    Grateful for this show
Always so happy when there’s a new episode. Thoughtful and meaningful look into politics at the top of my political podcast list. Thank you Ken.

An absolute treat of a podcast!
Ken truly has an unrivaled knowledge of politics, and it's great he recently decided to continue his podcast. I've been a listener of his since he was at NPR, and he is so much better now in his own show. Ken also has a deep respect for democracy, the great leaders of our country, and the political process, and this respect comes through in every episode, especially when he recounts stories of past politicians. Take a listen to the Political Junkie - you won't regret it!

    Humor, intelligence and insight
Great to see Ken continuing his podcast. I have been a fan since his days with Ron Elving and the NPR politics podcast.

I jumped for joy when I saw there was a new episode of the Political Junkie. One of my favorite podcasts for the knowledge and humor that Mr. Rudin brings to each episode. Welcome back. You were missed!

The reason people love politics, you will understand with this podcast
If you are looking for insight, knowledge, humor, passion and the reason people love politics, you will want to listen to this podcast. This is my favorite podcast of all, full of incredible interviews with people that were directly in the action and tons of on the ground experience, Ken Rudin bring kindness, genuine understanding, and I level of depth and memory that never ceases to amaze. He shares ideas from all political parties and you always get great voices and friendly political discussions full of respect for all the guests and kindness which leaves you loving politics even when the current climate of our politics is less than ideal. If you are a political junkie, you have found a great place to visit!

    All-time classic
I’ve been tuning into Ken Rudin since his NPR days. There’s never been one lame episode or ho-hum show. He delivers! This is the podcast for true political junkies - those who appreciate the history of US politics and the journalists who cover it.

    Love this!
Only think wrong with this show is that it is not out more often. Smart, level political talk and news.

And now we can listen to the shows whenever we want too What an interesting marvelous world we live in I rarely ever missed one but lucky for all of us we have all his tapes Please please don’t leave us Dear Boy Yes, your broadcasts are shorter but still very pertinent DONT LEAVE ME KEN !!!!

    Sponsor Ken Again
The worst mistake NPR has ever made was shutting down the original podcast with Ken and Ron Elving together. Their deep knowledge of politics and history combined with the pun and joke competition with each other was the highlight of any week. And here Ken continued on his own with substantive interviews and an emotional perception that most interviewers lack. Ken’s empathy, his reverence for the political process and why it can solve social problems, his wit and humor, made me a Political Junkie junkie. Please sponsor him again and keep him on the air!

    Disgraceful Cawthorn Hitjob
This episode is a hit job on a horrific injury of a republican (which is important because this would never be the case with a dem) and is the reason I will be unsubscribing. I’m sad because I thought you have been quite fair to both sides. Unfortunately their aren’t any great podcast for a center right person.

One of my favorite places to review politics
Let me first say that ANY podcast, especially political, that includes sound clips from The Sex Pistols is doing a fine job reporting the news. Now that’s out of the way, I can say how wonderful it is to find a show that gets down to the nitty-gritty and play-by-plays across the political spectrum and history in such a concise and digestible manner. Ken presents the issues and current events in a way that makes you feel like you have heard enough about an issue to have a basic understanding of something and go on with your day should you chose. That being said he almost always puts something into the mix that you haven’t heard of, or have forgotten about, and plants the seed for the listener to dig deeper into the subject. Long time listener but first time reviewer 💁🏻‍♀️

Excellent podcast, but cut the bumper music
Fantastic analysis of current politics with deep dives into historical precedents and events. This would be 5 stars but all the unnecessary bumper music makes the podcast far too long and requires constant fast forwarding.
  • Sspragens
Ken, the walking US Political History textbook!
Political reporting and stories with the credibility of a host who has an encyclopedia inside his noggin.

Episode 347 only 1 second long?
FYI - The description said the file was previously corrupted and it looks like the download of the new version hasn’t worked. Send us the new episode!

    Excellent!
Keep it going Ken! You’re a bright spot in my politics🤗

    Country over politics
I’ve enjoyed Ken’s sense of Yuma and comprehensive knowledge for decades. Show337 showed us his patriotism and devotion to democracy. The guests were just what is needed for this election year. Thank you, Ken, for opting to focus on governing instead of politics at a critical time. From your podcast to the voters’ ears!

    Been listening for years
These days, when kindness, decency, and a good natured sense of humor that’s actually meant to make people laugh and not cause someone else pain, have all but disappeared from the world of politics, I’m thankful for someone like Ken Rudin. His podcast is fascinating, informative, and always good for a chuckle. As a political junkie myself, I know I’ll be listening for as long as he’s making shows. Thanks Ken!

    The best
A must listen for all. Well done and professional. Excellent broadcast for news junkies and those interested in politics and history
  • MaryLcai
Best podcast about historical and current politics out there.
I can’t wait until each Political Junkie podcast is released each week. Ken Rudin is one of the best plus he has great guests on.

