Biden is on the road to defeat. I’m an older woman who has never been Republican. But Biden’s not listening to Americans anymore. They do not like his genocide against the Palestinian citizens, nearly half children. Now he allows Israel to attach whoever it wants anywhere and he digs his heels in and supports this criminal. Biden is WEAK. Biden is immoral. He is on the way to widening this war. The atrocities in Gaza should never be given the green light by our President. Both these men, Trump and Biden, must go. America doesn’t need a criminal leading the government. I predicted that Trump would win in 2016 and all my friends said “No way!” If Biden keeps his hard heart against the suffering in Gaza, I don’t think he will have enough votes to win.

You can definitely tell Velshi is Canadian educated and his facts and vision is spot on. That doesn’t speak well of American education. Love the “Banned Book Club”.

Despite Ali Velshi's excellent show, I find myself consistently frustrated when listening. Speakers are frequently interrupted by commercials in the middle of a sentence and even a word. Unacceptable! Today was a new one: the show ended in the middle of a speaker making a point. Clearly, whoever edits these episodes just places commercials at a predetermined time without regard to the show itself. This is both unacceptable and unprofessional. I'm thoroughly disgusted.

I’ve watched Ali Velshi on so many different networks over the years and never been disappointed. It is clear he strives to provide quality reporting and discussion. His staff seems equally dedicated. I’m always appreciative of Ali’s ability to present multiple views of complex issues (Mideast, anyone?) that cannot honestly be addressed simplistically. His interviews likewise don’t let anyone of the hook, but his approach is always respectfully direct and calm. Easily one of the best out there.

Too many commercials in todays podcast, but I’d rather listen to more ads than the always smug and preening Ana Marie Cox.

Can’t condemn the 10/7 attack on Israel. Won’t mention rising antisemitism in the US. Performative activism for certain groups only. MSNBC has been a total disappointment lately. I used to enjoy listening to Velshi but as an American Jew this is not for me.

Ali Velshi deserves a Pulitzer for the November 5th episode in particular but for much of his excellent reporting. I am stunned this morning by his brilliant grasp of the facts and his ability to keep his guests on topic. Just awesome!

He should be in jail for his crimes.

I am just going to be straightforward here. Not being mean; these are facts. Whomever is editing this show as an audio podcast apparently is not good at it, and either doesn’t review their work before release or just doesn’t care how awfully cobbled-together the end result is. Ali totally rules. We love him. I am so glad to hear his take on things! But for some reason, this audio version suffers from things such as: 1) Today (and this is far from the first time this has happened): The last 10 minutes you just heard? Well, you’re about to hear it again, because the last 10 minutes has been pasted in again by accident. This happens often. 2) You are going to be listening, and suddenly in the middle of a sentence being spoken by someone, the commercials start. After a couple of those, you get dumped right back into the same place the commercials started. Dear producer, editing hint for you here… just look at the wave form, and check any flat spots. That’s where the silence will be. Not hard. 3) A while after those misplaced commercials, Ali will announce a commercial break and you will listen to 60 seconds of complete silence because there are no commercials there… which will make you wonder if the app stopped, and the second you pick up the phone to see what’s going on, Ali starts again. 4) General stopping and starting fits. It’s just weird. So, dear podcast producer/editor/staff member, please pay attention to what you are doing. Today’s episode was an editing disaster. Which really isn’t surprising. Today is 10/21/2023. How is it that the person releasing this still has their job? Ali is kind of a big deal in the biz. Attention to detail is part of this whole thing. News, ya know?

Why so long to download, it’s Sunday at5pm and I’m still waiting for Saturday, SADNESS Why don’t I get downloaded since last weekend, what is going on It’s Saturday at 6pm east waiting on download , new schedule starting at 10! Why do some podcasts take so long …? Ali Velshi is a fantastic interviewer and uses his considerable intelligence to talk about tough topics and ask some of the questions that many others are too timid to ask. Along with Mehdi Hassan, I believe he is THE best MSNBC host, whether doing his own show or "sitting in" on other host's shows. Also, his Velshi's Banned Book Club is a stroke of genius that is much needed in these "1984-esque" days of certain groups of people/politicians trying to snow the public and push a reality that isn't real at all - especially in the education of our most important resources; our children.

velshi just called the criminal acts of paxton of texas “misadventures” instead of criminal acts! what has happened to velshi? you used to call out crimes for what they are...crimes. we don’t need anymore mainstream reporters reporting crimes of trump or anyone else saying just more hi-jinx from the republicans, get serious! mainstream news not taking trump and his threats seriously got him elected in 2016 and we know how that went so please, do your job as arbiters of the truth, not bothism! to your guest today: republicans are maga there isn’t maga and republicans, they are one.

