invitational. Inspiring!

john beebeGreat podcast!Awesome podcast and great supporter of the Houndsmen of America! You did an incredible interview with my dad (David Beebe) a few years ago about coon hunting!

AmandaAugYay!! Kleine Munsterlander episode!Love the hunting stories and guest’s on the show. Perfect for those long trips in the truck! Im a member of KlM-GNA and I really enjoyed listening to the latest episode with Bobbe Carney! I think this is the first podcast I’ve heard of (which I’ve listened to a lot) that thoroughly talked about the Kleine Munsterlander! Love it!! Thank you so much, Ron!

hdhsjsjejdjdQuality content from a quality hostRon provides valuable content from his years of experience hunting over, with, and meeting a variety of breeds used for a variety of types of hunting strategy’s. He does great at getting common hunting breed episodes while at the same time not forgetting many of the less common breeds. Ron interviews hunters and trainers with a varying level of experience and can often give multiple different views on certain subjects. Ron seems very personable and helpful regarding different methods and often shares success and failures he’s witnessed to help listeners become better hunters/trainers themselves. I like that Ron seems so personable due to sharing tid bits, plans and such from his personal life/personal hunting plans so much that I often look forward hearing updates from him. I was so sorry to hear about taffy (Ron’s young cocker spaniel) but proud that Ron was able to cope with the set back and move forward in a positive way. Ron, I hope I run into you some day in the grouse woods buddy!

Montana111111111BHA The worst thing for the hunting and outdoor community everBHA is toxic…… and they stand and partner with everything that goes against what we love yet you suckers keep taking them in.

benelli1996CRNot impressed with the Brittany episode I have Brittany and hunted over them for 14 years . She explained them how she has trained and what she thinks is right. My 30 pounder will run with hers all day long and be the first up to go the next morning.

SmuzakLove the podcastI never miss this one. I have learned so much and the guests are great. Keep it up!

1234!$!amandaIs Ron a misogynist?Ron talks this week (3/15) about a confrontation he had last weekend, but you have to be a paying member to get to hear about it. I was there so I don’t need his take on it. I will say Ron was repeatedly asked to stop calling women “girls”, but based off of the “love you guys and girls” comment directly after speaking about the “confrontation” I’d say the lesson on how to not sound like a misogynist didn’t stick. If you are a Women in the bird dog hunting world, I suggest you find someone who has more respect for you than this dude and listen to their work instead!

LjgmooreAppreciation postThanks for all the work that goes into this podcast. Your podcast not only motivated me to get my first bird dog(German shorthair pointer) and getting him trained but to pick up hunting in general. Loved your episodes on meat eater and hope your wire haired vizsla is coming along well! Just heard your episode about social media critics! Forget about them! I’m sure they have bootlicker dogs with half the natural instinct of old Bravo! Keep up the good work!

MisterPistolPete2Ego driven hostUsed to be a nice, humorous and informative podcast about upland hunting and bird dogs. Now it seems that it’s mostly a drunk guy with an over inflated ego cherry picking feedback to lash out at his “haters.” He’ll say he has no ego and then spend 20 minutes calling out dozens of people by name for disagreeing with him? If thats not ironic, I don’t know what is. If you’re still interested, listen to the old stuff, much better.
-
DoglawyerGarbageI lost any respect I might have had left when he went on a drunken rant calling a handler he had judged out by name, made fun of her and her dog, and made sexist ignorant comments to boot. Now instead of owning up, he’s doubled down and made a whole episode reading justifiable comments made 6 months ago in response. Man up and own up to what you did and move on!

Mountaindogs TT&SInsulting and unsportsmanlikeSad when a sportsman and host just insults both new and experienced peers in the field and doubles down instead of simply apologizing. Very disappointing podcast. Do not recommend.
-
bmisticThanksGreat podcast Ron just want to say thanks
-
upland2.0More trainersSometime the show has good guest but I skip most episodes because of the content. I would like to see more trainings, navdha episodes, and q&a episodes.
-
condiTracherJan 16The podcast is all about content…..I always learn something new. On your Jan. 16th…..loved how your guest Bob talked about wanting to wander off when hunting with other people. If I can, I love to just follow my dogs too!!
-

Jsodo57Good job RonGreat show.
-
busy guy from minnesotaI love the podcast!I love the guests and the stories! Ron is so relatable that it’s like hanging out with an old buddy! The only thing I’d add is a few lighter flicks to compliment the cracking of cans during the intro music for the haters 😆 Keep up the good work
-
Long Range Rimfire 84Excellent ContentI enjoy this podcast. May dogs are not hunting dogs but listening to this show has helped me provide them with better nutrition. Purina is all my dogs eat now and never turn there noses up at it. Keep up the good work.
-
chansbargerAwesomeReally enjoy listening to this podcast. My favorite part is hearing Ron light cigarettes and open beers!

