    It’s okay
If I wanted to listen to a political podcast, I would pick a political podcast. I like the podcast when they focus on the show and not their political views.

    Best handmaids tale podcast
I love having a group of diverse women recapping the show. We get all the different opinions and intricate thoughts on the show! I like they have some knowledge of the book and how it compares. I do agree race should definitely have been touched on in this show at least acknowledged and I hadn’t thought about that before. Thank you for opening my eyes to new perspectives. Makes me feel like I’m hanging out with my friends talking about all the deep levels of this show! Much love!!!

NO personal/political/race statements needed! STICK TO THE SHOW LADIES!
Realizing as I get further into the seasons that the ladies are making the Handmaids podcast more/more about race. Why?? This is PERSONAL opinion and has NOTHING to do w/show review! Also not appreciate the personal comments abt “#45 or “that one”. The only thing I would change is the sound level on the opening/commercial ads/closing; it’s sev times louder than the ladies/podcasts do extremely jarring-especially if listening while falling asleep.PLEASE fix sound level and you will completely earn my 5-star rating

Hosts are constantly criticizing the show 😕
I don't need an unrelenting love fest but if you have more critisim than praise or at least neutral discussion... Please recap something else. And find people who are into the show to lead this podcast.

Why review a show when you don’t like it?
I tried a couple different episodes, but none of the hosts seem to like this show very much. If you don’t like a show, why bother? If you want to listen to an hour of people complaining, this is the podcast for you.

    Hosts would rather be elsewhere
I listened to a few episodes I liked at the beginning of season 3, but now it feels like they’re rushing to finish and just want to recap the show and get out of there.

    s3 losing steam
Seasons 1 & 2 had good coverage and insight, with discussion of the book as well. Season 3 it seems like the hosts hate the show, and that they haven’t done much research.

    Fallen from grace
This has really gone downhill over the last season or so. The cast of this podcast is so much worse this season than in the previous seasons. The male cohost is especially poor. It used to be one of my favorite Handmaid's podcasts. Sad.

    To loud and annoying
Know the show before you do a podcast. Could only listen for half hour. Awful Ps. Have never left a review anywhere.

Unintelligent conversation about an intelligent show
I like to listen to recaps by people who love the show they watch. These recaps sound forced and they are bored of their own conversation

    Okay we get it
I love the recap, there’s a lot of topics love the show and like that someone else catches things I missed but I am over the complaining every week that there is not enough racism every single week...we get it so go right for the show and taking small jabs at border issues and trump it’s done very childish like let me insert this comment and move forward like I didn’t say it . Then complain that an episode hung a black person, when they hang people of all races. Also to say all black people don’t last on this show and are killed off after a couple episodes isn’t true when Moria and Offmatthew are still around.

    Ladies please!!!!
I love the Handmaid’s Tale and After Buzz but I have to beg the panelists... STOP with the valley girl and the vocal fry. It’s distracting and honestly, hard to take seriously. If you have something thoughtful to say, say it and don’t have it sound like a question.

    Handmaid’s Tale & Resistance!
I am obsessed with Handmaid’s Tale and I somehow only just recently realized that there would be podcasts available, for recaps and discussion. I devoured every podcast on the show I could find and only this one has inspired me to leave a review. What I love about this one: not just a discussion of the episodes, but the fact that the hosts (who are insightful, intelligent) tie it in to real life current events. That’s exactly what I wanted. I’m fired up to keep my daughter’s future free of Gilead. Resist!

    Best when convo is chronological
I was stoked to revisit all the beats of the first 3 eps of season 3 but was disappointed. The discussion has devolved from being a thoughtful analysis of the show (the story arc, acting, symbolism, etc.) to a seemingly disjointed chat about what the panelists liked and didn’t like. I realize that was also a component before but there seemed to be more depth of analysis. My mind was opened to things I didn’t catch the first time around. Plus going chronologically helps me to recall the details of the ep since I typically listen a few days later. I hope they switch it up.

Joelle Monique - best thing about this podcast
Joelle Monique has been missing from too many episodes. Joelle is sharp as hell. Her analysis of plot and characters is brilliant. I find without her there is too much chatter and dull commentary - not everything can be described as “very cool”.
