salmiracleLove this podcast.Love the Campus Files. The hosts voice makes it even better!!! Keep making more.
-
JHB 504The Vocal FryThe vocal fry in the narrator’s voice makes me cringe. The content is great! But man, I keep thinking about the coffee shop scene in Loudermilk.
-
Ashlyn Henley 02Voice dryI love the podcast but the hosts voice sounds edited and unnatural. Besides that the content is cool.
-
step-on-me24Combatting Vocal FryThis podcast is extremely interesting but I was having a hard time listening due to the narrators cadence and vocal fry. I remembered that speeding up the podcast helps! So if you too are having a hard time, try listening on 1.5 and it will sound so so so much better.
-
Mmcgraw3Interesting but narrator’s voice..Content is interesting and well written but the narrator’s voice is so difficult to listen to that I had to stop listening to the podcast all together. Her voice takes me out of the story :(
-
BeejerskillVocal Fry is PainfulI only made it through 5 minutes. Her vocal fry voice ruins what is a great subject.

SimkhaLoved the First Three Seasonsof Gangster Capitalism, but now this Campus Files thing -- what a shame. The narrator's voice is unlisenable. Every sentence takes a downturn at the end. She drawwss out the woorrds. I don't understand how people who produce podcasts fail to recognize that this is an audial medium. Sure, some podcasters also have YouTube videos but I mainly listen to podcasts while working, cleaning, or cooking - I don't watch. I've had to stop a number of podcasts because I just cannot stand to listen to the host's delivery or their voice (with extreme vocal fry). This is one such case. Maybe the podcasters should do some "ear tests" before deciding on a host or something. Margot Gray is unlistenable.

Neodymium TantaluLove MargoMargo’s voice is the best I’ve heard On podcasts.

Avid listener 01ExcellentWell researched and reported. Great listen. So far loved every season.
-
The BoldtsssHost’s VoiceThe content is so interesting, the writing is great. The narrator’s voice is so hard to listen to. I’ve never heard a more annoying podcast host voice. I wasn’t able to finish because I just can’t listen to her.
-
cthrower77Bring back AndrewThe content is great. Interviews are fantastic but Margo has to go. Nothing personal against her but she sounds like that barista from Loudermilk
-
gbtopolinaTerrible vocal fry but love the contentIf you're super annoyed by the classic "tiktok voice", run away!! Margo has a super intense vocal fry, but the content of the pod is pretty good, so I keep listening despite it.
-
MarcymeiravInterestingWell written and interesting! White privilege exposed!!! Wow! Couldn’t stop listening!!!
-
mallhairVoice FryTopics are interesting and would love to listen, but I just can't get past the narrator's intense voice fry. I may try to use Siri to read the transcript as the voice would have inflection and I could concentrate on the content.
-
Shad-daddyLove it!!!!Campus files took me back in time to my days as a college student. Great podcast!

Starwarsfan0807Why is everyone at liberty named Jerry??Do they only hire people named Jerry?
-
BevanwasfooledbydisneyDecent SummaryThe summation of the stories are good material and I appreciate research that was done to make it come together. I have listened to 3 episodes of College Files now. I hope it all comes together somehow. The episode endings are fine, but they leave you with a “ok now what?”. I hope they have an episode on Harvard trying to get PPP money, or Penn firing the person who was working on a covid vaccine and therefore delaying the vaccine by 9 months.
-
Rdelmar32AmazingWhat an awesome show I have stumbled onto. Nice work!
-
PoDad3Campus Files Season 4 👍🏻Incredible - while not hard to believe that this actually happened, it is still a shocking story. Brilliantly told by Margo Gray. Can’t wait for the next episode.

MLH5555555Stories like this need to come outThank you investigative journalism. Strength to the brave woman who came forward. Shame on those who choose to cover this up.

MAC1zxYou all are Rockstars!By bringing to the forefront all the lies, the cheating, the hypocrisy by the subjects of your podcast, you have quickly become beacons of truth and ‘Rockstars for what’s Right!’ The work you all do is so important especially in the current political, social and cultural environment. Keep up the great work! And keep helping America keep her promise of equality for all!

Multi-Dimensional ToolboxExcellent WorkI just binge listened to seasons 1-3. Holy cow. This is a well made series. I connected with season 1 on a personal level due to my indoctrination by school counselors into believing that I wouldn’t amount to anything without a college degree. It ended up being a waste of time and money. Seasons 2-3 are very informative and they explain in depth a piece of our current socio-political climate in a way that I only had partial knowledge of. Keep up the good work. The Jane Doe’s deserve justice. I hope this series continues.

Mexican_FerrariGreat investigative work! All the team did a great job at researching, fact checking and interviewing people. I loved how this ruffled conservative feathers; to which I say: if you don’t like what’s said, don’t provide material for it. Please continue the good job regardless of political inclination, religion or race. What’s wrong is wrong and must be denounced and judged to the full extent of the applicable law. I’d just point out that the editing wasn’t the best; I don’t know if it’s the platform or if the episodes were uploaded and then replaced. There are some of them where the editing job wasn’t good at all, repeating audio that was already included and some cuts weren’t seamlessly done. Also, the volume of audio can improve, the audio recording of the host voice wasn’t good.

emmyef7NeededWhat a needed investigation into Liberty U. How people are comfortable sending their kids there, I will never know. I’m only on episode 4 but am hoping the excessive number of student suicides is also brought up. The fall semester has not even started and they already have one. This institution needs to be exposed and Andrew really did the work. Bravo.