I or anyone can go into Walmart pharmacy (for the last ten years) buy a vial of insulin, no prescription, no doctor, no insurance (please pay attention now) for $24. Anytime during the last 10 years. No insurance, no doctor, no prescription, voila. Thus, the hoopla about reducing insulin costs is ? I love Ali Velshi - sharp, on point, seemingly relentless in his craft, but…can someone please write new theme music for him? The current one is discordant, strange, uncomfortable and jarring. It doesn’t suit any cable news host especially someone as hard-working as Mr. Velshi. Please change his theme music. He deserves something way better than what he has now. Thank you from a big fan of Velshi.

Content is great. Only 4 stars because the podcast is sloppy. Today’s podcast is wrong; replay from a previous date. Commercials pop up in the middle of sentences. Sometimes doesn’t post until days later. 🙄

Are you kidding? You are debating whether incarcerating mentally Ill people is an actual thing you are allowed to do???!!! NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO INCARCERATE OTHER PEOPLE AGAINST THEIR WILL!!! YOU ANIMALS!!! No one is allowed to incarcerate American citizens without due process no matter how bad they smell or how weirdly they behave!!! Involuntarily committals to mental health hospitals are the exact same as jails, these people are Ill, they are not criminals—even if they were, you can’t lock them up without due process! And any stupid doctor who participates in this illegal activity should loose their license and be incarcerated themselves!!! Last I checked Psychologists are not part of the Judicial branch of government. This is ABSOLUTELY ILLEGAL!!! Are you kidding me ALI VELSHI???!!! THIS IS NOT OK!!! At least when Donald Trump ponders sedition he has the courtesy to own it and warn everyone first. DISGUSTING!!!

I like Ali Velshi, he’s intelligent and his topics are pertinent. But in producing the podcast, someone has weirdly decided to throw in commercials mid-interview, mid-sentence even. This is insulting and diminishes Ali’s message. Either these editors are lacking in rational thought, or they think they will force us to listen to the garbage - mostly ads for shows I will not watch or listen to. I’m going to have to unfollow this podcast if the editors don’t stop. What a shame, Ali being undermined by his own staff.

I love Ali Velshi and I am so glad that his show is available on podcast. He is an excellent interviewer and often shines a light on important stories that otherwise would receive little or no attention. He is a consummate professional and always manages to find the perfect balance between covering the news and highlighting the humanity of a story. As a listener, I do have a request for the person or people responsible for formatting the show for podcast. The advertisements seem to be spliced into the wrong places in the show. I have noticed in several episodes that there are a few places where there are 15-30 seconds of “dead air” where I’m guessing the ads are supposed to go. Then, in the places where the ads are inserted, someone is mid-sentence when they are interrupted by an ad. It would be great if this could be fixed.

Ali Velshi is a superior newscaster. There are many newscasters on MSNBC that I love, but next to Rachel Madow, who I am having withdrawals about only seeing or hearing her on Mondays, Ali is my next favorite, and he is not regular! MSNBC has succeeded in wooing me away from CNN. I guess it’s a good thing, or I would never change the channel.

Ali should have been Rachel Maddie’s permanent fill in.

You know what would be great? IF THE SHOW ACTUALLY POSTED NEW EPISODES! There are some weeks when MSNBC couldn't be bothered to upload new episodes even though they air on TV every week. Last week for example had no episodes and this week is already off to a bad start with The Cross Connection being uploaded, but not Velshi.

Love the podcast. But no one listening wants a Walmart Plus membership, especially described by a breathless millennial who ends declarative sentences with a question mark. Stop it!!

Why does it take “Velshi” so long to drop compared to all other pods????
