GylerYay!Great podcast! Love sumo!! Such a good January tournament

Hyacinth MilesTHISSSSThis is the podcast I've been looking for: informative, professional. So much of being a gaijin sumo fan with dirty gaijin eyes is struggling to watch tournaments and get information. I spend a lot of time listening to weird dudes on YouTube yelling into microphones. This is great.

DJ G GrrlLast time i fell in love with Sumo…There were no podcasts, very little internet actually, and hardly any ways to watch it. So, my love for Sumo went on the back burner for a very long time (i’m talking Akebono times)…. And then, Netflix picked up Sanctuary. And my love was/is back!!! These days you can google nearly everything….searched for podcasts, and, as luck would have it, i found SumoKaboom first!! I went all the way back to episode 1 and they were (are) so informative and, frankly, hilarious. There are others but not as fun! SumoKaboom is my go-to podcast about Sumo!! Thanks!! ❤️❤️

meepbobeep1My fave source for everything sumoIt’s great to have something for American sumo fans. These Texas sisters bring their own style of sumo commentary, as well as bring in some fun fan stuff and info on current news and old traditions. It’s very welcoming to newbies, but even as someone who has followed sumo for years I’ve learned a lot from their shows. They’ve got a unique take, and they’ve also had great guests in 2022! I look forward to see what they do in the future!

RasgardsSuper fun podcast for new and veteran sumo fans. すごい !Laurie and Leslie are bringing a whole lotta fun to the English-speaking sumo world. Even if you are new to sumo, you will love the excitement and creativity these fans radiate in their podcast. They share a uniquely southern woman’s perspective on the national sport of Japan, which is refreshing and entertaining.

Thufir_HawatOne listen and you will be hooked. This podcast is delightful! The hosts' knowledge of the sport and the wrestlers is impressive, and their presentation is beyond engaging. Even with (or maybe because of) my not being familiar with the subject, I was completely engaged from the very first episode. Leslie's and Laurie's enthusiam and genuineness is utterly infectious. So funny, so smart, and oh so earnest. I cannot wait to hear what is next.

malko82Kaboom goes my heart! There’s a virus going round, and I’ve got it... “Sumo Kaboom” virus. Sorry, I shouldn’t have mentioned the virus... This is great Sumo content, filtered through fun. Sisters, living with their parents, and making a podcast about sexy Sumo? What’s not to love? The ONLY thing that they could build upon is a ‘Sumo joke of the day’. Like; ‘do Sumo Wrestlers train by lifting Grandfather clocks? Sumo the time’. Everyone, enjoy. And, if you do, spread the word. Spread the right kind of virus.

tombartosI never thought I’d be so interested in sumo wrestling! You don’t know it, but your entire life has been leading you to this podcast. Laurie & Leslie, two TX sisters, really know their sumo! It’s absolutely delightful listening to their enthusiasm about a sport they discovered, but didn’t grow up with. They’re funny, curious, and have strong opinions on the sport (and their favorite athletes). Side note, because of this podcast, I started watching sumo highlights on YouTube, and I’m now feeling very self conscious about my hip flexors.