EarlieWineMy First PodcastWith a name like the Hunting Dog Podcast this was a natural for me. I started listening shortly after Ron started the podcast a few years ago and I still throughly enjoy the subject matter and the host. My only complaint is the ridiculously long sponsors intro and lately a recap of the sponsors at the end of the show. This is the only podcast of the dozen or so that I listen to that I routinely skip past the intro. I don’t mind a few commercials to listen to an enjoyable and free podcast but 12 to 15 minutes is just too much.
-
looselipssinkboats2021Pheasant ScatPlease don’t name specific public areas. The chaos of shot raining down on trucks and other hunters is not helping your cause. If sharing a few fields with hundreds of hunters is so fun please come join. I like what you do but dang guys there’s a reason no one else names spots.
-
Luke VandenBrinkGreat podcastLove Ron and hearing wonderful hunting stories! Have also learned a ton as a new dog trainer and upland hunter.

GrouseMisserWealth of KnowledgeAs a first time gun dog owner with a 4 month old Weimaraner, I am grateful for all the content and information that THDP has provided so far. Looking forward to listening to the entire backlog of episodes! Thanks Ron!
-
padave69AwesomeI suggest skip through the first 20- 40 minute infomercial and the rest is so-so. I wish it was like the first two years. Fortunately there’s other podcasts available.
-
DrahtHuntercoVersatile hunting dog episodeReally enjoyed the episode but cannot figure out why the VDD/JGV-USA test systems/breeding programs were not not brought up at all... NAVHDA is VDD/JGV-USA without blood tracking or work on fur.... NAVHDA should be called North American upland and waterfowl hunting dog association.

TrucklessYooperIt’s free stop complainingYou know, people who complain about free entertainment live in a princess world. They would be the folks who complain about free food being boring, free money not being enough, etc etc. you get what you pay for folks. Free is free. On that note I still enjoy the podcast despite the low quality, because Ron is a blue collar regular fella. His nose isn’t stuck so far up In the air like other bird doggers I know. Ron keep up the good work. Your podcast is enjoyable to people. I don’t even hunt birds over a dog and I still enjoy listening.

Brice NaylorGreat information, and very much appreciate the passion for habitat organizationsRon has very knowledgeable guests on this podcast, and he does a great job getting great information out of them. I am very, very appreciative, also, of the passion Ron has shown for driving membership to conservation organizations such as Ruffed Grouse Society, Pheasants Forever, etc. I have been motivated to renew my memberships in those organizations by listening to this podcast. We are in a huge uphill battle to not only sustain game bird habitat where it currently exists, but also to try and bring it back in places like my home state of Ohio. Many people say it cannot be done. It certainly cannot with that attitude

gunman calThe hunting dog podcastLook forward to the new episode every week! One of my favorites! Love it!! Keep up the great work!
-
DDyn01Slow DownDude talks too fast and spends half the show selling sponsors stuff. If you love bird dogs and bird hunting it’s better than nothing. Justin Mcgrail gives good advice, listen when he is on.
-
CaravaggistoOne of the Best Hunting Podcasts Out ThereOne of my favorite podcasts to listen to. Some podcasts are good on conveying info, but tend to drag. This isn’t one of them. Ron keeps it entertaining! If you are into upland hunting, this one is for you.
-
Montgomery JGreat contentGreat content
-
commodore markGreat Guests and Interesting TopicsI thoroughly enjoy listening to this podcast. It’s a bit raw at times but almost always interesting. The host, Ron, is a good conversationalist. His occasional off-color language, stories, genuine curiosity and self-effacing humor make the show feel like you’re sitting talking to a new hunting buddy. Although the podcast is 100% entertaining, I have learned a lot from Ron’s guests. I look forward to every episode. Highly recommended.
-
Opizarro1Awesome!Great show Ron! I've learned a lot listeining to the podcast. I just finished listening to the episode with Ryan Callaghan and his labradors and loved it. Keep up the good work.
-
Klappy803Ratings would go up...Love the show but I’m just not a pointer guy yet. I love the content, Ron is hilarious I could use him as my neighbor! If there was an improvement to be made it would be to include a little more flushing content.
-
Stevox707FantasticKeep up the great work! Looking forward to all your future podcasts!

Tweb15Needs better soundRon man. You have an amazing show and have been doing it forever. I used to love it but my goodness buddy. Sound quality is terrible! It doesn’t take much to upgrade!!
-
Dustin1970440rtDrinking on the microphoneLove the show but stop drinking a drink on a open mic. It is very annoying.
-
VicRush10Good content, bad productionThe content is typically pretty good and enjoyable for a gundog enthusiast, but Ron, it kills me to listen to you puffing a cigarette and grunting and sipping your beer into the mic. Grinds my nerves. Good content in the podcast otherwise.
-
Chukar JohnBird dogs foreverKeep up the good work. I love it all.
-
Keklik_OneSkip to minute 15 or maybe 20I really enjoy listening to his NAVHDA focused episodes. A little too much low brow humor and his intros are way too long!
-
mermaid1404My favorite podcast, hands down.Ron’s podcast is always entertaining and has great content to all hunters and not just gun dog owners! Truly one of my favorite, if not my favorite podcast.