Bman_1602The 1st season hit me hardI’m just about to finish the first season and I gotta say this hit me hard because I was experiencing the same thing senior year of high school. Its crazy to me that everyone out there including me are working like a dog to try to pay for college and to get good grades to get in to the best school when others who don’t lift a finger and can just write a check and their in.
-
RD1GDSeason 1 awesome, Seasons 2&3, however...I agree with what one review said about Season 1 being great. It was. Season 2 was interesting and I hung in through it all. Season 3? You're just attacking conservatives and conservative values. And it's not even veiled. Not once, in my life, have I ever heard Jesus Christ described as the lady did in S3, Ep.8. That is the biggest load of manure I've ever heard!! No one knows for sure what He looked like, but He sure didn't look like a sword wielding Rambo!! I will look forward to your investigation into the Biden crime family, Burisma, The Clintons, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislane Maxwell and BLM. I doubt that'll happen though, we all know the rumors about people who investigate the Clintons.
-
JrkalomThis. This bonus episode focusing around Shannon and her unbelievable journey is incredible. Thank you for devoting the resources to her. It gives me goosebumps. She deserves this acknowledgment and honor. That creepy “investigator “ Morris is a low-life criminal; reminded me of Alex Murdaugh.
-
HeyHeyJudeDidn’t care for Andrew’s style/voiceTried, really tried to enjoy season 3. But it was very difficult to get past the constant barrage of “what Gangster Capitalism discovered….what Gangster Capitalism found….what Gangster Caputalism learned…” I KNOW who is behind the podcast, why the constant name dropping?! It’s inane how much they do this. Additionally, the host speaks like he’s quasi-yelling at you the entire time. I would have preferred almost any of the guests that were interviewed instead. Nonetheless I hung in there. I thought the topic was interesting enough, but didn’t really learn much that was surprising. It’s common knowledge that evangelical families like the Falwells are terribly corrupt, scam artists, and immoral. Christian universities are a joke. The best part of this pod is the end sadly with the victims of assault speaking up. I hope you one day find peace, none of you deserved any of what you went through.
-
COWBOY68First seasonWell done , the first season is by far the best , very interesting , well researched . Season 2 and 3 just seem like partisan hit jobs against Conservative ideals . Why don’t you investigate the Clinton Foundation or BLM money donations ? 4 stars for season one

AlvekoviusOne has to wonderListening to this and the personal stories of the students who were abused, I find myself horrified and angry. You certainly do a remarkable job of digging to the truth. I have to wonder how many listeners who support those like Falwell, Trump, Jimmy Swagert, and all of the other con men will find this story an exaggeration or a just plain false. There are so many who support their own preconceived notions regardless of the evidence. At least Larry Nassau finally went to prison after abusing so many young athletes and after the many complains that were ignored.
-
DrshammasiHighly recommendedEntertaining, fact full. Interviews are with numerous persons who were directly involved at LU. Much effort was put into contacting the people in question with various responses. All well done and added much value to the podcast.
-
williekaremOk, now do Hunter Biden.I’d like to see an investigation on Hunter Biden.
-
GoldieschlagerChurch businesses pay attentionThanks for discussing the Falwell mafia in this show. Incredibly well done season 3. I wish more of the church would listen to this and understand why we are all leaving. It’s a no from us. Religion is a business. Glad someone loudly said so in this format. THANK YOU.
-
blujeloFor Fathers, Brothers, and BoyfriendsMen need to hear these stories, and support these women who have faced these assaults only the be further humiliated by powerful institutions. Hooray for Gangster Capitalism for exposing disingenuous organizations like Liberty U!
-
eac1982Great reporting about hypocrisy at Liberty UniversityI am so thankful for the in depth reporting Gangster Capitalism has done and the voice they have given to these women who were assaulted. Very proud of them for coming forward. I hope there is great reform that happens at LU as a result of this podcast.
-
Vond31Can’t wait for the next showWell made and just a great story telling …
-
SJ BriggsThe horrifying truth behind Liberty UThe coverage of liberty university and it’s shameful history is so tragic for the women and men involved. This podcast did an amazing job shedding light on the horrors inside that world. The writers did a wonderful job of bringing every detail they knew to light while also keeping the listener on track with little details and the timeline. It’s wonderful journalism of a terrible story. Liberty University should question its next moves.
-
Katieh625Very Good! This is very good, in-depth reporting that feels credible. The host is easy to listen to and brings some very important issues to light. Based on the extent of the information, I’m sure these are very time consuming to investigate, organize, and produce, but I hope there will be more seasons to come!
-
MNBreeSeason 1I have only listened to Season 1. I think the parents who bought their kids admissions should have been punished harsher. The schools should not have been allowed to keep the money and should have had significant consequences. But whining about homework for kids is ridiculous. Crappy parenting all around and most of the kids are not victims, they posed for pictures for crying out loud.
-
Love2Listen11Season 3So very proud of the bravery of these women who shared their stories. Bravo on great reporting!
-
KeltcherI like this guy, but…But my god, my grammar god, PLEASE, man, please: It is NEVER between “HE and so-and-so.” It is ALWAYS “between HIM and so-and-so.” Grammar isn’t hard. i’m constantly baffled by writers/journalists who don’t know/show basic grammar. It’s also not a gray area or an opinion: it’s a fact! It is so frustrating.
-
Laura J YoHypocrisy laid bare in Season 3I have told everyone I know who has any interest in religion, American Christianity, higher ed, nonprofits and their regulations, and the damage that can be done when religion and politics become fused, that they simply must listen to every episode of Season 3.