    Simply indispensable
There is no other way to describe Ken Rudin’s Political Junkie than as an indispensable part of my week. Thank you for bringing the best interviews and commentary. I listened when things weren’t so crazy, and I sure listen now.

Ken Rudin is an American Hero
Every episode is a history lesson which gives context to current affairs. Ken’s analysis is a reality check and a sanity check. I look forward to his show every week.

    Educational and Entertaining
Great podcast- informative, funny, honest, educational. And the music between segments is sooo much fun, usually an “oldie but a goodie “ in the mix.
  • ChrisMN1
    Excellent
I just really like Rudin and his interview style.
  • Molly_wog
Political Junkie? Just another white male misogynist.
Ken Rudin not only interviewed sexual-predator-Bob Packwood on his May 24, 2018 podcast, but he failed to even mention that Packwood was forced out of the senate because he repeatedly sexually assaulted women. In Packwood’s own telling, one of these women wouldn’t have entered the xerox room in his office if she hadn’t wanted him to force himself on her. Packwood is a monster and the interview this week demonstrated that Rudin is inexcusably tone deaf and doesn’t care about women. In the past I had recommended the podcast to a few people but today you lost a listener.

    A Civil, Well-Rounded Political Podcast
I listen to and have tried to listen to many political podcasts. Rudin’s by far is the most informative and fair. He takes on conservatives, liberals, and everyone in between with respect and civility. He manages to ask the tough questions and still maintain his guest’s respect. Rudin nimbly places today’s politics in the context of greater national and world politics. It’s a great show. I learn something every time.

    Never miss an episode
Ken must have the fattest rolodex in DC, because he gets some of the most insightful and knowledgeable guests. I always learn something new that's interesting. Ken is common sense, even toned, and fair to guests no matter what side of the aisle they represent. He has an encyclopedic brain of political facts and occurences that really allows him to intelligently discuss so much with his guests. Finally, he has wit. I laugh out loud at some of his Facebook posts.

    Great Political Podcast!
Really, what’s not to like about Ken Rudin? The only thing better is his mom!

    Great podcast
This is my favorite political podcast, but can you please bring the levels down on the musical sections?
  • Moops Again
Always a joy to listen to
Even when current events are depressing or frustrating, Ken manages to keep a things positive and informative. He covers the newest political news but also takes the time to look back and US polical history and put todays events into perspective. A great host with terrific guests. He manages to not give away his personal party leanings, if he even has one. His segement on the life and assassination of Bobby Kennedy, Episode 140, left me weak in the knees and desearves special recognition.
  • jtcapell
    interesting, quirky and relevant.
I have been listening to this podcast for about 6 months. I used to listening to Ken on NPR and missed it when it stopped. I am glad I found him on this podcast. He has some intesting political history info contests that get me to thinking. His features are interesting and timely and the historical interviews are always a good chance to go back in my memory (I am a senior citizen) to those times with interviewees who were relevant to the story. I highly recomend it for young and old devotees of the game of politics.

Objective Political Analysis, Objectively Funny Jokes
Ken Rudin is a political journalism savant that has some weird sense of humor. If you want to hear an adult's perspective, and not just a bunch of friends talking to hear their own voices, this is a good place to start. NPR did wrong to let Ken Rudin go.
  • What could go wrong
    Political inside baseball
If your looking for a real political based discussion on current events then Ken won't disappoint. Ken leaves the punditry behind and discusses issues with a wide breath of knowledge and experience. Also, he adds guests from the past political events; which a young listener may learn from and a seasoned one may reminisce. Still miss the Ken and Ron duo, but I'm a listener for life.

    Excellence in Iffy Times
A refreshingly thoughtful and historically conscious political show.
  • Hillsboro Willie
    Thoughtful and insightful
Terrible puns notwithstanding, this is the best politcal podcast ever. With the best bumper music ever! Great historical perspectives and analysis.
  • Jgw;o)
Even with the puns and dad jokes...
...this is a great listen. Fill up on analysis of current politico antics plus history and trivia.

    The Best
It's a must listen every week. I feel that the best part of the show, which might be overlooked by some, is Ken's ability to provide historical context to the many issues that he covers. I feel much more informed as a citizen whenever he covers a topic. Oh, and even his bad jokes are pretty great.
  • LookListenHooray
    So happy I'm back
I used to listen to Ken Rudin religiously years ago and somehow fell out of it. I'm so glad I found it again for the smartest (and punniest) political talk.
  • RachelSofie
    Favorite political podcast
The combination of wit, humor and in-depth information cannot be matched...listen!
  • Marphfff
    Definitely my favorite podcast!
Thank you Ken and crew - you're the best!
  • studioglyphic
    Longtime listener, first time reviewer
I've been listening to Ken Rudin the Political Junkie since the Talk of the Nation days with Neal Conan and It's All Politics with Ron Elving. I look forward to each weekly episode, and have particularly enjoyed the monthly episodes that brought Neal or Ron back as special guests. This show and the 538 and NPR politics podcasts are my three must-listens, and only Ken Rudin has that groan-inducing sense of Yuma each and every week. It's a Butte.
